I would like to know if someone here know how to set default CSC on JB custom ROM.
My Custom ROM is CMW flash-able, however developer set it as different location language and CSC.
I know this can be done by changing the CSC sales code by keypad.
Normally on custom ROM after flash from CMW we see the JB startup wizard to guide first time boot the phone.
My question is how do I change selectable by default? on language and location and press next to continue?
On build.prop it self I already change
ro.product.locale.language=en
ro.product.locale.region=GB
But it seem doesn't work, it always pointed to different language & region.
go to csc folder you will find file called customer.xml, open it and change language code.
Code:
<Phone>
<DefLanguage>[B][color=blue]ar_AE[/color][/B]</DefLanguage>
<DefLanguageNoSIM>[B][color=blue]ar_AE[/color][/B]</DefLanguageNoSIM>
<DateTimeFormat>
<DateFormat>ddmmyyyy</DateFormat>
</DateTimeFormat>
<VisiblePassword>off</VisiblePassword>
</Phone>

I read all the available guides and tried with a lot of custom roms... how to change CSC???
I tried *#272*IMEI# and set a new CSC, from the available list. Phone reboots and seems to flash something by showing the progress bar. But after that *#272*IMEI# or *#*#1234#*#* show me again the original CSC code!
The only way I got successful is by flashing CSC from Odin. In this way I loose compatility from ROM versions... and sometimes I noticed lags in rom functionings.
HELP!
Where I'm wrong??

Tried also to manually copy CSC folder (under /system/csc/ITV) to corresponding folders... overwriting original files...
Now I can see ITV when pushing *#272*IMEI# but with *#*#1234#*#* I can see OXA again!!!
Remove required CSC files as above from original rom or CSC rom .
Custom rom open with win rar or 7zip do not extract .
Delete CSC folder delete CSC files and CSC version text delete SW Configuration XML file .
use ADD tab to add original CSC files to replace those deleted .
Close zip and flash via CWM .

Tried (with Cognition Rom) but typing *#*#1234#*#* I can see OXA again.. even if the only CSC available in the /system path is ITV!
Typing *#272*IMEI# I can see only ITV.
Also, how to check the CSC is set right? Are there other checks available?

Working fine for me after some adjustment
Hello,
trying to repair an error that is bugging me to hell. When you run the recovery than thers a thing, this thing ('/system/csc/MOT/system/', proceeding with MULTI CSC)
So I was thinking that when I would flash it with the correct CSC file from my carrier MOT and get rid of the the Multi one.
And yes, does any one know why is my stock recovery written in red? Da faq ;/
I know that i can edit the previous post, but let this serve as a bump.
Is there a way lets say I could copy my carriers csc into the multi one and delete all others and then rename the whole flashable zip with the right name as it were my carriers separate csc file and just integrate it into the multi csc file. Probably I can do it this way, but in the multi csc zip there are three files in it;
- cache.img.md5
- GT-I9070_EUR_XX8G.pit.md5
- hidden.img.md5
so which of them should be modded to? How are those two files involved in the cache one which has the csc info? Why is there a pit file again? Or in other words.. which files trigger the correct order to successfully apply the modded csc.
If you can help me, I can guaranty that there will be "thanks" raining as Im not alone with this problem.

No... I had to install a custom rom based on the G900F model, the only solution I've found on internet.
There's a way to find out whether "hidden" language exists.
Get Explorer or Root Explorer (both are from Speed Software).
Go to /system/framework and "view" framework-res.apk
Go to /res and find raw-xx.xx folder.
If the folder number is more than number of languages from the phone, you should be able to enable "hidden", but if the number is the same, forget it.
Is there a way to unpack/pack the CSC?
I would like to add a display language right from the beginning on the current CSC that I have.
My phone is a Canadian version.
I can open and see the files of the CSC that I use and I can add in XML the extra language but I don't know how to packetize it as CSC
in order to flash it to my phone
