[Q] Galaxy Player Slowdown After encountering a problem after flashing a rom? - Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0, 5.0

Ermm the other day I rooted my sgp 5 us version for the first time and used entropy's kernel and eriyigit's custom rom. Everything went rather smoothly after flashing the rom. But then after reading more in the forums, it seemed to me that chip's rom was swifter. After flashing to chip's rom I wasn't able to connect my sgp to my laptop anymore no matter how hard I tried so i flashed back to eriyigit's but then it started bootlooping so I went back to chip's (But I still couldn't connect to our computer) then finally back to a stock based firmware wherein it still bootlooped. After recovering through certain circumstances I then flashed back to chip's to check whether maybe something happened before hand in eriyigit's rom or something might have conflicted with it that caused it to not be detected by the computer. But it still failed so again it bootlooped after going eriyigit's then recovered it. After finally settling for eriyigit's rom my sgp suddenly had a performance decrease it lagged horridly, way worse than before it was rooted. I even tried installing chainfire 3d and an adrenaline which to no avail still failed. I was wondering what can I do to restore its previous performance. Or should I go back to a stock based firmware. (btw im still using entropy's kernel)

[Q] Loss of signal( LOS )

here's my problem:
when ever i leave phone to be in deepsleep mode,
i cam back to find it looking for GSM signal with no hope, restarting fixing the signal.
tried diffrent roms, CM7, MIUI,with all kind of kernels nothing works
phone condition is fine, did't drop it or hardware issues on it.
was working great for last 6 months, but after i flashed a ton of diffrent CM roms this starts to happen,
my thoughts:
could it be a NVdat.bin issue doing this?
if so, what i can do to let the phone re build fresh ones,
+ i have old backup of EFS folder.
can you share your thoughts please?
I had the same thing happened to me and my friend's phone in the last week. Both running the ported gingerbread roms. Had to Odin back and finally working. Not sure if it was the Rom or something. My phone says it shows a baseband of UVKB5 which is the correct modem.
Finally flashed back to froyo and had it working, now just reflashed a gingerbread rom and it's working again.

odining back to JFD solved the problem.

[Q] Why is my device UNROOT?

Recently I switched back to pacman rom after trying out some of the others roms contained in the development centre. However after performing a full wiped and flash back into PACman rom. Install TB and tries to backup it says my phone is not rooted how come? I tried flashing to other roms like slimbean, revolt and its working fine.
change the kernel (dorminax v8.14 is table for me ), this might be probably the problem

[Q] GT-I9305 has multiple issues

My Galaxy S3 GT-I9305 LTE was running Liquid Smooth 2.37. Recently I lost notification and phone ring sounds and now I have lost baseband and I have no cell signal.
In the phone's 'about' section the baseband field is empty. Android version showing is 4.3.
I'm not quite sure what I did wrong, first to try and get back the sounds and then baseband, I have been playing around with various custom and stock ROMS and kernals to get full functionality back.
I've read tons of help posts but nothing works.
Here's a few of the things I've tried with results in brackets, used CWM recovery to restore working backup (failed 'unsupported file' message),
reflashed kernals (neither Boeffla nor yank555 have worked, wipe/data restore in CWM (it still takes me back to 4.3 with no baseband).
I thought I'd re-flash back to the phone's original stock ROM using Kies, but the weird thing is Kies doesn't restore, it upgrades to the latest 4.3 ROM which fails to restore baseband.
I wanted to send the phone back to the 4.1.2 it came with or was it an earlier ROM? I can't remember as I didn't note it down, I bought the phone second hand, it arrived loaded with a stock ROM for Australia's Optus network. I promptly rooted and flashed the phone to Liquid Smooth and the phone ran fine for months on the 2 Degrees Network in New Zealand.
Anyway, I must have tried reflashing a dozen stock roms I've found online using Odin. Some of them partially work, I get sound back, (it seems only the 4.3 ones work, with the german I9305XXUEMKC reliably loading - it even gives me a NZ english install option) but don't restore the baseband
. All the ones I've found for Optus are rejected, I get the 'unsupported device' or status 7 error in Odin.
So I decided to flash one that works, install cwm, root the phone and try installing different baseband kernals to fix the (probably corrupt) efs.
But I'm going round in circles trying to root the phone. Using CWM, supersu shows as successfully installed, but when I boot into the OS root checker shows my phone is not rooted. Knox seems to obstruct every attempt I make to disable it as well. I keep getting these 'knox stopped etc...from working messages'.
I'm sorry if my description is a bit confusing, I'm happy to clarify anything.
I'm at my wits end. I want to try everything before I have to ship the phone off to a repairer who may charge me hundreds of dollars to fix the phone.
This is I9300 not I9305 Q&A
Use the report button and ask a mod to move to the correct forum .
I can offer no help as i fail to understand the post .
As said before you are in wrong place and are not giving us a clear question to answer. If its a root problem there are fixes for it. Status 7 error is discussed in many threads. Flashing MG4 modem fixes efs problem. Downgrading causes problem. Learn to search before making a thread.

[Xperia P] Phone crashes shortly after successful boot - independent from ROM!?

Hi,
I have quite a serious problem with my phone.
I used stable CM11 as my ROM lately, worked nice, seemed to be ok. Now, if I want to boot my phone, it suddenly crashes as soon as I want to enter unlock code. "Funny" thing is, performing a full backup via TWRP didn't help.
So I decided to wipe everything (even sdcard) and do everything from scratch, including flashing boot.img. After flashing the ROM zip, it's still the same.
After that, I flashed boot.img from AOSP 5.1 Unstable, installed this new, different ROM (which I had successfully tested on my device before) and STILL THE SAME?!
What's going on here? It sounds a bit like defective hardware, but I never experienced a crash when I was in Recovery mode, so that's quite unplausible.
My last idea is to flash stock ftf. Perhaps this will help...

S6 edge freezing on games

Hi guys! I have my s6 edge for a while now and I have flashed too many roms over and over again.
My problem is that recently it just randomly crash whenever I do heavy games or sometimes after I unlock and go to the camera. I had to do the power + volume up reset in order to reboot the phone. Sometimes when it freezes the music still goes on.
I was wondering if this is a firmware problem or hardware? The phone is almost 2 years old. I flashed a custom kernel for nougat before I flashed the stock rom using odin. I really need your help and opinions. Thanks!
tldr; I should have verified if I have flashed the stock kernel even if I flashed it with odin because the custom kernel may have caused the random freezes.
What I did was flashed all the roms that I have saved and finally flashed the latest stock UK Nougat firmware.
Maybe it was because I flashed a N0G33K [mm/n] before I flashed the stock MM, which didn't overwrite the old kernel with the stock.
Hope this helps for someone in the future!
