[Q] Help me choose my phone - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I am new user in here and the list with topics is so long...so I decided to write a new one and wait for a good advise.
I have Htc desire from 2 and a half years and now I want to change it. But there is the dilema...Htc One X, Htc One S or Samsung Galaxy S 3.
This is the big question. So pls help me by telling which is better (from your experience).

Are you serious?
Are you on a S III forums asking for advice on what phone to buy?

I think you'll find every one here will say Samsung s3

HTC one S all the way.
Much easier to fit in your pocket.

IPhone 5
Nah I'm not really gay. S3 is a belting phone. Wouldn't swap it for anything else on the market right now

If hardware is most important then S3,if software, then nexus 4.

Wait for the s4

Removing splashscreens

Hi all I'm new to android moving from a iphone. Now I purchased the Samsung galaxy s3 2 weeks ago. I was wondering is there any way to remove the spllashscreen from my carrier. I purchased this in the UK from the carrier three. Overtime I start the phone .ir shows the carrier logo same as when I switch it off and to be honest I can't stand it. I have rooted my device but just can't find a way to remove the splashscreen.
Would really appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction
Thanks

Try the S3 forum for your device model.

Thanks didn't see there was a s3 specific sub forum

You could connect to Kies and update to the newest version.
Usually updates from the company itself don't include the Carrier bloat ware.

Opinions needed please

Ok first off i hate these questions but i can get a brand new sealed 10.1 wifi/3G 16GB for £249 i know the galaxy tab 2 is out etc but is buying the 10.1 for that price over other tablets still worth it?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
I think it's a fair price if you want a 10 inch screen and if you put cyanogenmod on it.
Thanks jay for taking the time to answer

If you didn't have the Note or Note 2, what phone would you most likely be using now?

For me, I think Samsung Galaxy S III hands down. Runner up would be the HTC One X. That's also a very good looking phone.

Man, SGSIII is taking over the android market now. More power to Samsung!

I would probably still be using my 4.5 Samsung Infuse, running AOKP JB.
Razor Maxx hd but i don't know if i can go back to a non amoled screen.

I had the Streak. Beautiful screen and design. It was just too slow for me so I sold it.

Streak is a dinosaur these days

Iphone 5 is good if you like simplicity. Android is more of modders type of phone.

Same.
I would probably have tried to get a HOX if I didn't love the note so much.
Probably some cheap flip phone. Kinda getting tired of paying 190$ a month for 2 phones when neither me or my wife make calls and send maybe 500 texts a month and now wifi is at 9/10 of the places I visit.

Samsung Galaxy S3 unbranded, definitely.

Reminds me of a time before these nice android tablets, I got a Samsung Q1 Ultra and hated windows and linux on it, so I ported Android-x86 donut to it.
Just a little after that the Streak came out and I felt like I wasted my time and money.
I had an AT&T HTC One X, but I got it early and I kept getting emails from people saying that they tried calling me but I never got the calls.
I returned it and got the Note.
I would probably also be on an sgs3.
HTC one x.which I have... tried the s3. Didn't impress me at all.. still waiting for my perfect phone. If the one x had a SD slot and a battery u can swap out. That would be my perfect phone.

Note 2 keyboard for galaxy s3 I747?

Hi this really isnt that important but does anyone know of a zip or any way to get the note 2 keyboard on the I747? The layout is better, the look and feel of everything is so much better than the s3 stock if anyone could point me in the right direction it would be great.

Thinking about the HTC one

I have the s4 thinking about the one due to some of the laggy issues. But people who have had the s4 or note 2 which is what I had before did you adapt to the smaller screen easier?
Sent from my GT-I9505 using xda premium
Yeah smaller screen size did not take me long at all to adapt to, I had the s4 for a day before the one and a note 2 for a bit before I don't regret the move to the one at all.
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
I had the note 1 forever and then the note 2 and now the s4 I'm just worried I couldn't adapt to an even smaller screen and won't have a way to go back to the s4 incase I did not like it
Sent from my GT-I9505 using xda premium
I enjoy this size of screen completely... Boom sound and the better screen makes up for it!
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
If it was not for closet att store being an hour away I'd easily go play with one but I guess I will
Sent from my GT-I9505 using xda premium
It doesn't seem much different in size from the s4 to me honestly big change from the note but I adjusted fine

I recently switched from Sprint to T-Mobile, before switching I asked them to try the network before I switched. They gave me a S3 to use. Using the S3 was great, but this HTC One really shines!
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
I never cared for the s3
