Hi,
Just bought a SG S2 to replace my old Xperia X10 which I had a lot of fun with but it is dual core time and I am also keen to try out the DSLR controller apps with my Canon SLR.
Flashing and rooting on SG S2 is pretty easy but I have found out that Samsung has recently removed the API for USB OTG so only certain USB devices are working and no luck DSLR controller.
Have google and also search the forum but there seems to be no news on getting this back.
So my questions is:
1) Does anyone knows what Samsung has removed and anyone got plans on adding it back? I am just using 2.34 KH3 for the time being until I get a newer firmware to work.
2) Any idea if ICS is likely to have support for the USB OTG with DSLR Controller?
Finally a bit of topic but I tried the Miui rom for GS2 and it is pretty ok apart from the camera apk which I believed is a Miui generic which doesn't work quite as well as the stock camera apk e.g. pictures doesn't like as nice and no ISO settings ..etc. But I think I saw some thread saying that you cannot use the stock camera.apk on Miui rom as it has some dependency require from the stock rom.
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks
Moving to Q&A
I recently bought the MHL HDMI Output cable for my Galaxy S2, plugged it and only recieved a static image via HDMI,
I am using CM9 Nightlies and i understand that this ROM does not support HDMI, does anybody know of any ROMs that currently support HDMI output?
I know that Stock does but i'm not a fan of touchwiz.
Thanks!

Stock based Roms are the only option for now.
Advise:
Try dual booting Aosp with a stock ROM.
You can theme the stock ROM with ICS domination, then install apex or Nova launcher.
Good luck
Swyped from my Galaxy SII
I've heard that MHL is working on the SGS III with CM 10.1 - Can anyone confirm if there's a working version for the Note II? I installed the 4/27 nightly and it seems that the phone hard locks when plugging the MHL in.
Same here i use my phone for my pioneer appradio and on cm 10.1 roms it freezes up is there a fix out there
Hi,
just got myself a DAC and AMP (Ibasso D0)...
This thing is able to use digital out from f.i. Galaxy S3 and Note 2 through the USB OTG cable....
I saw that Redpill S2 Kernel (but is not for Jelly Bean) has experimental support for it...
Anyone got this working on an S2 somehow?
Thanks !
Nope.
Is there a ROM available for the original Galaxy Note I717 AT&T which has MHL support with Android 4.2.2 or higher?
I would like to use the phone to stream video and send to big screen using HDMI.
My MHL cable works great on stock Samsung JB 4.1 but version is not high enough to use Chromecast ready apps.
In a word, no
