Thanks I really want Waze.

Waze doesn't exist for Windows Phone. If it did, it would be on the marketplace.

Okay first off what firmware version do you have on your rooted nook and second of all how did you root your nook? if you used either MonsterRoot or autonooter you should have access to the market if you followed all the steps and can find different versions there like Astro and Root Explorer. There is also the nook app if you changed your launcher. if you didnt then you should be able to just read books through barnes and noble's launcher. second of all you should be able to plug your device into your computer and it should be recognized. rooting your device doesnt ruin your ability to connect and transfer files from your computer to your nook color, it just allows you to do more things with it. fun interesting things!
App Install
First you need to download the apk of the program you want to install, once you have that all you need is the android SDK. As part of the SDK you get the android debug bridge to install an application all you do is:
adb install <path_to_apk>
Installing an Application
You can use adb to copy an application from your development computer and install it on an emulator/device instance. To do so, use the install command. With the command, you must specify the path to the .apk file that you want to install:
adb install <path_to_apk>
For more information about how to create an .apk file that you can install on an emulator/device instance, see Building and Running
Note that, if you are using the Eclipse IDE and have the ADT plugin installed, you do not need to use adb (or aapt) directly to install your application on the emulator/device. Instead, the ADT plugin handles the packaging and installation of the application for you.

Lumia 800 7.8 Developer unlock

Hi,
I updated my Lumia 800 to WP7.8 using Nokia Caresuite. Now I tried to unlock it with the phone registration tool coming with WP8 SDK. I am using Windows 8. The problem is, that the phone cannot be connected. Further in Zune I can't see how much space I'm using on my phone. Is there a new Zune for WP7.8?

update:
Windows 7 and WP 7.1 SDK worked.

No, just go ahead to control panel and uninstall everything whose manufacturer is Nokia (no need to uninstall ncs, and, of course, don't touch zune), and, of course, reboot. I had the same problem and it helped me and couple of other people.
I had a similar problem on my bro's Win 8 PC (as I am an osx user). We couldn't deploy the xaps so we just uninstalled zune and downloaded it from microsoft's site again and it worked fine after that.
I managed to unlock my phone and deploy the apps through the WP7 SDK. Did it on Windows 7, though. Worked like a charm.

mind to pm me how to do it?
I had the same problems, I had to uninstall the drivers after use of the update software. For some reasons the drivers of the updating software did not seem the same as the Zune standard drivers. *using 64xWindows8
After uninstalling everything, worked fine again

All you need to do is uninstall the WinUSB drivers so the Zune drivers will be used again.
hey guys. i'm here because i too have a lumia 800 wp7.8 and it has been unlocked using the windows phone developer registration app.
the problem is, i can't deploy any application onto my phone. i've tried countless of .xap files to deploy (using Application Deployment) but the status keeps saying:
"XAP file is invalid".
My phone is registered. it connects to the zune software (which i have uninstalled and installed according to the posts above).
I tried it with Tom XAP Installer and it said "Make sure device is unlock" and "make sure it is connected to zune & pc".
I also tried it with MultiXap installer and it said "nullable object must have value".
Please help me!
Is there any way around this? greatly appreciate your help.

What kind of XAP's are you deploying? Pirated apps, your own, or copies from the Marketplace?
Do you have any error codes? Are you using WP7 or WP8 sdk, which OS?

My XAP files are downloaded from the Marketplace. I chose "Download and install manually" and that's how I got them.
No error codes. When I click on "Deploy", the App Deployment program just wrote "Status: XAP file is invalid".
I'm using the WP7.1 SDK with the SDK WP7,8 update.
My laptop is running Windows 7. My phone WP7.8.
Thanks for the quick reply
Hope I provided enough information!

No, you cannot install xaps from marketplace this way, why would you need that? All this apps can be installed via marketplace on the phone. The point of developer unlock is to install homebrew apps and those that cannot be submitted to the marketplace.

Looking for Nokia Xpress 1.7.0.1043 for Windows Phone 8.1

Hi everyone,
I'd like to use Nokia Xpress 1.7.0.1043 browser on an old WP8.1 Lumia but it's not available from the store anymore. I found a direct download link for the store app but it won't sideload because it's no longer supported (why do companies remove apps they don't support rather than just leave them there with a message saying "no longer supported, no more updates"?!)
So, first question, does anyone know how to sideload store apps that are no longer supported? Do I have to interop-unlock the phone or something like that?
Alternatively, if anyone has the unencrypted files in a XAP then please can they share it? I found Opera Mini here on the forums and deployed it successfully.
All help much appreciated.
Cheers
Change rar to xap, copy to phone, click on it.
Disable data restriction, surf on web
Thanks for the file. I did as you suggested, but it wouldn't sideload. I also tried deploying it with the VS2015 WP8.1 SDK app deployment tool but got error 0x810301B. I'm a bit stuck but will try a few other things, any suggestions much appreciated.
Cheers
Dont sideload, y already tell. Copy to phone and click on it. Im mad....
I thought that copying to the phone was sideloading. Anyway, I did that and it tells me that there is a problem with my company app and it can't be installed, same the Opera Mini XAP I got from here did. So I tried to deploy it, which worked for Opera Mini, but didn't work for Nokia Xpress.
Unfortunately the phone froze a short time later, wouldn't recover after soft reset and is now bricked and only shows as QHSUSB_DLOAD in device manager. I guess I need to use Thor2 to recover it (since WDRT no longer supports older Lumias!).
How old? My lumia 530 is suported.
Ok, here is the app to sideload from PC. Delete rar extension.

The 530 is supported. I've got a 925 which is unfortunately (and bizarrely) not supported. There's no published list but if you load the tool, say your device cannot be detected then you get the list to select from. It supports the 1520 and later, excluding the 2520 or 525. Basically, the 525, 2520 and anything earlier than the 1520 are NOT supported, which unfortunately includes the 925.
So the app you put up is to copy from the PC to the phone then open with "install local apps" in the store, or to deploy with the SDK application deployment tool?
Thanks.
Deploy .

How to download an .appx file for offline installation?

Hi, I need to download a mobile app (x86 compatible) to be sideloaded on W10 pc.
The app is released for mobile only so I cannot install it from microsoft store, but I need it and I want to try to sideload it on pc.
The question is:
how to download appx bundle of mobile only apps?
will it work on pc?
Thanks!
You can download appx via this site: https://store.rg-adguard.net/
how i know you can`t install mobile appx on pc.
My reply
Gone are the days when Windows Store users were allowed to download XAP or APPX files manually for offline installations. With the introduction of Microsoft Store, Microsoft discontinued the option. Now, users are only allowed to install applications from the Store itself. This does not mean that you cannot install APPX files on your Windows 10 machine. But the main thing is getting an APPX file. For this, you can use a tool called Fiddler.
If you want to work with the source code of the program for a mobile phone, you can ask the developers or try to open it through the program.
It seems to me if you search you can find some kind of emulator that will display on the computer, but this is not accurate
EdbMails Office 365 migration tool is one of the most effective ways to migrate Office 365 tenants. I've used this software before, and it can easily move a huge number of mailboxes. I was able to contact their excellent 24/7 personal support at one point, and they were able to walk me through the procedure and requirements. If you're having trouble migrating to Office 365, I highly recommend EdbMails Office 365 migration tool.

Your IP or your compunter name or browser ID has been blocked or whatever they use to identify your computer has been blocked by microsoft server. It's also maybe limited to the number of time you can download a specific package that way.
I try to understand the way they decide to allow or forbid to download a package. I succeded to download 2 paid packaged app, one of them running just fine once unzipped (but could not install it as a UWP package because lack of certificate), the second one, still unzipped, missing shared dll to start, so downloaded successfully VCLibs.140 package but it refuse to install because to other insalled package has to be stopped first before that.
As the pace of the world picked up, professional workers began working remotely on a daily basis. This is because multiple companies have adopted new guidelines for working remotely with Microsoft Teams, making it important for companies to ensure their virtual teams have access to tools and technology to work on the go. I'm here. Because Microsoft 365 is completely cloud-based, users can work effectively anywhere, anytime, as long as they have an internet connection. Which makes many users and enterprises to adopt Office 365 Migration Services.

Before sideloading XAP files: do virus/malwarescanners know what to look for?

Hi,
I am thinking about sideloading a number of XAPs onto my Lumia 1020 (running Win 8.1) now that the store has been closed and I can no longer get them from my account.
I have scanned the files using Virustotal, and none of the engines found any viruses or malware. What I wonder about, however, is if these engines know what to look for in a XAP file. I realise it's essentially an archive that contains an executable, dlls and media, but also assume that Windows phone malware is not identical to the desktop OS equivalent.
Does anyone know?
Many thanks in advance!
No virus for windows phone.
