[Q] Evo 4G LTE WIFI Fix CM10???? - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

I have a Evo LTE and I have been running CM10 and kernel version 3.0.45-g87f6e19, I cant get the WIFI to ever get past "Turning Wi-Fi on" also my WiFi tether wont work. I also get my bluetooth towork and connect but my music programs and pandora wont play out to my car like it used to. With the bluetooth I did find the app "Blue audio" fixed the music side but i cant come up with any good fix for the Wifi. Old versions of CM10 I had WiFi..... Please Help Me!!!!

After doing a bunch of looking i found a bunch of other people with the same bluetooth problems so if it helps anyone the app BlueAudio has helped with music in my car as a tempory fix untill cm10 bugs are fixed.

Are u S-Off? Might be ur kernal I don't know what kernal is supposed to be installed off my head

[Q] Bluetooth issue!

Hi, i was experiencing an issue when connecting my phone to the car bluetooth radio... It actually connects and i can play sounds but here is the problem: whenever it plays a sound or when i use gps with voice directions, the sound comes out but its cut... for example, gps says "Turn left" but in car loudspeakers i hear "rn Left"... it is like if the bluetooth had a delay in transmit the audio or something like that.. please help me
thnx in advance
Are you using andy rom cause I hear there is a bluetooth bug with the quality

Ohh, i forgot to say that i have stock rom... i'm waiting for gingerbread
Well, maybe is a problem with rom, i hope it will be fixed in gingerbread, or i'll move to a modded rom
I has that trouble with stock gingerbread rom leaked. If you are using the same rom from the factory, maybe an update could help you.

You cannot install any custom kernel on that. Custom kernel -> no GSM.
Well, i installed 2.2.2; 2.2; 2.2 Noejn devoid froyo final, and guess what, the bluetooth issue is still there, i think i should give 2.3.3 a try, or install cm7....

I have run several kernels over stock 2.2 and over CM7RC1 and never lost GSM. I have heard that data is affected in some scenarios, so if that is what you mean I did not test that. I do not pay for data.
Well, finally i installed mik_os rom and bluetooth issue i had was finally gone BUT, i've just found that i cant do bluetooth calls with CAR radio thats very dissapointing since i use car everyday and need bt call over radio, and if i dont find a way to solve this i'll need to go back to a 2.2 or something.... any help? i'll try another kernel and see if it works
PS: Cyanogenmod = best thing since sliced bread IMHO!!!, waiting for a fix to be perfection1!!
The only workaround that i can think right now is to use a noiseless mp3 and repeat it forever... In fact i already did it, and well its a dirty dirty workaround but it works anyway.... Bluetooth stays "active" all the time, thus not taking a delay when recalling it and eating portions of sound

4G not working correctly

Hi, so the problem im having is my 4G works when im surfing the web or streaming netflix but im unable to download new apps or update apps..it just keeps saying "waiting for network", and when i switch to 3G or wifi it'll start the download or update. Does anyone know what i can do to fix this? btw ive tried 3 different roms(d3rp senseless, team genesis 3.2 and NIN terrible) and still the same problem. Its not a super big deal cuz 4G, 3G and wifi still works but it kinda bothers me that i cant DL and update apps.
Thanks
ps. Im on Hboot1.5 and s-on...and i always boot into recovery using the HTC unlock method and i wipe everything 3 times.

bluetooth connect/disconnects after rooting

I rooted and have s-off but have an issue since. My bluetooth headset will no longer stay connected to the phone (constant connect/disconnect). I tried to do a fix permissions via recovery as well as wipe cache/dalvik cache which didnt help and caused all of my contact pictures (in the messaging app too) to no longer show. Any suggestions as to get my bluetooth working again?
This has been hit or miss as I have flashed about 5 different roms and sometimes the bluetooth is more sensitive. I just flashed the newest radio update and was hoping that would fix that problem.

I flashed the new radios yesterday and it doesn't appear to correct the problem. This is frustrating as I just bought the EVO LTE (coming from OG EVO) along with a brand new earpiece and can't use the earpiece. I haven't flashed any ROMs yet, still running stock.
I'm running the 8/31 build of cmx and my Bluetooth audio disconnects occasionally and sometimes requires a reboot to connect. Also my phone calls rarely go to my Bluetooth.

Wifi out of range

I thought I saw a fix for this but I can't seem to find it.This happens to me regardless of what ICS rom I am on. Sometimes when I turn the screen on the wifi won't connect. It says it is out of range or it will just say that the connection is save. I have to turn the wifi off and the turn it back on and tell it scan. Then it will connect. I have tried changing the channel on the router and rebooting the router I connect to but that didn't help. Anybody know of a fix for this?
Unfortunately no...
I have the same condition when using ICS ...
It's very frustrating as you know ..
Since the chance of getting a fix is slim, considering jelly bean is the hot topic these days ...I've reverted to GB.
It's not perfect ....but at least the data and wifi are solid ....with great sound and call quality...
I'm staying rooted stock for a while.....g
I personally have not had any issues with wifi. I am running the ics Gubment Cheeze and have been since the first test build. Not once has my wifi not been there for me. Ics wifi has actualy been MORE stable than GB for me.
Just a silly question ... Do you both have your wifi set to keep wifi on during sleep?

Unfortunately for my my issue is there even on GB based roms. Not sure what is going on. Doesn't do it on my sister's skyrocket or her husband's iphone so I know the router is okay.
Wifi setting for me is "always on "...
As I try to take advantage of wifi hotspots ...when traveling..
On the ICS builds, I get notification of an open hotspot, but no auto connect.
But on stock GB ....I get auto connect every time.
I can't remember if ICS has the auto connect toggle...but GB does ....at least in the hotspot system app.
If ICS ran as well for me ...I'd keep it....as I think flappjaxxx ICS build is far better than stock ...but between the dreaded lag and connection issues, I bailed out for a bit ...or until I get these connection issues fixed..
Maybe I should move ???.....LOL

I am on flapjaxx and haven't had any issues with auto connecting to any of my 'known' wifi's (5 of them as i move from site to site). It detects the at&t hotspots but doesn't connect (i actually never tried to connect ) so don't know about connect automatically. Might test it out next time i am close to McD's.
It's an att specific fuction using the hotspot app ...
If it's a wifi hotspot registered on the ATT network, then it auto connects when in range.
But I believe the UCLF6 upgrade pulled this feature out...
There is a similar app on the market from ATT too duplicate this in ICS ...but it's unreliable, and a battery hog for Me...g
I will look into when i am off work. Think i disabled it myself one of these go arounds of flashing. (think i was tired of it popping saying that it was available ). Want to see if i can duplicate it for you.

thank you .....g
Well, looks like i didn't uninstall or freeze it, so imust have not been near one recently. Or just getting old and forgetting it. There's one done street from where i am. Will stop by on my way out and see what happens.
Sitting in McD'sdrive-thru as i type. At&t hotspot popped and connected automatically. Had to shut wifi off because it was super slow.( Lte in this area usually pulls 40-50mb downloads)

So your good ??
I love it when a plan comes together ....LOL ...g

Oh.....thats right...I'm confusing my threads....sorry....g
Yeah, sorry if i hijacked your thread there. Was looking at what Greg posted.
Have you tried reflashing only the modem? Flapjaxx has some stickied in the dev thread or you can pull one from a pure stock and put it in an existing flash zip. That's what I had to do. I had all kinds of problems coming from GB to ICS with the radio. Once I found one that worked I made a zip and keep it just in case. Haven't had to use it yet but you never know.

Thunderbolt fully flashed to cricket but no hotspot will work.

Anyone have any suggestions? Please help ASAP.
78 Views and no help at all? Bump
A few more details might help.... What hotspots have you tried? What was the error you got on your device or on the other? Could they connect to the phone and not the internet? What were the settings you used on the phone?
I only can get hot spot to work with liquids ics. Maybe try that rom
.
Refer to this thread. I have listed a working tethering app and included screen shots for how it should be set. Please read along.

I've tried with All apps on market, and the built in one. Tried on stock GB, LIQUID ICS JMOD MR3, CURRENTLY ON THUNDERSTICK BAREBONES. YEAH thinking I needed to downgrade but nothing. When ever I run any tethering app, it broadcasts and I can connect but the client gets no data. I see my data working but client goes nowhere online. Plus after I disconnect (via stop tether) I can no longer use data either. It does the same thing as the client....just hangs. I've tried wifi tether for root users version 2.07 all the way to newest beta, with suggested settings. I can't for the life of me figure this out. Thanks for trying though guys, anymore thoughts?
Bump
Bump. Still no solution.?Mods
