Follow these two, and you will find almost everything you need.
Steps:
- installing CWM
- unlocking bootloader
- flash custom kernel
- cwm flash custom ROM
- cwm flash GAPPS

Hello,
I have 2 (newbie) questions on how to update to a newer Build of the same custom Rom.
1.) Do I have to flash the new boot.img in the new Build zip or can I keep the boot.img from the previous Build I flashed before?
2.) If I back up my device with NanDroid in CWM and restore it after the installation of the new Build, will the device be completely be set up as it was in the previous installation (including home screens, log-ins,...)?
Device: Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini (st15i, "smultron")
custom rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2032900
Thanks
Hello everybody on XDA,
I am new to flashing custom ROM's and I decided that I want Kitkat on my Xperia P.
Currently I have stock JB rooted with a Locked Bootloader.
I know I need to take the following steps:
Unlock my bootloader
Flashing/Fastboot the Kernel
Flash the rom with CWM
Flash the Gapps with CWM
Everything is clear to me how I should do it, except for fastbooting a Kernel.
I have looked on different threads with different kernels and they all seem like the have a different method of flashing/fastbooting it on my device.
So my questions are how do you flash/fastboot the CM 11 Kitkat Kernel by Percy_g2 for Xperia P?
There is a Newbies thread on installing Kitkat for Xperia U. Is the process the same for Xperia P?
Do I need to install CWM before I flash the Kernel or does it come with that Kernel?
Anything else I should know before attempting to install Kitkat (Tips or any important information I may have missed)

Hi! I'm new to this thread, and I want to ask few questions about installing a CWM Recovery for my Xperia x10 so that I could install CM 10 (JB).
- Is it possible to install a CWM Recovery via xRecovery?
- What alternatives can I do in order to install CWM Recovery?
I am running on CM7, Android Version 2.3.5, Kernel version 2.6.29-00054-g5f01537 [email protected] #1
Thank you so much for very quick replies!
*Update: I can't boot my xRecovery all of a sudden, and some posts here won't work with my situation.

- Flash "byeselinux_flashabe.zip" with recovery
- Flash "RICDefeat.zip" with recovery
- Flash "Bootloop_fix.zip"
