When I close the final browser tab, it loads a new blank page.
Is it possible to have it so it loads my homepage, instead of a blank page?

Is it only me who thinks this is an annoying action by Samsung?
My Galaxy Nexus browser exited the app when the last tab was closed, and then when reloaded, it loaded my homepage again. I want this functionality back!

FYI, the sense bookmark widget uses the bookmarks from the stock internet app, so if you are using a different browser, it won't pull those bookmarks. Anyway, all you need to do is click on the black page bookmark, it will go to the website in question, it automatically caches a thumbnail for the widget, exit out, refresh widget, done.

I'm using stock browser and I've added a few bookmarks and all work but 2 gamefaqs and dish network. I didn't see an option to refresh but I did exit and reenter the app im assuming that would work but it did not.

If my cursor is still blinking in a text box ie. Search bar or login i cannot scroll without jumping back to the text input but if i click outside the box first i can scroll no problem

I used to see that with the original (2.3.4) stock ROM, but I haven't seen it yet since I switched to Unnamed. I'll give your fix a try if I see it again, it's very annoying!
It only ever happened to me on google search results.
On my inspire when on any web page when I zoomed on the page to be able to read it would readjust to fit the screen. Making it so I didnt have to scroll left to right. Do u guys follow me?? Is there a setting in the gs3 to make it do this or am I stuck with pages that I have to constantly navigate?? Thanks for any help.

Tried Chrome??
No, haven't tried chrome. I like the stock browser....but I'll give chrome a try and see how smooth it is compared to stock.

Yes, give it a try its uber smooth.
I'm not sure if this is what you meant by readjust, but a cool feature that HTC had was as you zoomed in, the page was fitted again in the zoomed in screen and you didn't have to scroll left right up down to read the page. I have just installed chrome and once you zoom in, it doesn't readjust!

On the browser, menu > settings > advanced > auto-fit pages. Is that what you're referring to?
Let me try it. Possibly
Edit. That feature is ticked. When you load the page, the page is fit to screen, but when you zoom in, htc browser realigns the text so that it fits the screen again. On the s3 you have to go left to right in order to read a text

I would also like this. Is HTC browser bound by framework??

Tried chrome it doesn't refit screen either. Thanks for th e responses tho....maybe someone will figure it out soon it's annoying.

I get what you mean. On my Galaxy S1, the text would reflow when I double tapped the screen after zooming, and this was a really useful function. But it doesn't seem to be present on the S3. As far as I know, this is controlled by the rom and not the app itself, so we might not get it on the stock rom.
Can anyone tell me how I can get a website to appear on the home screen as a icon? E.g I want to have news now everton website in my go launched dock as an icon. Any ideas?

There are two ways of doing it:
1.
- Open your stock browser or chrome or Firefox
- bookmark your favorite website.
- goto bookmarks, long-click on anyone and select add to home screen.
2. From your launcher.
- long click, select add shortcuts,
- choose bookmark and select your favorite one.
With method two, you must have previously bookmarks that page on your stock browser at least.
Click on the THANKS button if I've helped you

Is there any way I can make the Popup browser to open into Chrome instead of the Android Browser? Are there any alternate Popup browsers available in Playstore that enable me to open up the browser of my choice?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
Use flux browser you can find it in the play store
Edit: what do you mean by pop up?
If you have more than 1 browser it will prompt you to choose the browser before you open a link, just press just once so it will not be default
A simple THANKS button would suffice

Thanks I'll give flux browser a go
S3 Has a mini browser that opens up as a pop up window. You can move it around while not opening the default browser. This usually happens when using Google search bar.
When you press the expand button it takes me to the default Android Browser. I am looking for an alternative that would let me open Chrome instead of the default browser when expanded

I don't think there are any other popup browsers. I did not find any.
Thanks for your reply
I can't believe no one has thought of a good customizable Popup browser
