Scorpion "mortal kombat" lock screen. video, and files - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note I717

Latest lock screen I made, an easy follow up to street fighter lol. Again I'm running and flashing this on black star, however I have been working on a a massive thread with stuff for all the pop. ROMs out their. Its taking a while though cause all Roms don't like to play nice lol, soon though no doubt. Hope y'all enjoy
Side note, if the video goes grey I'll have it fixed soon, YouTube rendered it in 3d for some reason, and also on the actual download file there is no lag with the sound and the motion, its just the screen recorder I used to tape it.

Sound file: www.mediafire.com/?39auu35fluz1zt1
Lock screen: www.mediafire.com/?2cn6usn73xrxp37

Nice job.You need to make just one thread for all your bootamimations and lockscreen mods, etc. Instead of a thread for each one.

Thanks big, that makes sense, I think I'll just do that now. Should I delete my other posts so I'm not spamming the thread?

[App][Updated] Top Player 0.5- not just another player...

Do you like listening to music while you navigate?
Have you ever wanted to skip songs while composing Email or SMS?
Do you hate returning to home screen and then to the music player just to switch songs?
Do you like multitasking?
If you answered YES on one or more of those questions, this app is for YOU
Top player is a music player that stays on TOP
instructions:
use the + button to expand player
and the - button to minimize to top
full version has 3 player panel sizes and Show\Hide button, just in case you want it to disappear for a moment.
it is still in development but works well.
try it for free!
seems interesting, good job!
requirements? knows bugs? thanks!
you know, the usual...
.net cf 3.5 and winmo 5 and above.
tested on vga and wvga ppc
Very interesting, I'm going to give it a try!
Doesn't appear to work with HTC Sense, the window disappears when interacting with the Sense UI.
Great app! I encourage further development. I would like to see it skinable (changing the buttons, background, font and font color), without the "Small" / "Large" text, and a Play|Pause button (when "small") but overall really nice little app
...(for some reason my post appeared multiplied times, sorry 'bout that)
... (yet again)
Mortplayer already has the ability to use the Navibar which stays on top of other apps. Although the feature probably isn't as good as this player.
... (and the last one; sorry again)
Brilliant idea!
Thanks a lot!
Nice app, but it doesnt work for me. On the one Hand i have wma, but it seems that this format isn't suported, isnt it?
On the other hand, the player doesnt stay on the top in any program or in manila. Maybe it is incompatible with my Rom? --> Goatrip 4.5 which include wm 6.5.x . Could that be?
But if this will work this app is definetly that want i searched for a long time and i want to buy it
Do you think you can fix the issues and add WMA support?
THX a lot !
THX. great work
But dos'nt work with Htc sense...
yep, I filtered only mp3 files. will add soon support for wma
as said, it is still in development...
I am very happy to see you here in the forum yossio!
Continue with your work already started pretty well.
I have some considerations about TopPlayer:
* Support for other audio formats, as it has said.
* Different skins
* Finger friendly hide/show button
Basically these are the main things that I miss. But it was the best one dollar that I have ever spent!
Thanks man
pretty nice idea...
Keep it up!
hey i was trying to pay for the full version but it wont seem to load thru to the payloadz site. let me know if i can just pay you via paypal. thanks man! i`m lovin` the top player when i am texting or reading emails. very handy
Wow, looks promising!
Will streeming music be possible like shoutcast (pls) or asx?
/FluKe
Can we have a shuffle button please?
Some kind of skinning support would be great, but the real killer would be for it to hide and only pop to the top on a track change, for say 5 seconds, so I can skip it. That way i get full screen for my apps (particularly sat nav), and can then bin the tracks when I wish.
Great app with loads of potential, keep up the good work.
why not just send prev/next API calls to other existing (and great!) players ?

[Q] Custom Boot Animations

I am sorry if this is a noobish question or there is an easy answer, but I was looking at customizing my phone a bit and I saw the part about making your own splash screens (which is awesome), but I was wondering how to make custom boot animations - what tools I would need, type of files, etc. I thought there would have been a thread somewhere in the Themes & Apps section but I could not find it, and doing Google search leads me to just people posting their own custom animations.
Is there a thread someone can direct me to that has this sort of information? Any help would be appreciated - thanks!
Bump - does anybody know? Also, the boot noise for the BAMF Sense 3.0 RC3 does not work, another reason why I want a new one, ha.
Have you opened one of the bootanimation.zips? What file types are in there?
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk
A PNG image and a series of JPG images that make the animation, but I was wondering if there was a program that took an animation to make it into a series of JPGs, or if there were certain requirements/specifics in terms of how to make a boot animation.
+1 on this whole post, I attemted last night to make my first animation, and if it is just the tedious task of re-saving the same picture over and over again with just minor changes on each one to create the animation, than ok, so be it.
It just seems that with some of the very cool animations there are, for example the boot animation to the new BAMF 3.0 has moving clouds in the background, that seems like it would be pretty hard to do manually moving the clouds a little bit for each frame.
It would seem pretty obvious to anyone that extracted the bootanimation.zip how the animation works, just more speaking on the creation of each of those frames.
Would be nice if someone with experience with this chimed on and offered some help.
Thank's in advance.
Does seem pretty tedious manually moving and saving them as you said but I'm guessing that's what they do.
Probably wouldn't take that long if you had everything on layers in photoshop and you could just move layers themselves.
Alternatively, if you already have a video, I'm sure there's a way to convert that to a series of png's as well.
Ok I'm on the phone so giving a tutorial is out of the question. All you really need is patience and a goal.
First download Gimp for editing. Forget PhotoShop all together unless your rich.
Download the following scripts or plugins.
Background overlay
Save all layers
GAP (video editor for Gimp)
Google the hell out of what you want. Chances are someone allready has done what you want.
Read, read, read (time to not be lazy, what ever your doing you can find some direction at least with some good internet research)
Google "editing Android boot animations".
Create images (JPG or PNG) in the same aspect ratio of 480x800.
JPG images will be significantly smaller in file size
PNG images will have a much better quality

Use GAP to convert an existing video to images frame for frame.
Very useful if you find a good video.
Sent from my thunderstick
I actually do have Photoshop, do you know how I can use that instead of Gimp/GAP? Also, I am sort of confused at how you take an existing video and turn it into something you can use as a boot animation... I found this link (http://www.machackpc.com/how-to-changecreate-your-boot-animation-for-droid/) but I am sort of confused by it and wish I could find someplace with simpler instructions.
I just use others. I used the Call of Android animation and the mw2 style on my incredible, and I just edited the files to use the same ones on my thunderbolt.
Message delivered via my BAMF Thunderbolt
Ok, did a little research last night and today and tried a bunch of different programs for converting animations to a series of .png files and finally settled on one. I tried some free one's some trials and this is probably the best one I found so far.
Xilisoft Ultimate video converter. I was able to load an .avi, (or many other supported formats.) Program made it very easy using the "clip" feature to select out a section of the video I wanted, then converted that "clip" to a series of .png files. I was able to easily select the length of times between the extracted images "less time will obviously give you a smoother animation but require more pictures", also I could manually input the size of the outputted files (to match our phone's resolution).
I have only played with it a little bit but so far seems to be pretty good.
Also I have one other program I have been playing with to help with this. Jasc animation studio, which works with paint shop pro, has a pretty cool feature, which lets you copy into the clipboard all of your extracted image .png's, then "paste" them into animation studio as a new animation, you can then watch them from there, or load any indivual frame into paint shop pro. You can also save the clips as an animated gif. Very easy to make changes to individual frames and see the result's without having to flash to your phone.
Hope this helps.
Wow! Awesome, thanks, this is perfect and in great detail - what about sound? If the video has sound, will I try hope it gets synced with the series of .png images? And what else would I need for the bootanimation.zip folder? Will I need a .txt like when I change the splash screens?

[Theme] BNB For Eclipse 0.4

To begin... make a backup 1st.... not responsible for damages while left in the parking garage.. enjoy the game!
This theme was made with permission of "thebowers". It's his creation. I brought it into GB land for the X2. I don't know if I did everything he did but I can tell you that I have made image edits galore for resizing purposes and to get all the new GB images not yet themed. I have also edited the crap out of a lot of xml's so things should work 100% smoothly out of the box. I have also incorporated some inverted apps which, I had nothing to do with. Credit there goes to thebowers, ecsnead and B-Boy. I themed the Phone and I started on the other 2 but, then, I saw someone else already did pretty much the same thing. So, I just used that. No need to waste time. That would be bouchigo. You can find him on rootzwiki. I also made a few apps myself because once I got going on 0.2.2, I got carried away.
Also, I changed the boot animation. It matches the theme oh so well. Credit there goes to Versatile1 because he made it.
Before we begin, I will list all the apps I have included. For ease of use, I highly recommend getting rid of any app on the list from your phones data folder first. For example, if you downloaded Facebook from the market, remove it from your data folder. Not saying you HAVE TO, just putting it out there if you run into issues, you know how to fix them.
Also for the market... this one you do HAVE to do... First, verify that you DO NOT have a vending app in \data\app!!!!! If you do this will not install!!! You will need to uninstall updates before flashing... Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>"ALL" tab>Market>Uninstall Updates
Will it break your phone if you don't do that? No, it just won't install a market... at all!
Lastly, I have taken the time to guide every .9.png file in the framework and in every app I touched. What this means to you.... If you want to make other changes, everything will decompile and recompile without error. Of course you need to add the dependencies if your editing systemui or settings but thats a blur thing. Not something I did.
Now.. onto the part anyone actually cares about..
The theme is located here.... No.. over there ----> ok its actually back there <------
If you see any issues or think of anything else to add let me know.
Here's whats included
framework
SystemUI
Calculator
Camera
Contacts
Dialer
Phone
Facebook (Inverted)
Gallery3D
Gmail (Inverted)
Google Quick Search (Inverted)
Keyboard (updated from 2.2 to be darker)
Settings (Inverted)
GTalk (Inverted)
Market (Inverted)
Google Voice (Inverted)
Some of these apps will be called dark or black in the app drawer. Example: Facebook = Dark Facebook

haha.. posted this in 3 forums... glad someone finally got it!
Yeah its exactly the thing I did in math class...every year...
Anyways, what are the chances we could just install the apps individually? I'm really only interested in the blacked out gmail.

just open up the theme in 7zip and delete what you dont want.
No stone unturned... we had to do some smali edits on gmail to get it to work. looks good though. now i realize that is the screenshot that is missing.
I just extracted the apk and used root explorer to push it into system/app. Changed permissions, rebooted, and voila!

As long as it works and you like it, I dont care how you got it on your phone...lol
Good stuff man. I noticed a few small things that I thought I would share, nothing deal breaking or anything like that.
1.) I noticed when you're in the middle of unlocking the phone theres like a slight white bar in the unlock tab, this doesn't occur when you switch between silent and audible mode.
2.) When you're in a call and say if you're on speaker and drag down the notifications the call information is pretty hard to see maybe a lighter shade of black?
3.) Some of the press colors are still orange/blue.
4.) When downloading from a browser the status bar is blue opposed to red and you can't read what you're downloading (b on b issue).
Still one slick theme regardless! Thanks!
Very nice work xkape. Appreciate the quick turnaround for 0.4.
I noticed there is something unthemed in the blacked out gmail. When in your inbox an you check an email and click on the "labels" button that interface is not blacked out, it is black type on a white bg. When you scroll on this screen the entire screen blacks out and you cannot read your labels. Not a deal breaker by any means but I am just throwing it out there.
Sounds like the colorchachehint is ok (thats what makes it black when you scroll) but the bg and text need to be switched. I'll take a look at that.

1) Should be an easy fix
2) Just saw that. I tested to see if it was in frame or phone and im pretty sure I just missed it in the framework. I'll find it.
3) Theres just so many of the damn things. Hard to get em all.
4) Never used the stock browser before. I use Dolphin HD. So, this one probably won't get fixed.
I'm adding one... in the phone when you are looking at a specific number in recent. if you click on it for "call details" that screen needs fixed. I think Im also going to darken the text of the unselected tabs. I thought the grey I chose was darker than that.
And by the way.. thank you both for pointing those out to me. I can't fix the theme and make it better if I don't know it needs to be.
I use boat browser mini.
I did some investigationg into the ongoing black on black issue in the status bar. Each app sets that seperately. The only way to fix that would be to either a) make the whole things white again with black text or b) edit each app that points at a black color instead of a white one for text. I will edit it for phone app and for dolphin.
Nice theme, I haven't found anything I don't like. The boot animation is sweet too.
I've never been a fan of just black and white themes, but this looks very tasteful. I'll give this a shot after flashing Eclipse .4 later!
triton, I never was either. In fact, I had never even used BNB. But, I came to feel that colorized themes just didnt work for me anymore. So I decided Id use BNB and edit up to the X2.
Although, I must admit, I am a sucker for those neon themes in Blue or Red.

Eh, the neon themes are ok, but I'm picky about what themes I have on my device. This one you made looks great though!
neon image i just made right quick.
I was thinking this could take the place of the buttons.. for example.
thanks triton!
I've got a list from peoples feedback of a few imperfections here and there. I'll be fixing those real soon as well.
I ran into an issue with the app shortcuts on my home screen not moving to delete. They were frozen. I could add them to the homepage but couldn't delete. I flashed eclipse.4 and everything is working correctly now. I did install that speedy zip yesterday. Not sure if that was the issue or not. Would that be launcher issue or something in the theme zip?

Need Help making a tiny wings port with app inventor , devs help please demo included

Hi I have been working with app inventor and Iam trying to make a tiny wings port with this tool.
What I have accomplished so far
1) I have the tiny wings charactor heading downward angeled left when screen starts
2) When the tiny wings charactor lands on the ground , he bounces upward at angle
3) When you press the screen the tiny wings charactor will make a quick dive down.
4) I have a score thats triggered when the bird collides with the ground
5) Reset button to reposition the tiny wings bird.
Need immediate help with
1) Making the screen scroll to the right
2) Making platforms appear as screen goes to the right
3) Who to contact so I can make a larger file size game, so that I can add the music
4) If there is anyone who can make music and sound files smaller and compressed, can I get your email address ?
Need future help with
1) Restart and reset game
2) Change animations
Goal
To show how you can make great games with app inventor by making a tiny wings type clone game. I want app inventor to be put on the map and to further promote app inventor. Anyone who helps with the project will recieve credit and project will be promoted on twitter and facebook when its done. I made an apk so you can test it out the progress so far on your device. I will update the apk as I add more to it.
I havent progressed to far so you can try the alpha version here .
Are there any developers who are experianced with app inventor or just really good coders I could use your help. I just need a couple of things to make this project complete and will give credit to those who help me. Thanks for your time!

Ok I thought the development forum was for any developer related subject. Now I know to post all questions here for the future.
Hi, im taking a look at the game you have sofar, now im not a pro dev but been dabbling in the arts of app inventor for a few months now, the problem is making games do what you want them to, even when your logic seems fair its not always easy to figure out what the issues are,
ill try figure out how to import the apk to app inventor, i dont think you can produce the sorce code from app inventor, however if it looks easy enough to fix i may need a map of your block editor and which components are used!
you can do this by taking a screen shot of your project open onscreen, i can quickly replicate this on my app inventor.
ill let you know what i think once i test this!
thanks
puggz
Edit:
Tested the apk, ike the little bouncy sound, reminds me of angry birds lol
I think the main problem your going to have is making the screen move when the target passes the screen value, quick and dirty ways to do it woud be having multiple screen arangments 12345etc when the target reaches a point on the screen arangment have it switch screen, how to do thes yet is only my basic theory's would need to mess around with the layout for this, another theory could be using thr clock timer to set screen changes, would mean calculating the time needed to pass to next screen, i think this might be a complex task..
another way would be to use an animation to move the screen a sprite function of sorts could work adding landing blocks as sprites to move with screen would need to be done too,
The problem with this its fine for a few sprites but get too complex and it will lag the app to hell,
Since there is no hardware acceleration involved, the trouble with the screen just now is it fills out to the parent, ie the devices set resolution, you could make the resolution wider and enable scrolling, this would in effect mean you could scroll left and right, up and down to the screens set resolution, it wouldent be an automatic procedure, but alot of finger swipeage.
for a basic game i think this might do the trick, just depends really on what you wish it to do really
i have ripped the main elements from the apk, all i would need is screen shots of the block editor and components used in app inventor, and settings used, or a screen shot of this too would be helpfull,
i can mess around with this idea if you like, i cant promise anything amazing but i should beable to atleast work out what needs to be done and if its possible to do in app inventor, certainly in a real sdk its possible
Ill play around with what i have for now, and workout how to implement a moving screen canvas
i think this is the easy part, getting the fixed landing blocks to be in sync may be the issue, anyways
no harm in trying huh!
thanks
thanks for trying and keep going bro you are making our dreams come true:angel:

being a fellow Whovian... here a couple of things to get ya started... LWP of the T.A.R.D.I.S. tumbling through the vortex, and boot ani's for Doctors 4, 10, and 11. if you scroll down towards the bottom of the first page of the Boot Ani thread you'll find a .zip with the theme music and the T.A.R.D.I.S. engine .mp3
EDIT: for the boot ani to be fullscreen you will need to change the resolution within the .zip
thanks

Thanks for the reply. sorry took me so long been having back issues.
the LWP is really cool, thanks for that, as for the boot ani's, had already seen them, cant seem to get sound to work and no matter how i change the resolution or actuall image size still plays as a small 1"x1" on my screen and freezes. Ill keep looking or try to see if i can actually create one myself
Hope you recover soon bro its one of the worst fractures one has to deal with (can't lie down, sit up or stand comfortably).
