I saw a great deal on ebay of Galaxy S III phone with bad esn. Just wanted to know is it possible to buy a verizon locked bad esn phone and then unlock using code from internet and then use in it GSM networks of India?
Just curious to know can bad esn locked phones be unlocked in 1st case?

I'm about to buy a galaxy s2 with cdma bands from china, will I be able to use it back in the states on verizon?
it looks like it's from korea, anyone have any experience?
I don't think cdma is switchable.

How so? The bands are the same from what I can tell, it isn't the same as telling big v to change my phone? Do I need to root it for unlock or something?
Search up verizon phone on sprint. Youll find your answers there.

Does an AT&T S3 with bad ESN work with an AT&T based Straight Talk SIM?
I know it works in ST with Tmobile based SIM, question is specifically about AT&T S3 with bad ESN working on ST AT&T . The reason I am asking is that I am on ST and want to get an S3 phone but with most turning bad ESN after being sold on CL I am wondering if I could use it on ST even if the previous owner calls it stolen.
OR can I go to ATT store with the seller and put the phone under my name even though I don't have an AT&T account so the previous owner can't call and claim it stolen?
My dad bought a Metro PCS Samsung Galaxy S3 from craigslist and it has a bad ESN. Is there any way to get this phone hooked back up on Metro PCS? I've read you can use CDMA workshop to change ESNs, but not sure if you could do it because the S3 uses a sim card which i dont have. Any info would be appreciated. If this is in the wrong forum, can you direct where i should post...thanks

Hate to say it but your pretty much SOL. changing the IMEI is illegal. Some CDMA devices use sim cards for LTE.
Good day folks,
I have purchased a 900p from a friend in USA for a good deal, the problem is that the phone has a bad ESN and was for sprint, I was wondering if i take this phone to Vietnam will it with with any regular sim card? I'm not expecting any thing fancy like 4g or LTE in VN but I just want to know if this phone will work in VN, I've read from multiple sources that the 900p is internationally unlocked but is locked for domestic US sims, can any one verify if that is true? also aware I might not be able to do a SPRINT SIM unlock because of the BAD ESN. Any one have any suggestions?

It won't work in VN unless you ask sprint to unlock the international sim lock. But they won't help you because yours is a bad ESN one.
Just waiting for heros to work out how to unlock without sprint's help.
Do you guys know if Tmobile's galaxy s5 with bad IMEI will work with AT&T network?
I heard that AT&T and tmobile share the same black list for IMEI's
But I've also heard people being able to use bad imei phones on different network.

I can tell you it wont work on ATT, I just got my TMO back from a buyer that states that after using it for over a month the device got reported
stolen" (I honestly thing he scammed me) and I tried my ATT sim on it and I cant get it to work. once its Blacklisted you cant use it on the US only overseas.
