POP3 Outgoing smtp server - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi people,
Is there a way to set up multiple outgoing smpt servers so for example,
if i connect to a wifi i can send the emails via wifi and if i use the 3G i can send it through there etc?
Its a pain at the moment as i can send emails through 3g network but not through wifi.
Thanks:good:

no there isn't.
but the problem seems to come from the wifi network you're in.
have you tried with other wifi networks ?

T-Mobile (UK)

When using any of these ROM, it doesn't seem to allow me to syncronise my emails with my exchange.
Has anyone experienced any problems?
I had the same problem you need to disable the proxy for the T-Mobile connection
I have disabled the Proxy, and i can receive emails but now neither internet explorer or opera connects to the internet.
Any ideas?

[LOOKING FOR] App for p2p (file sharing) via GPRS w/o internet...any help?

Hello fellows...
I'm just looking for an app to send files (something like p2p) between TWO android devices using a restricted GPRS service, I mean, no internet access....
I mean, send file to one IP to another one....
Just for send files, text, chat...or something like that....
any idea?
thanks in advance
BR,

No ideas? no help please?
thanks
Well if your phones have no internet connection then they need to connect to each other somehow. Wifi can be used if you have a network you can connect to, otherwise bluetooth might help.
No, no one phone have internet connection, just a GPRS service for MMS sending and for open only ONE PAGE or WEBSITE to check them (mms).
Phone have a very distant from each to another one, but connects in the same GRPS network, same carrier / provider and same range of IPs...do you understand?
any idea? any help?
thanks

it's not really possible. my best guess would be to hijack MMS and send a file that way, but then if the file were over the MMS size limit, you'd end up having to send multiple MMSs, racking up your texting charges. it would be very slow, and unless you've got an unlimited texting plan, potentially very expensive.
by the way, p2p (in the bittorrent/emule sense) doesn't play into this, it would be completely impossible.
No new ideas about all this? I need this ASAP, any App?
thanks

WI-FI connection

Anyone knows the settings for using WI-FI for downloads at home instead of the cell network?
you simply turn on Wifi, and give it your network password so it can connect, and as long as it is connected to WiFi it should not use the cellular network other than to notify you of texts or incoming calls

MMS over WiFi Calling?

Does MMS work over Wifi Calling? I ask because you can't send MMS over EDGE.

I work in an underground office with no signal, but I have WiFi. T-Mobiles WiFi calling has always allowed me to send and receive MMS and SMS. Note that some corporate wifi setups may include special protocols like LEAP that may or may not allow a solid fully functional WiFi connection...basically it has always worked for me. :good:

Not connecting to Network Operators?

Alright, so here's the problem:
I've had my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge for around 4months now, having no problems with it what-so-ever.
The other day (Tuesday) having waking up, my mobile wasn't able to send or receive phone calls or SMS messages, but it was still connected to my providers internet.
I can still browse the web using my provider, giffgaff, under 4G internet but when I try to send a text or phone anyone it says: "Not registered on Network".
I've contacted my network provider and they are adamant it's nothing to do with my network, also tried my sim in another phone and it works.
Now, I checked my IMEI and it was unblocked.
Tried rooting, factory resetting my phone and putting different roms on, nothing seems to be working. My internet still works on my phone, just my network is unable to connect.
When I manually search for network I find: Vodaphone, O2, EE, 3 Network. Having tried to load it up on O2 (Giffgaff uses O2 and my network provider asked me to do so) it says it's unable to connect.
I'm just wondering, is there anyway to resolve this?
Also, my signal bar is full, and the local reception for my Network is "excellent".
Hello, i've been having the same problem and couldn't resolve this with my network provider aswell i can get connected to the network but soon as it registers to 3g it kicks me of my network operator the only temp fix i could find was go to settings, mobile networks, network mode, gsm only, then register to network to receive and send calls and texts, i've tryed everything and it's the only thing i can suggest as a temp fix .:good:
