JB 4.2 Galaxy S I500 - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys,
First post on the forms hear. Do you guys think the Samsung Galaxy S I500 will be able to run JB 4.2? I have my phone running 4.1.2 now and it runs fine. The phone has some decent specs for the time but it lacks RAM. Is there going to be any major changes to 4.2?
Thanks in advance
Matt

[Q] Samsung galaxy s wifi 5.0 yp-g70 is it more like the s2 or s1?

I've just gotten hold of one of these to use in the car as a media/sat nav gadget !
I was wondering if any techies might know if it was closer to an S1 or S2?
It has only come with android 2.2 but so far it seems pretty much as quick as my s2 but it would be good to get a newer rom on it
Any S2 devs going to get one? Hint hint!
Anyone? There doesn't seem to be much info on this android device at all yet its a pretty sweet mini tablet/media player!
It's basically samsungs answer to the ipod touch
Closer to the Galaxy S I since it has the same 1ghz processor. http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=pdamaster&posted=1&cpu=a10010

[Q] Galaxy Tab or Hp Touchpad

Hey I need a little insight you those of you who have knowledge on the Galaxy tab 10.1 or 8.9 wifi or HP touchpad ICS ROM. I've been doing some reading and from the looks of it, it seems there are many more problems with the ICS ROM's for the Galaxy Tab than the HP touchpad. I have a touchpad w/ ICS and it's Awesome, no real issues other than the camera but that's minor.I wanna get the Galaxy Tab because it's different and I believe the hardware is better, but I'm a bit discouraged because all the issues I've read with the current ICS ROM's.
What do you guys think? Touchpad or Galaxy Tab 10.1 or 8.9?

What issues are you talking about? I've not got ICS on my Galaxy Tab but from what I've read there's only the camera not working, which seems to be a universal issue for knife-and-forked ROMs. I'm actually considering flashing it this afternoon, even though I'm VERY happy with it running the latest stock HC.

I've read some people having wifi, rotation, and calendar syncing issues amongst other things with their G-Tab. Just search the Cyanogen 9 ICS thread and you'll see for yourself. To me it doesn't seem as polished as CM9 for the Touchpad. If you decide to give it a try let me know how it goes.
i thinks galaxy tab is a best choose!android more and good apps

New GS2 JB update to have TouchWiz 5?

Hi guys. Sorry if this has been answered before. I searched with no results.
Im curious to know if the new Jelly Bean update for our Samsung Galaxy S2 will have the latest TouchWiz 5 Interface in it. For those who are not familiar with this Touchwiz 5 word, well, to make it more simple to you, will the new Jelly Bean update for the S2 have the interface like the one is Samsung Galaxy S3.
Ive seen a lot of the new low/mid-end phones made by Samsung are being made with TouchWiz 5, so I thought this has not to do with hardware as it has to do with software, so Im sure our S2 is good enough to handle TouchWiz 5.
If someone of you have any information, i'd be happy to know.
Thanks.

[Q] 4.2 Rom with TouchWiz?

Hi all
Was just curious, is the Tab 10.1 capable of running an Android 4.2 rom with TouchWiz and features such as multi-window from the Note 10.1? Is someone busy developing a similar one? I'm running ICS The Beginning rom by Task650.... And it's great.... I'm sure if he developed 4.2 with TW it would be even more awesome....

I wouldn't hold my breath for this. Samsung has to get around to rolling out TouchWiz on JB. This isn't likely, given their track record of rolling out ICS for the 10.1 months after its initial release. The features you are looking for from the Note 10.1 are also unlikely to make their way into the Tab 2 10.1, let alone the Tab version 1 10.1.
This is an excellent little tablet, particularly with the tweaks and custom rome available on this forum, it's just not Samsung's premiere product offering anymore.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy SII or Motorola Atrix 4G? Should I trade?

Hello guys,
I have a Motorola Atrix 4G but recently I got an offer to get a Samsung Galaxy SII from a friend. In exchange, he wants my Atrix, because he needs the fingerprint reader.
Atrix does have JB, but since Motorola doesn't release source code (and canceled the update), we don't have HW and some stuffs. So I really want to trade my Atrix for his SII, but I have a few questions first:
1. Does SII have fully working Jelly Bean (I prefer CM10), with Project Butter working?
2. Does the camera work fine with Jelly Bean?
3. How is the game performance? Do new games runs fine on it?
4. Can I root it using Ubuntu? I really don't want to install Windows on my laptop just to root it.
Thanks in advance and sorry for my english guys
