Noob Help! S3 will not reboot after flashing Official firmware - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone! Would really appreciate your help... I updated my s3 to JB via OTA last month, had issues with slow charging so i decided to flash back to official ICS firmware, specific to my device (Philippines Globe - I9300XXBLHI August build from samfirmware) earlier this week. Did the prescribed process, set my s3 on download mode, used odin v3.07, flashed in PDA. Result at odin was Pass! But my s3 did not reboot. It got stuck in download mode (where it says downloading.. Download bar now is full but it did not auto reset even if the tick box in odin for auto reboot is checked). Tried searching xda, this forum, for a solution, but i couldn't find any.. Can anyone help me? This is as far as my android trouble shooting will go.. Really appreciate your help.. Thank you in advance..

First boot to recovery and factory reset .
Second flash a stock firmware .
jje

thought of that..Tried booting the phone to recovery mode (power + vol up + home) it doesnt work..it goes into a white noise screen, it only boots to download mode..

Any other suggestions? Or alternatives to access recovery mode so i can do a wipe?

go to download mode and flash a firmware

Thats what ive been trying to do..

how about flashing another jelly bean firmware
and then back to ICS
usually factory reset solved that kinda problem

After you download the official firmware reboot into recovery and wipe data that should solve your problem

Download it here "do wnlo ad.chainfire.e u/196/CF-Root/SGS3/CF-Root-SGS3-v6.4.zip" (Delete spaces) (Credits to Chainfire) and flash the .tar file with Odin 3.07 at PDA section.
Regards :good:

Ok, done! It rebooted and i got this message after "firmware update encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again" with the phone to yellow triangle to pc icon. So i go to kies? Or try recovery mode first?

Tried flashing official ICS for my device via odin after I flashed CF root, the phone reboots but it boots to the "firmware upgrade encountered an issue screen..Tried flashing official JB, same outcome..
Tried accessing recovery mode, volume up+power+home, still same message..I can access download mode though..
Am I getting somewhere? progress??

Ok, just follow this steps
1. Enter in Dowload Mode (vol down+power+home)
2. Flash CF-Root 6.4
3. Boot in recovery (volume up+power+home) and select "wipe data/factory reset", then "wipe cache" and finally in "advanced" select "Wipe Dalvik Cache"
4. Enter in Dowload Mode (vol down+power+home)
5. Flash any (Sammy ICS/JB) rom by Odin 3.07 (PDA section)
5. Once it finishes, turn on your SIII and enjoy the rom :good:

did you try flash CF-root 6,4 using Odin?

Use THIS for flashing, with PIT, bootloader etc - follow the screenshots, and use Odin shown there.
Good luck.

[HELP!] my phone won't boot and stuck at splash screen

i'm using the GingerMod v6 with Siyah kernel 2.1
i've downloaded SansumgApps&Hub via the OTA app and apply it
my phone rebooted and showing splash screen (Samsung I9100 logo with the yellow triangle) then it didn't go to the recovery mode
so i removed the battery and try to get into the recovery mode manually pressing vol up+home+power button
it still stuck at the splash screen again
but i can get into the download mode (vol down+home+power)
i'm in a lot of trouble how could you help me fix this?
thanks
Use Odin and flash firmware from Intratech's firmware thread with phone in download mode. Re-root with Chainfire CF-Root kernel. This will install CWM Recovery and root.
For future:
Just make sure you factory reset, format cache and dalvik in CWM Recovery IMMEDIATELY before flashing new ROM from recovery. If flashing themes, make sure cache and dalvik are wiped immediately prior to flash.

[Q] my phone cant open help ! :(

hello, i cant open my phone, after i press the power button and the boot opens, after that it just goes black, i used a custom rom, then i went to settings and wipe factory with the USB storage ( thinking that it would just clean my USB storage 11.5GB not at recovry, its in phone> settings) after rebooting it just went to boot logo with the yellow triangle, then it goes black, please help me ((
Just to make sure that I understand what you did, you selected the "wipe data/factory reset" option?
Also, can you go into recovery mode again?

yes i wipe data / factory reset and also pressed the USB storage to clean up , i did this at the phone settings, not on recovery mode.. please help, i cant go even at recovery mode
See if you can go in the download mode. If so, find your stock firmware here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1457458 and flash it through Odin. It will all be explained in the thread anyway.
I'm pretty sure this is the only thing you can do since you can't get into recovery mode nor boot the phone.

Wipe system

People, such a question can you do a wipe of the system through a different firmware (not through cooperve_0623.pit)
For example through the main firmware file.
It's generally really do or not.
I would at least make a wipe, where this glitch to boot screen.
I still can not overcome his mistake logo jpj draw failed
cooperve_0623.pit does not work, go into Recovery Mode and I can not.
Telephone current regime comes into Odin and all, no longer wants to.
Enter recovery mod flas temp cwm clear data, cache and dalvik cache. Enter mounts and storage. Format data, cache, system and if exists ext2 partition. Dont format sdcard. Reboot and enter odin mode. Dont try to open phone normally. Enter odin mode and flash stock firmware. It should be a full wipe and clean flash this way.

For rooting your NK1, just follow the direction in the OP.\
---
1. Take the NK1 OTA update.
2. Download and install Towelroot-v3.apk(this version does not require internet access).
3. Place your phone into "Download Mode" (press and hold the Home, Volume Down, and Power keys until the phone powers on and displays warning screen, then press Volume Up key) and Flash the I545_NC5_Stock_Kernel using Odin's PDA slot(AP in Odin v3.09+).
4. Open Towelroot from your app drawer and press "Make it Rain" to root your device.
5. Power off then boot into "Download Mode" again and flash the I545_NK1_Stock_Kernel also using Odin's PDA slot(AP in Odin v3.09+).
6. Download SuperSU to manage root access. Done!

Hardbricked my S2. HELP!!!

Here is my case.
Was on 4.4.4 SlimSaber with TWRP recovery..
So, i intended to change back to stock rom. Downloaded the stock firmware from sammobile
After that, I used ODIN 3.10 to flash the stock firmware. Everything goes smoothly. But, after the process completed, I have bootloop in the Samsung logo.
Tried removing the battery and replaced it.. still the same.
Now I cant enter the Download and Recovery mode. My PC still detects my device, ODIN still show blue sign when I plugged it in
Any advice for me to recover it?

Wipe data and cache partition in recovery. Turn off the phone and hold 3 buttons at the same time (volume up+home+power). Then wipe data and cache.
