Is anyone working on porting Photo Sphere feature working any of the existing ICS roms for MDPI 2011 Xperia phones? I really want to try it out.

Are you talking about this one? I think it only captures sideways and doesn't include the top + bottom parts though?

yes this is the one and it does capture a full 360 sphere just as in photosphere....
i am using this and its very good...

Looking at the reviews, it seems most people are not satisfied by it and claim tat it crashes a lot. Do you know of any other apps like this? And also what phone are you using to which this app seems to function correctly?

Yep, it requires gyro. AFAIK you only have accelerometer, so it will not work.

check the sensation forums.. its there.. they used it to import it into the sensation
could this be ported to other phones ie Vision/Desire or anything in that screen frame (800x400)?

yeah with some tweaking it can.

i've just installed the 4.2 camera on my smutron (st15i), edited the build.prop, the cam is working fine, but in the 'Photosphere’ camera mode to align the 2nd picture is take too slow (almost 1.2 minute), so it is useless
anyone idea ? thx

I tried it on my ST15i, everything seems to work fine, no lag.
I downloaded ZIP file from the post you gave, i DIDN'T flashed it, i extracted it and put the files to the proper location, DIDN'T overwrite anything, and just set the correct permissions(RW-R--R--)

It doesn't work because it's not the stock camera app.
Why would you want to zoom anyways? You can crop your picture once you take it.
EDIT: You can pinch-zoom!

what to edit in build.prop? I use CM10 SK17i,
when I started the camera app, it gives me gray screen, only controls..
but I can take pictures, and the pictures are normal (not gray), help please?

the built.prop edititng is needed for the photosphere funcion (does not work for my smultron)
i think u have check other problems

Not really.It could work on CM9.
I was able to use the 4.2 camera with a normal preview function on my XMP with FXP-CM9.
As for Photosphere,however,it couldn't function well.I think that's because of its lack of Gyroscope.

Which custom ROM 4.xx has camera working? Or is this still a WIP? I have browsed thru, but some thread have like 13 pages to go thru..

Yes I did. I got camera working by using an app called Snapchat. I'm wondering if there are alternatives to using that app, and wondering if anyone has camera working just using the stock app.

i can save pics with the ffc
i cant save with the back cam unless i use panorama mode. then it works fine

yes buddy front facing and back camera works very well with PacMan ROM, haven't tried other ICS Roms though. I upgraded through Gingerbread. ALthought Recorder seems to crash(I might try out another app for that. )
Please correct me if i'm wrong but i think that with PAC-MAN ROM (4.2.2) frontal camera works but rear camera can't take photos, only can preview images. In CM 10.1 it will occur the same cause PAC is based in it. Am I wrong?
PD: Sorry for my english, I'm from Catalonia.
Hi Guys... Here I brought to you this Tweak... It's my first work...
I edited the media_profiles.xml file to make the support for HD reccording... with 30 M/s bitrate...
Just open the rar and copy media_profiles.xml to system/ets by RootExplorer and fix Permissions and Reboot...
...
Give It a try..It's Working great for me... and very smoooooooooooooooth and HD.... :laugh:

Yes... But I'm not using that gallery at all... I'm using LgCamera, adn QuickPic...
LgCamera gives u the best quality ever...

I know that cm10.2 gallery is good... but I just don't like it anymore... now I use... UCam, LgCamera, or ProCapture...

I tried to fix it.. but I have a problem with maine to.....
when I Open the camera.. it FCs...
I flashed again my rom.. but it doesn't work... I had this problem before I use this media_profiles.xml....
I face it only with the Gallery2.apk... and other based GoogleGallery apps....
I'm confused... is it the problem of my XT910's Camera or he just don't like Gallery2.apk anymore ..
I'm starting android 4.3. need to get rid of that gallery.

Can any one create a solution to enable full 20mp support for the front camera in 3rd party camera apps like gcam?
Some developers had made this possible in oneplus devices (like supoort for full 16mp res in front camera).
