hi friends... i've changed my rom from gingerbread to jellybean... all the users apps+data were easy to backup using titanium backup.. contacts can be very easily backed up using the inbuilt import backup and restore... the major problem i faced was that of calendar restore as titanium backup failed here due to change in version of calendar app... Google synch, is not very reliable as i figured out myself as well as from what i found on googling about the solution...
this is the method i opted for restoring the calendar events :
1. Download an app called "MyPhoneExplorer Client" from android market.
link:https://play.google.com/store/apps/...vbS5manNvZnQubXlwaG9uZWV4cGxvcmVyLmNsaWVudCJd
2.Download the sever side application on your desktop from the given link : www.fjsoft.at
3.Enable Android debugging in your mobile and connect it to your desktop.
4.On your cell phone open the downloaded app and select usb cable as the means of connection (use can choose any bluetooth or wifi if you want).
5.From your desktop open the software you just installed.
6.The software will automatically recognize your phone or connect it using File -> Connect.
7.Then go to Extras -> Create Backup and choose what all you want to backup.
This is a very easy method.. and i hope i helped you !!!
press thanks if i helped you.....
I never set calendar events but it will help someday probably...

I have bought the TB pro app, and would like some help.
Perhaps I’m missing something obvious here, but I did the following:
- Batch -> Backup all user apps & system data
- Wiped my device (Nexus 7), flashed a new rom (both based on stock)
- Installed TB, then TB Pro.
- Batch -> Restore missing apps with data.
However, a lot of the apps I restored have restored to their ‘just installed’ state. Ie. Passwords and any ‘user’ data is missing.
Examples:
- Facebook app (doesn’t know my username and password)
- Twitter (same)
- Lastpass (same)
- Moxier Mail (forgot my account settings)
However a few apps did remember my settings / data:
- FPSe
- Sixaxis controller
- Gmail (and other Google Apps)
Any advice greatly appreciated.. Many thanks.
Ignore me. Read your post wrong

Whenever u backup apps using TB always tick the option to backup all installed apps with data.
This is the reason why ur apps didn't have any data
That's what I did.. ! Any other ideas?
WhatsApp for the Galaxy Players / S WiFis
NOTE: Guide might be outdated. Meanwhile, there are easier methods to install WhatsApp on Wi-Fi only devices.
[1]Intro
At first: Sorry for my bad English!
In this thread I'll show you, how you can get WhatsApp on your Samsung Media Player
[2]Required
- Samsung Media Player
- Rooted Firmware
- Internet Connection
- WhatsApp Apk from here: http ://www.whatsapp. com/android/ (Delete the empty lines, i can't post links)
- Dropbox-Account
[3]How-To
1. If you haven't downloaded the BlueStacks AppPlayer yet, download it from here http ://bluestacks .com (empty lines, again!)
2. After installing BlueStacks, you have to reboot your system
3. Start BlueStacks and click on the search button
4. Search for "WhatsApp" and install it from Google Play
5. After you installed WhatsApp, search for "Dropbox" and install it from Google Play, too
6. If Dropbox ist succesfully installed, search for "Titanium Backup" and install it from Google Play, too
7. Check if everything is install, when not you have to reboot your PC and try it again
8. Now start WhatsApp and set it up
9. Start TitaniumBackup and Dropbox and set them up, too
10. When you're finished, start Titanium Backup and make a backup (Data+APK) of WhatsApp
11. Close Titanium Backup and open Dropbox and upload the backup files (there are 3 files) from Titanium (Stored in" /TitaniumBackup")
12. If everything is uploaded, you can close BlueStacks
13. Unlock your Galaxy Player/ S WiFi and install TitaniumBackup (Google Play), Dropbox (Google Play) and WhatsApp (Internet)
14. If everything is installed, you have to set up Titanium and Dropbox but not WhatsApp
15. Open Dropbox and export the 3 backup files to "/sd-card/TitaniumBackup"
16. Now open Titanium and go to the tab "Backup/Restore"
17. Restore the files from WhatsApp
[18. If Titanium says: "No Backup of WhatsApp", you have to reset Titanium Backup (Settings>Applications>Installed>Titanium Backup> Clear data) and restart by step 16]
19. Open WhatsApp and Enjoy!

Thanks man I thought about doing this in a similar way, using a low-end Android and backup from there but the root on that phone stopped working after the binary update, and I can't find the stock rom to revert it lol (su.bin and su.apk are still there but with 0 bytes) so I never did it. Anyway thanks!
I Just want to add something, when you restore the backup. In case, the device asks you to install whatsapp (while restoring files), you should install but do not open it and let Titanium restore all files.
Edited my mistake

You're welcome! You can find the stock rom for your device here: http ://forum.xda-developers.com /showthread.php?t=1884071 (Delete the spaces, i can't post links yet). Thanks for the tipp with the installer, I'll update that soon.
I meant my crappy phone's (a huawei ascend y100) root is damaged not my player, my player is running smooth after some tweaks that I did. But thanks anyway . Worked perfectly on my SGP4.2
Btw it should work on whatsapp plus but you'll have do a backup from a phone and not BlueStacks (I think).

I am not able to login to "Box" to setup cloud backups via App Manager settings. I can only login to Drive or Dropbox. When I click on Box a white window pops up and then quickly goes away.
Even when selecting apps to backup I go to Backup to Cloud and select Box but the message "You must login first" appears. Again for the other two services it goes straight into the login procedure.
Why doesn't Box work for Rom Toolbox Pro App Manager Cloud Backup?
Try the age old trick
Wipe data
Uninstall the app
clear cache and reboot
Reinstall and try
tried using helium backup app on the non rotted phone by using desktop app to first connect.
on the phone it just asks for ptp mode, and when changing to that the app crashes. Helium works on a mediatek watch and nexus 4 with cm13.
anyone got it working?
ok, got helium to work on non rooted phone.
Had to use mtk droid tools, and when connected the authenticate message appeared on the phone. After ticking that the helium app worked.
So try:- Apps Backup & Restore 2016

Well I installed Helium without any success; so I wrote to Helium saying:- “I am directed to go to my PC and your Application backup Web page where it states "Windows users will also need the Android Windows Drivers." however when I go to the drivers page, there are many phones drivers but not any for the Elephone? So does this mean I cannot use Helium with my phone?
I never got anything back from them other than an automated reply. Also Playstore reviews make this App look garbage as well.
.
So I looked for an alternative and found: ‘Apps Backup & Restore 2016’ by Utility Top Apps. This for me and my non-rooted P9000 work just fine no issues at all, make B/ups on phone then copy over to PC or wherever, I have tested it by totality deleting one of my treasured Apps and this then restored the App with no issues what so ever. OK it don’t include the settings that you may have applied to you Apps, and you get a pop-up Add when backing up but its Free and don’t want Root, so this App is perfect . . . or am I missing something here?
I did get helium to work after some time, mainly for data restore. Another app for backup is mybackup to google drive.
I use titanium on the nexus, but on a new phone I will use it non rooted for a while before messing with it.
I'm trying to move away from Google stuff. I've installed /e/OS on my phone and replaced Google-dependent apps. However, I can't install the PRO key for Titanium Backup because it needs to contact the play store to work. I understand there is some sort of license text file that, when placed in the appropriate folder, will unlock the app. However, the developer seems to have gone AWOL. He won't answer emails either through the Titanium Backup website, the app or the donate page.
In desperation, I've tried some alternative backup solutions
OAndBackup - doesn't use ROOT access so it can't backup information in the DATA partition.
OAndBackupX - won't load on my phone
No other backup app that I have found uses ROOT so they will not do the trick.
I need one of the following:
a way to download the license text file (that doesn't depend on Google Play).
a backup app that will do the same job as Titanium Backup.
Instructions on how to manually backup data for a particular app (I can find or download the APK if I need to)
Thanks for your help in advance.
TB Pro Key app neither creates a license-key file nor relies on such one: this apk patches an already installed TB Free apk.
Both the TB Pro Key app and the TB Free app depend on com.android.google.vending package. what is the Googe Play Store app.
Titanium Backup Free runs fine without Google Play. However, when I install the license key, Titanium Backup tries to verify the license - but it can't because it does so through com.android.google.vending, as you mentioned. Since I don't have Google Play installed, the PRO key can't do the verification, so your reply doesn't really help unless you mean to say that the license text file needs com.android.google.vending also. In that case, scratch the first option and say if you know of an app that can do what Titanium Backup does or say where the application data is so that I can back up things manually.
Slightly Off-Topic: Recently, I found a cool way to "freeze" a system app. If you have ROOT access, you can go into /system/app/ and change the name of the target package from *.apk to *.bak and reboot - that disables the app and it won't load on reboot. If you don't have ROOT but the bootloader is unlocked, you can go into [TWRP] recovery, mount the system partition and do it that way - I got rid of the stock calendaring and tasks app that way with no adverse issues. The only caveat is that you have a replacement app loaded BEFORE you "freeze" the app - especially if you are going to freeze apps like the messaging app or the launcher!

If you'ld decompile the TB Pro Key apk - as I did - then you can notice that a license text file - what you always mention - IS NOT USED at all.

Open Titanium Backup. If you are using the free version, you will see a button at the lower right side of the screen in green that says "PRO version: $5.99" (it may be nation-sensitive and may be using your currency rather than US dollars but I doubt it). Click on the button and it asks you "Can you buy apps on the Android Market?". If you hit "NO", it brings up the following information: " To turn Titanium Backup into the Donate version branded to your name, please donate the amount you want (from USD$5.99) by PayPal and you will get your key file by e-mail. .. you can visit the donation page or use the Copy e-mail address button below and then paste it where needed. .. Upgrading gives you high speed ... "
If you close that window and go to the Titanium Backup "Menu" you will see at the top-right hand side a collapsed menu called "HELP / LICENSING". If you expand that menu and choose "Manage license" you will see the following message if you are running the free version: "You're running the free version of Titanium Backup. .. *No PRO key was detected. .. *No license file was detected. .. Supported locations for the license file are: */storage/emulated/0/TitaniumBackup_License.txt [Not found]"
The Titanium Backup license file is what I'm trying to get from the Titanium Track folks. I got back an automated message yesterday from one of my attempts to contact them. It was not encouraging.

I bought the Donate Version without Google Play (running MicroG). Did just as they said in the free app. You just need to follow the process.
After donating i got an email with the text file. Put the text file in the right folder and it was recognized. I have Titatium Backup Pro running perfectly now. No problems at all.

Did you do that recently, like in the past 3 - 6 months? Because, if you did, I'll follow suit.
Perhaps they have some sort of automation set up...
