Best method for CWM on Xperia S ?

Hello,
What"s difference between all CWM methods (install.bat, RecoverX...) ?
I got an Xperia S rooted and unlocked boot and I would like to know if is there any limitation between all methods
What is the best for my case( Xperia S rooted and unlocked boot), i will use custom rom, kernel...
Thanks,
Sorry for my bad english
If you're unlocked, just flash any kernel you like. Arakmar's advanced stock is just stock + CWM and other kernels like XSX or KA have more features. Be careful not to flash a CM9 kernel though, it won't work with Sony stock.

You can use Mesa v1.8, Panic v1.25, Rage or any ICS kenel, like it's explained in the thread of the rom. Please just read there
Because the rom is for ics, flash the ics version of the kernel, but if the rom won't boot, you have to flash the stock ics ftf first and after that flash the custom rom again

Depends on the base of your mini Rom.
Stock ics based you can use any ics based kernel like suave, lupus, etc.
For cm based you must use cm kernels.
Yes you flash kernels in fastboot mode with flashtool.
send from my mt11i with cm10 unofficially (TheDarkDefender build) on fusion kernel v5

There are two miui version in this thread.
1. v4 which ist stock sony ics .587 based
2. v2 which is cm7 based.
For v4 you can use any compatible ics based kernel.
Look at the stickys and you will find the kernels listed.
On my mind are stock sony kernel, advaced stock kernel, suave kernel, lupus kernel and nightelf (aliance) kernel.
If you are already on sony ics rom you can directly install miui rom.
If you want more kernel features than you must flash a custom kernel. To do so you have to unlock your phone bootloader.
V2 is cm7 based as already written. To try it you must unlock your bootloader and flash the provided kernel that comes with the rom.

Yupp.
V4 ist .587 based and works with stock kernel. You are limited to stock kernel features. If you want more like overclocking, etc you must unlock your bootloader and flash an custom ics kernel.
With a locked bootloader you are limited, with a unlocked bootloader you are free!!!
