I need help i cant get my s2 to charge have tried using Odin to get to stock but it does not help. When I plug it in a get a yellow triangle and a thermostat
Did you try another battery?
Use the stock charging cable and the stock charger. If u are already, try taking the battery out, putting it back in, and leaving it alone for a while.
I have been doing that but as soon as I plug it in the phone turns off

No I just turns off and if I use my other battery as soon as I plug it on it turns off
I had a problem like this not to long ago. It ended up being my charging port got some pocket lint in it. So, have you tried cleaning it?

I would try cleaning it again. Use a soft bristle toothbrush and maybe a wooden toothpick. Mine has done this at least three times and its been the port every time.

I don't think so. Would be interesting to know if you even can.
I dont think there is. However, if you take the battery out and plug the phone into the SE wall charger, it vibrates when you hold down the power button. [/POINTLESS FACT]

i think this is more of a hardware bypass and not rely a software thing.
Hi folks,
just like some of you I have some troubles when connecting my I9300 via USB.
After some attempts of solving this I have a new problem and no idea what to do.
When I plug in the USB cable I have no symbol in the notification bar at all. No switching of USB modes etc.
My phone is not listet as device in windows and so on...tried debug mode, reboots, no change...
It's charging through USB and I'm using the original cable from Samsung.
What am I doing wrong?
You should try another cable or other port 1st.

Is your phone charging?

You can always try entering *#7284* and choose PDA mode.
Whenever the charger is connected and im scrolling down settings it shakes (not the phone itself) and example holding a widget. It shakes.
Somebody else?

Holding down a widget or icon is normal for it to vibrate slightly-wish I could turn it off sometimes! Not sure about charging unless you have it set to-I think that one is actually set by haptic feedback?

Only when charging Simple: shakes when scrolling

Are you using stock charger?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app
I have the exact same problem. For me it is most obvious when trying to zoom in internet window, shakes as hell. But as you mentioned, only when charger is connected.
I am not sure but this might have started happen when receiving the last android 4.0.4 update from samsung last week.

thanks for replay , but does it work with xperia ray
A jig cable is not required on SE phones. Samsung phones can only be flashed using special cables, but SE provided a flashmode that always works, by turning off your phone and pressing the back-button before you plug in your usb-cable...

thanks for replaying i can't enter flashmode on my xperia ray it's get stuck at the logo screen and the phone isn't detected by the pc so i think i have to take it to someone have JTAG cable to fix the boot
I fixed such a situation with clearing the drivers from PC and using we sus or emma and flashed stock fw. Then I started again. There was something like restart after broken flash.
I never headed about a jig cable for we phones. I know it only for Samsung devices.
