Somehow I expected you will reply like that.
Have you even try other suggestions in that post or you just seen last part of it?
Tried different usb cable?
Tried different testpoint cable?
Tried using -ve battery pin as a ground?
Tried using usb shield as a ground?
Tried making better connection between testpoint cable and ground?
Tried making better connection between testpoint cable and testpoint?
Point is, unless your phone have malfunctioned testpoints, you are doing something wrong.
What version of s1tool are you using,does it have restore button?
If you tried all that, tell me EXACTLY procedure you are doing.

hey i am not sure.... but try this...
connect the phone to the pc using the usb cable....
then open flashtool in the plugins tab select unlock boot-loader option...
it might work.... at least worked for me
your method is only if your got no simlock. since you got simlock, try the other method. just search it :victory:

I strongly recommend not to unlock your bootloader or else you will lose your gsm capabilities forever.
I dont know about the manual method but dont try it untill you know it will work or not

Hi, today I successfully unlocked the bootloader on my xperia x8 via flashtool put on custom kernel nAa 14 and miniCM7 Yay
Everything is fine apart that I want to change network because they have much better deals etc.
I went to the 3 network shop and tried to put in the Sim, it took it in loaded but wouldnt register with the network , in fact I tried last week when I was on stock kernel and gingerxperia and it asked for ''unlock code'', today it didn't ask for unlock code took it in but wont register.
I guess there must be some sim lock or something. I kindly ask you if you could give me and advice so I can be at peace.
Maybe it is unlocked but something to do with Radio pehaps nonetheless my current Network works fine.

Exactly the same question.
I have an xperia X8 with some naa kernel and xperiadroidx 6.1.
The thing is that with this custom kernel and rom when i put a sim from another network carrier, the question asking for the sim-unlock code input is not showing up. (this appeared before when phone was in stock state)
What do i need to do?
Put back the phone to stock? What is the easiest/safest/best way to do this? using the restore option in PC companion?
Is it only needed to put the stock kernel and rom, or Do i also need to relock the bootloader?
I don't need the whole explanation, just a little guidance, just a few tips to know what to do, then i can google/search myself for the specifics on how to actually do it.

This is my first post. I have found my old xperia x10i and I want to return back to stock android in order to install the latest cyanogenmod ROM. Sometime ago I tried this tutorial:

I managed to succesfully install CM7 by following step by step (and without knowing what am I really doing). The problem is that now I cannot change ROM!
I think that if I return to stock android I will be able to change ROM by folowing the tutorial given with the ROM.
Please help and feel free to any suggestions!

I think yes. I mean back then. I think I have a custom kernel. You can check by seeing the video tutorial
If you want flash ICS or JB your bootloader must be unlocked. I think that your bootloader in locked but you should check with s1tool which link can be found in second post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1254087 . When you do it post log here.

Your bootloader is locked.
To unlock your bootloader you need install stock 2.3.3. Download lastest flashtool from here http://androxyde.github.io/index.html?1371500146000
and download stock firmware from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1749426 at second post. Here is guide how to flash stock firmware http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=928343 at 3 post.
After flashing stock firmware boot phone and turn on unknown sources and USB debugging. Then root it using flashtool (connect your device to computer and pres button with lock). Then turn on flashtool and pres bootloader unlock button (second button in flashtool). Turn off device and connect to computer holding back button.

i just flash my e10i i using flashtools to thange the baseband and kernel becoz i want to flash cyanogen mod mini. after follow those steps are given it succeed but the problem is cannot detect sim card . . after this happened i using seus and flashtools several times but the result is same.my bootloader is unlocked
how to fix this.
