Is anybody using Swype keyboard on the HTC One X+ and using the standard browser from HTC (version 4.5.472295)
Swype settings says that 'Autospacing' and 'Auto-capatilazation' is activated and it works fine in Google Chrome, WhatsApp and so on...
But if I want to type text somewhere (for example the XDA-forum) it doesn't work and put al the letters next to eachter as one longgggg word

Anybody that uses Swype and can confirm this?
I've used several versions of Swype, all with this annoying problem: 3.26.92.39062 & 1.3.1.9410 (last beta)
Is this HTC related, One X+ related, HTC browser related, JellyBean related or Swype related?
I've noticed the same thing. I'm guessing that it's a browser thing.

I've read that's it a JellyBean issue and Swype now the problem for months but didn't fix it

There is a new Swype: 1.3.5.10176
There is a new One X+ FW: 1.16.401.6
Anybody that checked this issue? Is Swype finally working correct?
I haven't updated my One X+ yet, because I'm busy with battery-benchmarks (that will last for a week)
So I don't want to upgrade yet...
Doesn't work in the standard browser, WTF Swype, fix this :crying:
Swype hasn't fixed this!
So do you know what Swype? Byebye :good::victory:

Have you tried the free Gingerbread keyboard from the market? I stopped using the HTC keyboard in preference to it.

This works quite well on mine: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=624416
Download the 'High resolution version (Froyo/2.2)' version. Unzip, install both apks using the file manager of your choice. Simple as that.

Hello,
I'm trying to install HTC IME on my new droid razor XT910. As soon as I obtained this new phone I realized that can't live without a semi-qwerty keyboard. By me HTC's one is the best I've tried.
I downloaded v27 and it's ok but the keyboard leaves a blank space on the left.
Anyone does have any advice?

Anyone?????
It's rendering that way because it's the wrong resolution - the RAZR is qHD, that is clearly WVGA. You'll need to try and find one from a qHD HTC device like the Sensation or Evo 3D that works.

I have the same issue. My suggestion is to get "smart keyboard pro" app. Closest I can find to the look and feel of the HTC v27 keyboard
Force closes on me on the RaZr...
Any help...not rooted...

The firefox alpha browser is not compatible with all of the current plugins available for the stable firefox browser that is already available on the market. Compatibility checking is based on the version number. After playing around with this browser while its still in alpha i find it to be quite stable and good for daily use.
Here's the OFFICIAL Mozilla file at Bugzilla for getting official support for ARMv6 devices.

Have a go and try if it works
EDIT: It takes a long time to download, and when you do you run out of space. So beware

testet it with DK Rom, it starts, show the startpage but cannot use it. When i open a adress it shows only the adressbar and a black screen. Can not load the Updatefuncion, because it is an Website and can not loaded. Same problem here with the Black Screen.
Yep, I am getting the black screen too, for some reason it can still take screenshots of the page to it on the start screen lol

Doesn't render pages. I believe it is all hardware accelerated. And our wildfire hasn't got any hardware. Might need software rendering to be implemented before its going to be usable.

Just noticed that my GB Rezound does not support SNI for SSL connections. It appears that this was added as of Honeycomb and that ICS should have it built in.
I thought it might be browser only related but apparently not.
Any able to test browsing to https://alice.sni.velox.ch/ which is an SNI test site?
If you get a certificate error the browser, the phone or both don't support SNI
For those not aware of SNI, it is a way to host multiple SSL certificates on a server using the same IP. WinXP doesn't have support for it (though FF does on it).
Win7 and above should have it by default.
if this works, it might end up getting me to finally update to ICS this weekend. Up till now I've not really had a compelling reason. But I just setup a bunch of SNI SSL sites and none of them work with the current config.
It did not give me a certificate error on Venasaur 3.2

Actually, it might not give a cert error, but will say that the browser may or may not be supported in the first section of the page.

You forgot to mention Swiftkey 3 Beta ;__;
I didn't know they had a beta version. Just installed it and love it.

swift key is the best!
Messagease.
It looks kinda distorted when slighly resized (default is too huge) but works just fine.
Swiftkey is my weapon of choice.
Fortunately got it on sale for 99c. Even at full price it is worth it though. Generally, I only have to type half a word as it predicts it.
