I think you have to reboot after pressing install script and then reboot into recovery. You lost root?

I fed the panda to soff so I don't know about the method you used. But if you lost root you might have to re root. I'm not sure

Get quickboot from the market, its free. It has the option to bot into recovery. Saves wear on the buttons as well.

Thanks guys for all the help.
For anyone in the same situation I ended up using regaw's rooter. Worked like a charm.

Unrooted back to rooted?

Hi, I'm in trouble here. I unrooted my phone back to stock and still have hboot still off. So i am doing the process of rooting again and when i open revolutionary exe and its asks for the generated key. I go to the website and generate one I put it in and its coming back as invalid. Is there anyway to fix this? Please help.

You're probably mistaking an 0 for an o, or a 1 for an I or something. I suggest copying and pasting.

What do you mean nothing happens? It won't paste, or still won't work after you paste?

Why can I find the root zip?
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA Premium App
Just flash a recovery and then flash the su zip from recovery. You can easily find it in the developers section.
Here is the recovery: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192077
Here is the SU: http://goo-inside.me/superuser/su-2....fgh-signed.zip

Installing the recovery and Su apk doesn't root my phone. I need the exploit I think.
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA Premium App
The exploit just gives you s-off. If the recovery installed and the su zip installed then you are good to go. You may want to try flashing the engineering hboot in the developers section.

Can you accept OTA with root and s-off ?

Noob question. Can you accept the ota with s-off or will it cause issues or possible brick? I haven't had my tbolt very long and it was already modified when I bought it.

You can accept it, but then you will lose root.

If your ROM was developed, ummm, "properly", it should have OTA updating disabled. Of course, not all are...

Yea it has been disabled on the Rom I'm running, I was just curious if it would cause problems if I took the update. I'm still learning the ins and outs of rooting. But I understand what your saying, I've seen some time that the ota push was not disabled.

I believe it will fail at the bootloader stage when it encounters a non-stock recovery.
I'm running stock n all I did was flash stock recovery via boot loader then download n install the ota, then flash cwm recovery via bootloader then flash the su zip then boom rooted ota

Googling stock recovery did nothing for me. I loaded killa sense 3.7, flashed the ota enable zip, but no luck. Error. I guess that elusive stock recovery is needed.

Rom Flash Failed

Im having an odd problem that I have never seen before. Im trying to flash Newts OnE XxX rom and looking for some help. When trying to flash the rom in recovery after about 5-10 secs. I get a massage saying the instal had failed. Any ideas as to what could be causing this and a way to get the rom to instal? I am s-off using teamwin recovery.
Bad download. Just download it again.

What recovery are you using? Armonra or clockworkmod?

Thanks that did the trick. Never had a recovery give me an issue before when trying to flash anything. Sill have my fingers crossed for 4ext.
No problem. It's been my experience that Amon RA is the best recovery for HTC phones. I've pretty much used it exclusively since the droid eris.

yes u need a pc or laptop.. u could use adb to flash recovery or u can flash recovery in bootloader just remane it recovery file to PJ75IMG put the file on the root of your sdcard and go into bootloader it will find the file ask if u want to update and u press volume up to update and ya good.. just take the file off your sdcard after u reboot cause it will try and update everytime u go into bootloader.. bro this is what u need rite here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2026938

What hboot do you have? Do you have the supersu app installed? If you open it, it should ask you to update if it needs it.

Yes... If you have the Supersu app, just open it... If the binary is outdated, it will prompt out for asking you to update... If not, go to its settings to update...
