I have my Verizon Eris activated on alltel, just used the ##PROGRAM menu to setup provisions to the alltel towers and configure the user/passwords for 3G data and them uploaded the alltel PRL with ##PRL and *228'd the phone and it's been perfect for over a month now, EXCEPT MMS.
I can't figure out a way to change the MMS addresses in messages settings, the MMS settings aren't anywhere in the MPST programming menus at all. If I go to the messages app and hit menu, I can find the MMS addresses in there, they're set to verizon of course, but I'm not given an option to change them...
Is there a way to change the MMS addresses without rooting? .. since the root hasn't been figured out yet.
not really that's an apn setting which has been removed out of the settings menu. once root comes we'll have that control again.
wow, glad im not the only one waiting for this...
I am on pageplus and in same boat. Everything works except mms.
thanks
When I go to messages and input my phone number, then connection settings, I am able to input Name, MMSC, MMS Proxy, MMS port, & MMS Protocol...

Are you sure you're able to input to those fields? They're all greyed out for me.
Messages>>Menu>>Settings>Connection settings

I'm 100% sure they are not greyed out. I noticed that when mobile data is ON, you don't have access to change your mms settings. When mobile data is switched off, you do...
I am on Cricket, so the settings I am experimenting with relate to that carrier. So far, I have not been successful in getting mms to work, but feel very close. If you have any ideas feel free to pm me.
Thanks

Disabling wireless does not "ungrey" those settings to edit. Even if I could edit, I wouldnt know what to use in them. Maybe this is something we need to wait for root to edit?
Sounds like it.

Well, on my Eris, I am able to input MMS info and I (of course) am not rooted.
Try this: Install the Quick Settings app from Market and turn off data settings from there. See if you get MMS edit capability after that.
The info I am using for Cricket is:
Name: Cricket MMS
MMSC: http://mms.mycricket.com/servlets/mms
MMS Proxy: 8080
MMS protocol WAP 2.0

I have an unlocked vibrant on ATT and the MMS message I send doesn't get received. Any ideas?
you might not have the correct apn settings for att. google att android apn setttings.
googled..and i found some apn settings and i entered them on my phone however my phone couldnt find the data network at all so i reverted to defaults. and yes i rebooted twice. i did see something regarding changing the port # to 8080? should i give it a spin?
Hello,
I have the Sprint GN3 SM-N900P, I had my phone flashed to Verizon's Straight Talk. I am unable to send and receive MMS messages. I have narrowed it down to the APN settings on my phone. Does anyone know how to access the APN settings on this phone? I do ##3282#, edit, MSL code, more, LTE APN settings and I can see all the APN's?
APN0 EHRPD ota
APN0 LTE ota
APN1 EHRPD pam
APN1 LTE pam
APN2 EHRPD internet
APN2 LTE internet
GLOBAL Roaming - Sprint
Does anybody know a way to modify these?
Thanks,
Cant seem too change apn settings. Can call but no data or mms. Data is greyed out and so is the options in network settings... operators and apn.. what is a solution?
So I've been searching around and haven't been able to find an answer yet, that actually works. I'm using my G3 on Sprint for a bit while my G6 gets fixed, and it's on rooted ZVC. I apparently live in a Sprint dead zone, so WiFi calling is a must, but MMS doesn't work over WiFi with the default APN setting for MMSC. If I use an app like Textra, I can force the correct URL, but I have been unable to change/add the correct APN to the system in order to use Android Messaging, for example. I can get to the APN settings screen, but no options to add or edit. ##DATA# lets me change the setting for the stock messaging app only. Any suggestions?
