hop ur request will come true..big question for me?why sony's flagship takes too long to jelly bean(4.1.1) even ics before, they are always the last - WHY?while samsung almost of them upgraded now to jb(4.1.2) and as of now they are planning again with 4.2..other bad news also is that sony already pulled out to asop developer so jb for our xps delay the flagship againe:crying:..i came to cm10 but the camera is too poor..take shoot on dark area is too blurry, looks like the flash is not 100% working..also media is poor, sony walkman player is better compared to apollo maybe because of the bravia engine (xloud, clear bass & clear audio)..so i wonder why many xps user like cm10?for me xtxperience is better than cm10 also..but i noticed system ui of cm10 is better than sony because their rom is very fast and smooth!:good:..anyway cm10 is not yet official and i will wait, and i believed them because every week have a change log, goodluck cm10!

Yeah... I understand what you mean.. But we can only hope it will get better...
Sony is not the popular choice...so they can probably take their time
I truly hope we can get the Sony themed cm10... It would be with great performance and good looks.

Why neo v is so slow in ics while other new comers are smooth

Hi guys i cant understand why our neo v is slow in ics while other newcomers with low specs is having ics smooth as gb in our neo v. .. Cant we port their technique to get smoothen our neo v

The stock Sony ICS ROM is just ****ty. Try Polish Blood 4.0.4 It's based on AOSP and is overall incredibly smooth.

Not a good idea to just keep making new threads, and you haven't confirmed the last one yet
Also it's slow coz the phones old and Sony put huge Rom in it use a cm or kang a 100 meg Rom

For me,stock Sony rom doesn't look ****ty at all.I've tried almost all custom roms, and I've returned back to stock.I'm using Apex Launcher instead of Sony launcher and few apps from Xperia S including ported lockscreen and it's smooth almost like Polish Blood rom.I don't know how it behaves in games because i'm not using it for gaming, but overall it is very smooth. And i'm getting the best battery life with stock rom and Alliance Kernel v1.4

I'm not saying it's ****ty, the stock ROM is really beautiful. That's the only right thing Sony managed to do right with their ROM. Other than that there is a ****load of bloatware on it. And I very much doubt that you can have a LWP, a few apps running in the background on the phone and still have more than 100MB of free RAM. That's what amazes me about the Polish Blood ROM. But then again, different people, different preferences
Look at Samsung they have not given ics to any single core devices...
Yes Sony stock Rom had its share of bugs but the devs are trying to correct it and Sony themselves are updating our phone again for the 3rd time....
LG has still not given ics to optimus black and 2x and Sony has given it to entire 2011 series....
In that respect Sony is great....
Don´t know...i´m using JJ hybrid for quite some time now...but i think its time to try CM or another one..
I think ICS is actually smoother than GB, just hav some comp problems and sony fills the rom with bloatware.. but not even close as motorola do!
And tried JB alpha... still really unstable and buggy...but its blazing fast and the butter thing is true( just had to use force gpu rendering)
Sometimes lag of the homescreen depends on the amount of widgets you are using. Right now I am using stock with stock kernel, it is not as smooth as polish blood ics but all features like hdmi and wireless tethering works. For gamming I will choose polish blood ics.
I tried a xperia ray with latest update and feels smoother, we should be getting the same update soon.

All ginger - very fast fully functional but really old.
Official ics - Laggy , self rebooting sth , Fully functional
CM9 - smoother but torch and camera flash need patch to fix. CM9 have none of XLOUD , BRAVIA , Dual mic need patch to fix. Camera performance is drop down from official. i don't know why. may be it cause by sony camera app ( we can not port sony camera app to CM9 for now )
CM10 and Jelly rom - Alpha one. fast but extremely not fully functional ( i think)
Every one here love to use Official ics as base ( MIUI , Tweaked rom or what ever ) cuz it fully functional.
for me, I need some rom that use CM9 stable version as base. cuz it was super fast.
I want a rom for locked bootloader, I cant unlock my bootloader on my phone bcuz my carrier has locked fastboot mode
how did carrier lock fastboot mode .. .___.
Currently stripped customize Official Stock ICS firmware is the best choice for Xperia ray. But most dev here are focusing on CM10 development. I recommend you to join and develop with them to get stable Jelly Bean.
ZN6 by Tapatalk 2 HD Version
I think a MIUI ICS fully multilaunge and stable..fast..battery friendly..

Jellybean
Jellybean is the future. Jellybean is super fast and battery friendly. But not fully functional yet. I wait for a fully working jellybean tweaked rom.

welcome fera. the only thing missing when i switched from x10 to ray was your perfect rom. cant wait to enjoy it on my ray DD
Hi, I would definitely go for something stock-based, quite lite, similar to JJ's Hybrid ROM, but faster like RayOniumICS and with loooooooot of customisatinos. I like all the present ROMs but every ROM has something. It would be nice if you could take the best from each ROM and put it together. Oh and please don't forget the CRT effect from CM9 I'm a big fan of that. I would also suggest to make some addons as well because developers usually like to their ROM without the SONY stuff like 3dcamera, Timescape...
i'd like to see tweaked miui rom, with alot of customization of course.
miui is great on customization, and i like my phone being different
If you could develop an app or mod to enable ad-hoc WIFI support that would be great.
I see many great ROMs here, but some of them lack this support.

Replacing The Stock Dialer

Hello everyone, i was wondering if it's possible to replace the default stock dialer with the original android dialer like the one in cm9 because to be honest the dialer has always been a problem for me ever since my Xperia Arc, for the life of me i really can't understand how Sony with all it's awesomness can't make a fast dialer, it's so slow sometimes it's embarrassing and at the moment i feel like reverting back to stock from cm9 even though i love cm9 but it still lacks some important features to me, and it does not make sense to use a different firmware just because i can't get the stock Sony dialer not to lag.

Battery tweaks
Im still thinking^^

Still waiting
So Khemara is back!!!!!

And now I think you can remove that tag from ur signature"DISCONTINUED FROM XDA"
Best Regards,
AJ
Can u make JB camera Quality AS GOOD AS OF ICS? I know without new camera libs its not possible but sony have released jb for xperia t and v so if u can take their camera libs and make them work it on mdpi phones!
Sent from my WT19i using xda premium
Honestly, considering the fact that sony is never gonna give us a jb.... i guess what we really need now is ..a jelly bean rom that is totally 'sony'... i mean to say.. like what they have put there for xperia t and v..... this rom should look lyk as if it's frm sony (and far better than sony, ofcourse). from the Ui to the customization (like for an exanple..sony never gives a blue colored text anywhere in statusbar... it's white). mayb i sound like one with only wishes and wishes but no wish to help but i swear most of us would like the rom to be a fresh,sony-themed,fast and stable one. just spare the blue/miui/cm theming and all....other roms have that. we need a 'sony jb'. ...would be happy to test the rom once i get my bl unlocked. keep up the good work.

And No bloatware with Your own touches ,,I believe that it will be so Hard ,, However U R a Great dev Hope u the best ,, Thanks
Sent from my WT19i using Tapatalk 2
Oooh man this moment is too good to be true, never missed any of ur rom updates, welcome back , anyhow, +1 for pure xperia looks like that of vanilla's with ur awesome touch ofc ,and hopefully a cooler new camera ui libs if possible ofc and a neat system ui like that of serajr's for ics am pretty sure it i'll rock, cant wait
+1 for the camera. Don't know if it's possible, but the main reason I'm not using JB right now is that cybershot is not available.

I think you should use a mix of sony style with aosp and you could use pacman rom as base because it has more options to costumize... for last, you should include walkman player with sound mods because the sound of jb roms for our devices sucks
I like to use an hardware button for flashlight, the option in cyanogen and in rom control ...
AW: JB ROM taking suggestions
I can say following
Build Base :
FXP CM10/maybe M66B extented Rom
I decided for the Mixed look between Sony and AOSP
- Sony Media Apps (Walkman,Album,Video)
SONY sketch Font
Xperia z Boot/Nexus Boot/..............
Clean (without CM10 Bloatware)
Edited Wallpaper
SONY launcher
A lot of more changes forgot
TWEAKED whole SYSTEM
New Scripts
Icreased Smoothness
Low ram usage
Very efficient
MORE IN PROGRESS
YOU CAN PM ME WITH IDEAS
Sent from my SK17i using xda app-developers app
Good to hear ur idea .. however as aosp style/mixed style is already present in other jb roms here in xda, u could hav thought of the idea of making it pure sony-themed. but i can't imagine the amount of hard work u r putting in it so whatever u like, bring it on mate .. a bug-free jb rom, that's it! <fingers crossed>

Hello guys,
Just a simple question, any other IDEA how to make this general section more dirty? I'm curious :-|
and just in case I call this a forum not a chat room!
so all I can say is thnx for making harder to find something useful in general section for me!
with all due respects seriously love you guys!
No offence though
PS: and there is already a Q&A section here
PSS: to admin, moderator or anyone here with some power it would be really great to make a discussion thread in Sony sections. thnx.
Root it -> Unlock Bootloader -> Flash Sliding XP v7.3 Kernel -> Flash Experience V2 (ROM)...

Install Slinding XP kernel 7.3, you'll get a much smoother phone and install ACID Audio Engine v7, for awesome sound.
i have been using my xperia p for 3 months with stock rom.just got on with rom cook.never better.
You should just wait patiently and not do anything until JellyBean rollout.
which ntituses
i am waiting too
I am Also new to Xperia P but Old to Xperia . I am waiting for JB.. JB will be great on this device (I think. ) In xperia P forum every thing seems to be paused.
Which unofficial rom do you suggest for xperia P. This stock ICS really sucks. I came from htc with cyanogenmod7 and must confess that even that was better than stock ICS. I was waiting for official JB but comparing stock ICS and CM9 (experience only from htc) I do not believe that stock JB will satisfy me.
