Nope. Despite being capable of running it, Windows 8 is a closed OS and therefore you'd run into licensing issues.
Though that being said, I think the screen resolution may be too low on the Prime and also not sure(I may be corrected on this) but I think Windows 8/RT won't run on the NVIDIA Tegra architecture

Thanks for the reply!

Lol.... Windows RT is not able to run on tegra 3? - bull.....t. Look at Microsoft Surface RT - it has a Tegra 3 chipset.
Prime is not able to run "Windows 8" because this is system for x86 and x64 architecture.
There is only possibility to run ( theoretically ) Windows RT because this is OS for ARM procesors like tegra 3 but Win RT is OEM system and completly locked. I think isn not possible to port this to prime.
I see 2 ways....
Sold prime and buy M$ Surface RT
Or...
Sold prime ...and wait little bit for M$ Surface Pro with full Windows 8 - (I chose this path - prime is completly not usable for me)

PlayStation Games...

Hello all you developer guys.... Does the Xperia S supports all types of play station games like ps2, ps3, ps Vita...
If this Supports means how to install it...
If this doesn't support ps2, ps3, ps vita means whether you guys can make it possible

Yeah, was wondering if there would be any way to emulate the Play on the x10. It has HDMI and huge CPU power to go with, so the only issue would no hard controls. These could be emulated like Gameboid etc. Playing Wipeout on the train would be epic.

You need a really good PC to run PS2 smooth... The phone would blow up before you install the emulator app.

What has this to do with pc emulators?
Sent from my LT26i using XDA
Only the ps1 titles have an emulator built into the Apk. As for the other newer games we have seen true ports already from PSP (loco Roco on ps cert devices in japan) and we have heard that ps2 games are in Sonys master plan to.

Screenshots attached on xperia S but can only play this version with a controller (USB) (sixaxis Bluetooth)

Maybe because a PC is much more powerful than your phone?

Maybe because if a PC can't run the ps2/3/vita emulator (if some of theme even exists, like the vita emulator) for the games properly with translated instruction set (x86 compared to MIPS on ps1/2, Cell BE (PPE only) on PS3, etc), a similar architecture phone (arm) won't even come close to run it as fast?

What's the problem with my age? You really hate me, don't you?
That guy asked for PS2/Vita emulators... I said that he need a very good PC so a PS2 game runs smooth... My cousin with a Intel Core i3 (''Quad''-core, 2.6 Ghz) run it almost as on the console. If we tried to run a properly ported game to the Xperia S, it will ''blow'' the phone, because of the weak processor (Dual core 1.5 Ghz).

Why should i hate you? Dafuq?
Its not the power..
Its the architecture..
No need for explanation..
Core i3 doesnt have quad cores. Its dual.

Windows and iOS on GTab possible?

Hi guys,
I have a weird question i was thinking about how it will be awesome to see Windows 8 on GALAXY Tab 10.1 so is there a way to use Windows 7 or 8 on GALAXY Tab 10.1 P7500 or evem iOS.
Thanks.

Definitely not ios apple would never allow that in a million years dont know about windows but I think the tegra 2 chip would pose problems
Sent from my HTC Wildfire S A510e using Tapatalk
The on the iOS i agree 100%,but i really think the Windows 8 Tablet version would be good on the GALAXY Tab cause so far there isn't an Quad Core Windows 8 tablets anouncments so i think it would run smoothly on the Tegra 2 Processor specially cause it runs VERY SMOOTHLY on android.

the likely hood of a dev spending time to port over win8 is very unlikely everyone is all about ICS and making that play well with our tab.

Best Windows 8 theme/Rom?

After seeing Windows RT being demoed, I am interested one seeing what it would feel like on a Tf201. I know you cannot have windows 8 on the prime, but does anyone know of a Theme or Rom that can be flashed to make it look like windows 8. Is there even such thing made?

Which laptop?

What laptop should I buy for use with android (theming mostly) but also as a daily thing?
I need a new laptop, and my current one is really bad. The crap I am using atm is really stopping me from being able to do any of my own modding and id like to theme.
Dont hurt me, but I like mac laptops. But from what I can tell they make android a challenge...?

If you want to compile kernels or roms then you have to install ubuntu or any linux distro
Apps and stuff can be done on Windows
You might be better off getting a Mac and dual booting Mac and linux if money isn't an issue.

I do alot of themeing, compiling and other things,i used to run microsoft 7 for years, then i switched to linux and ive never looked back,i bought a Toshiba Satellite with i7 processor and 4GB ram and this thing can handle any kind of strenuous project i might throw at it.

Yes. As I have the same OEM but different set up and it runs perfectly. And you will find more tools for Windows/linux then you will for a mac. Plus you can upgrade it later if you would like. This can't be done on a mac.

You mean it can't be done on the Mac OS. Apple laptops can dual and triple boot many operating systems, including Windows and linux.

You can still upgrade the ram and hard drive on the latest Macbook Pro(non retina). Apple has made it difficult/impossible to switch out the ram and hard drives in other models, but so have other companies that make laptops.

I can upgrade both ram and hard drive with only removing 3 screws. To be honest I have both a mac book pro and my windows PC and find myself reaching for my PC more then my MacBook.

I said most laptop companies have stopped the ability to switch out the ram and hard drive, not all of them. The macbook pro can do what your windows PC can do(in terms of upgrade ability, even though it takes 10 screws to access the ram + hard drive) and also run Mac OS X.
To be honest I have both a Mac Mini and a windows laptop, and find myself reaching for my Mac more than my windows laptop.
In the end it comes down to if you have the money to spend on a mac for only the OS. If your gonna use it for developing your gonna dual boot Linux either way
Wayne Tech Nexus
You could buy a mac and dual boot linux and ubuntu but I reccommed that you buy a desktop version beaches I used to build source on my MacBook Pro 2013 but the heat would go up from the 30 degrees to about 55 degrees. Then I got a Mac Pro 12 Core and although it was much more expensive I get my builds done much faster and I get to add more fans to keep the temperature down.
