Has anyone here pre-ordered a magnesium case for the mda III from proporta.com ? I ordered this case in march.. and im still waiting for it.. been emailed loads of times that i'll get the case in mid april, early may.. mid may.. end of may early june.. couple of weeks..
taking the mick arent they? I even emailed them at the beginning of june and they replied i should be expecting it end of may LOL.. i bet they just copy and paste rubbish from one customer to another..
I was literally going to order a magnesium case at the weekend, but if they are still hanging about I think i will go with the aluminum case, unless anyone knows a reason why I shouldn't?

Mine is 6 months old and I really liked it until... the camera side of it started to split in 2 because the 2 layers of leather are GLUED and not stitched :evil:
Just ordered the flip one from mobilefun.co.uk (GBP 19 or something like that) as a replacement. Looks much like the original from O2 for the XDA2

Price isn't fantastic, but they do have better coverage for around the speaker/camera than many of the ones on ebay, best part is there is NO hole for the belt clip almost no one would use anyways.
Available in blue, which looks like a purple, red, which looks pink to me, clear white, and black. Shipping on the 30th.
I had one of those with the hole in the back for the belt clip on my Dash way back when, and hated it, stuff always built up in there.

Just checked again today, looks like they're back up again! Anybody gotten theirs yet? I've never heard of Amzer, looks like they produce cases for all sorts of phones, has anyone had any prior experience with their stuff before?
Thanks for the heads-up. Personally, I'm staying away from this. Last time I had the snap-on type cover, dust/dirt particles always managed to get in between the phone and the cover, and mar up the finish (was very surprised to see tiny indentations from dust particles... wouldn't such a thing require outside pressure?).
Any good silicone covers?

Anyways, I've had a few like this before, I think Amzer is just a manufacturer of the items and usually sell them under other names via wholesellers.
I had one made by them for my old Dash, and it was beautiful. Metalic red, and rubber coated. How they did it, no idea.
I'll post a thread for Sedioonline soon, as that's the one I really want, and will need help getting it done. The Innocase/Holster combo is the best setup I've had.

ive had my red one for a couple days now and i must say the color is unbelievable! its a deep dark read and then it has like a felt kind of feel to it. its really nice and it really doesnt make the phone look fat like other cases do. and the rubber makes it very nice and comfy and it stays in the hand nicely.
edit: dirt does get in between the case and the phone after a couple days and it does stratch the finish of the phone owe well gonna stick with it i love the color to much

i just cancelled my order today because again my order will ship tomorrow. they are annoyying how much they do not care about the customer. it really steams my noodle. they are trying to run a business and they are doing a terrible job of it.wait til next month the cases are suppost to start comming out in full force. screw amzer and there damm case. i will never do business with amzer again and strongly recomend you dont , and tell everyone you know not to either. unless your up for the round about they have prepared for you. they lie and so does there website. and they will just keep telling you tomorrow so they dont have to help you today.
Yep I just canceled my order with them I placed it on the 22nd and still nothing. I paid with paypal so I also filed a non delivered complaint with them just incase they try to stiff me with there so called handling fee of $5.

Yup I also just saw my email from them and was gonna start a thread. GONEBATTY13 is the code in my email as well. You're card will be charged immediately, but the case will not ship till the end of November. That's the crappy part about it. So its a 50% off pre-order sale..... Nice to know they are actually releasing the HC series case still, but I doubt I'll buy one this late in the game....
I'm just tired of waiting months on Ballistic to finally release their HC series case. It was the same with the Evo 4G, and now the 3D. I'm sticking with Otterbox!! They always have the Defender ready to install on launch day. Maybe Ballistic will learn they need to do the same to be competitive. Until they do, Otterbox will continue to get my money.

Thanks, I had an HC for my EVO 4G and loved it. I've been using an Otterbox on my 3D without any issues, but I've always like the looks of the Ballistic HC cases more. And in my opinion they offer just about the same amount of protection as the Otterbox.
Too late. I would have bought Ballistic HC before anything else, I loved it for my Evo 4G. Oh well, maybe next time Ballistic. I really do love your product, but I hate your timing.
Just confirmed my order, 33 dollars with shipping inside of the United States. I've needed a case for my phone because i'm always scared of dropping it (Thank GOD my fingers have become less buttery than with my 8330.)
This is a better deal than the SG case.
(But really Ballistic case has saved my friends Samsung Infuse 4G; he dropped it from 7 feet up and ran over it with his bike...)

good to know the code works I'm trying to decide to get this since I got a $5 tpu case or w/e and havent dropped my phone to test it (don't really want to test it though)
Just saw the email that sucks if it had come out a month ago OK still very late this month aweful but end of November that's just ridiculous

No comparison between this and TPU. TPU offers very little protection. This Ballistic HC is the maximum protection that I know of.
The only problem I have with the HC case compared to the otterbox is the lack of port covers. I just feel as though it leaves them exposed to dust and other possible damage.

I need something I can use at work in an industrial environment.

very nice looking, I need something like this so I can let my kids use my prime. I called to see when it would be available. The customer service lady I talked to put me on hold to ask the designer when it would be available. He said towards the end of April. I probably wont pre-order but I will definitely be keeping an eye on this.

The more people that pre-order. The sooner production will start.
So if you are willing to buy eventually, why not pre-order now?
Nice looking case, but $60? I could see spending that for a case that covers the dock as well, or at least works with it. Their competition makes ipad cases that look almost identical for less than half the price...

I wont pre-order because the only thing keeping this case from being perfect is the lack of a stand. I watch ALOT of movies. So I will wait until it's actually available before i put my money on it. I was told towards the end of april, which sounded pretty firm. If that time comes and I still haven't found a good case then I will buy it.
The whole idea of getting enuff preorders in sounds good but I'm pretty sure a lot of prime owners have trouble beleiving a preorder will ever be fullfilled. Kinda like the champaign prime I ordered from best buy lol

I put in my order. I need a rugged case. I hope it comes sooner than end of April though. I emailed trident and they replied they would not be making a case. Doesn't look like otterbox will either. So this is my only hope. Does anyone know of a different hardcore case like this out now?

I would LOVE to get that case but the 60 bucks is making me second guess. Will probably wait until some people around here get them or I read a few reviews on how it looks and works with the Prime before I do anything. Thanks for the heads up though
If the designer can produce something close in terms of aesthetics, then I'm onboard.
I really appreciate the thickness and masculinity that this case appears to provide for the TFP.
$60 really isn't that bad, considering a standard Otterbox Defender series case is $50.

Gumdrop did not post my review
I tried to post a less than stellar review of the case and Gumdrop did not post it. The screen protector makes the screen not very responsive so I have removed the screen protector to get the responsiveness I wanted. Just a heads up that they censor the reviews on the website. I give the case 2 stars.
This case looks very bulky and uber pricey too. Sort of takes away from the whole ethos of wafer thin tablet aswell.
Damn..that's a sick looking case. Wonder how much weight it adds to the tab.

For those interested, I contacted Trident to ask wether they intended to manufacture some of their excellent cases for the Nexus 6, and unfortunately, they told me it wasn't part of their plans.
Of course, they gave me the usual yadi yada about forwarding the idea to their development team, and told me to check about future products to be sure. Though it's a polite way of telling things, it probably means they won't be making anything...
And that's the part that worries me most about this phone. I need a rugged case, and by that, I noticeably mean something with port covers, to at least protect the jack and USB from dust. So a Spigen case won't do.
I really like the size of the phone, my money is more than ready to be spent on a black 64GB version, I'm not really interested in any other model of phone on the market, but without a properly rugged case (at least something like a Trident Aegis : soft cushion wrap, maintained by hard plastic, and with ports covers), that won't happen...
well imho the whole point of a trident case was their Kraken AMS line. With the nexus 6 having a 6 inch screen and being 1 cm thick, the Kraken AMS would add too much bulk, making the already "big enough" nexus 6 way too big.
Their Aegis is cool too: basically the same thing to the Kraken AMS as Otterbox Commuter is to the Defender.

I have been in contact with them. They are supposedly going to have the aegis case ready by first of this year but no plans for the kraken. Even tho the kraken adds bulk I'd still like to have one. I have the kraken on my old s4

Great: I was actually just checking this thread back, and realizing my brain hard shorted the "first of this year" into "quite soon"... and was wondering if you had forgotten a word, or if "first of this year" was an idiomatic English expression I did not know (well, maybe it is).
First month of the year for a(n imho) properly rugged case is fine by me: it really renews my interest for the phone!
