Hello all. My problem is that when I attempt to access XDA using the standard XDA app over my mobile data I am unable to log in. When I open the app I get a popup that says my password is wrong and that I have used my quota for login attempts and that I cannot log in for 15 minutes. If I access the app on Wi-Fi it automatically logs in no problem. What could possibly cause this behaviour? I have used the XDA app over mobile data before without issues. Has anyone else has this issue? Seems the XDA app can be buggy at times based on the Play Store reviews.
Background information:
Phone: I9100M
Kernel: Dorimanx 7.20
Dual boot: Primary Chameleon 2.01 AOKP, Secondary: Slim Bean 3.0 (I was using Slim Bean when the issue occurred, I have not tried on Chameleon, I would like to use Slim Bean as my primary so I want to get the XDA app to work while using Slim Bean haha)
Carrier: Bell (Canada)
Things I have tried:
rebooting
clear XDA data and reboot
I have searched using Google for possible solutions and didn't find any other people with the same issue which I why I have posted this thread.
Check your init.d
Reinstall the app and wipe cache.

Check for what? Nothing looks out of the ordinary in that folder. I don't use any scripts myself.

EDIT:
Weird, the app seems to work now. Not sure what changed, but thank you both for responses. Perhaps it was an issue with AdAway as it was just updated. I will have to try it a couple more times later.
im having the same problem, i did try playing with apn settings and still get this error msg. tried both incredible s and sensation

Hey, I've searched all over for this, but I couldn't seem to find a solution. I'm unable to tag friends while using the Facebook app for Android, whether it's in Check-Ins, statuses, comments, or any of that stuff.
When I try doing it by using the "+" icon, it says "Unable to load friends list" (something like that) and then when I try using the "@" symbol, nothing shows up. It used to work perfectly fine, even with this version of the app. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling... Wiping cache, and even different ROMs. Could this be a gingerbread bug? I'm using a T-Mobile G2x, with the latest CM7.3 nightly build.
Thanks in advance.
bump?
Try to get an older version of fb

I faced this issue after updating fb just now..
Solution : go to settings and enable sync (don't know how it switched off in the first place.). Started functioning normally again for me

Hmm..
1.Did you run any history-memory cleaner? Some days ago after running Clean Master with playstore history checked,I encoutered download error too so I wiped dalvik and cache and everything was back to normal.
2.Do you have any firewall that blocks downloading?
3.Or any other setting that prevents donwloading apps when your connection is via 3G?
4.Are you sure that this is not a bug of your rom?Check its forum.
5.What is your error description?
I am having the same problem... Shows the start page for the TOS and then jumps to either google search webpage or a web page showing the TOS. No option to agree to anything or install the app again. You can click on the play store but it just goes to the website and not the actual app. What the heck is going on?
Mine too now I can't even find the app even if I download an apk version help

I once had similar issue, I could not download apps from Google Play.
I fixed it by removing all Google accounts and then reboot and signin again.
Not sure if it's same issue but try it.
Got it I had to reset apps first. I'm a noob and had disabled it trying to fix it. After that removing and rebooting. Then resigning in worked great

Hey all, first post but a regular user and follower of this most amazing of all dev sites. XDA is awesomely awesome and Harmony Jellybean is the best ROM I've ever used. I actually enjoy using my g tablet now and it's as if it were a brand new machine. Super stoked with the advances that have been made on this device and I'm beyond appreciative of the brilliant minds who are keeping it alive. **HIGH FIVE** :highfive:
I am experiencing 2 specific problems on my device as of late:
1) Location access settings aren't working - Even with all the associated check boxes and switches flipped to on
2) Wifi is completely disabled on occasion where I let the tablet sleep and come back to it - The tablet says that it is turning wifi on but never does and the only way to fix it is with a reboot.
Has anyone else encountered either of these two issues? The Location access one is driving me CRAZY
Thanks for your help/assistance in advance
Am I the ONLY one experiencing location access issues with this ROM? Bummer...

9 times out of 10 the location access has to do with Google access apps. Unzip the ROM and see if it is missing the associated apps that are in the Standard Jellybean Gapps. If they are then simply load up the Gapps in recovery wipe both cache and dalvic then reboot. Location among other Standard features should work.
Hey nobe, thanks so much for the reply. I just tried that with a cache and dalvik wipe and then flashing an AOKP jellybean 4.2.2 gapps build and the problem still existed. So I had to restore from a backup to get my calendar sync to work again. Is there anything specific I should be looking for within the ROM file? Any particular set of apks or something?
Thanks again

looks like the 5th time was the charm. redownloaded an official gapps build for the 5th time and my location access is working in both harmony jellybean and smoother bean. guess it was just a matter of time. thanks for the suggestion, duder

Anytime......
Whoops, actually it appears to work in smoother bean an NOT in harmony. The network location apk is there, but it still isn't working. Cache and dalvik wipe, install from cwm and...nothing. Is there something I'm missing still?

Maybe try asking the dev on that one. It might be something having to do with the odexed parts is the System apps. Remember that gapps get loaded up in that directory and if you don't odex them they might not work right together.

What gapps build are others using on this ROM whose location access is working? PLEASE reply here. Thanks in advance.

Skype works well for me, no problems at all - even while plugged into my TV via HDMI or on mobile network.
First check your account details by logging on at the Skype website, if you're using it on a mobile network try wifi - some carriers don't like you using it instead of their calls.
Next try clear the app data in app manager, if that doesn't help then uninstall and reinstall the whole app.
Failing all that you would have a problem with your particular phone, have you applied all the Samsung updates released in your country and not disabled any vital services? Return to a fully stock ROM, factory reset etc.
and keep in mind that Skype takes a painfully long time to load

It happened to me few times but every time it was some strange Android issue (ICS & JB). Factory Reset and fresh ROM always fixed all issues.
Did you try full wipe and flash rom again?

I just rooted my Galaxy Note 2 last night and have been experiencing the same issue (as well as Feedly not signing in). Not sure if it's related to rooting the device but I can't find any help online.
Any luck with you?
I tried un-installing to factory version and it works. Maybe you can try that
