Is there anyway to not have text under all app icons while still using the stock Sense launcher? I see ways with enabling other launchers but want to stick with the Sense 4+. I see some apps like desktop visualizer but when using this and if you put the icon in your dock, on the lock screen the app is invisible!!!
It's very simple in what i'm looking for and simply can't understand why it's not easily available? Just want ALL app icons whether they be in the dock, home screen, app list to have no text underneath them. At least not on the dock or any of the homescreens. Would think that many would want the same thing to make the device look so much cleaner? Thanks

I've noticed when trying new themes with "theme chooser" on CM7 the dock remains the same, some icon changes at most, is there a way to customize the dock? I would like to add a couple apps on it or change the ones i have atm, mine show the classic dots that indicate the home screen you're on, then phone app, app drawer, internet app and dots again.
I don't think it's customizable without a separate launcher (ADW, Launcher plus, GO Launcher, etc).
LCD Density causes too many problems with the Market and downloading apps, so I'm trying to find an alternate way to get a more minimalistic setup.
Go Launcher looks great at first. It has an option where i can directly set how large I want my screen icons to be all the way down to 48px. Perfect. The problem is it doesn't have any options to customize the dock outside of downloading themes. I hate the way the dock looks, I can't even make it smaller, and I don't need themes.
ADW has the opposite problem. I can fully customize the dock the way I want to but there aren't any options to make home screen icons smaller unless you pay for the full version.
All I really want are smaller home screen icons like how Go Launcher offers, but I can't find any app that does only that, or found any launcher that combines ADW's dock customization with Go Launcher's icon customization.
Any ideas?
The only "solution" I've found is to take a screenshot of my phone, open it in IrfanView on my PC, crop and resize the dock icons, then save them to a folder in the phone and use them to replace the dock icons. I used ADW and miss that function in Go Launcher EX.

Doesn't sound like a very convenient solution...
Is Go Launcher open source? If no one's been able to make an app, I could just see how Go Launcher does it and make a solution myself.
So i hate using icons for my launcher, so i have used simple text as icons. But i have run into a snag along the way.... How do i modify my app drawer icon? I can change the icon easily. but when u choose what to launch you cant choose the app drawer, you have to physically choose an application, anyone know the way around this?
so you have an app drawer button or no?
Someone has got to have made this but I can't seem to find it. I'm using a "hubs" layout (one screen for social media, one for productivity etc) and I'd like to essentially have a horizontally scrollable launcher widget on each screen with apps that make sense for that hub.
Currently using simi folder widget which is cool, but I'd prefer the launcher bar that is activated by clicking on the folder to live in a widget right on the home screen.
Could anybody point me to a widget app like this? I'm pretty sure I saw a video where someone had this but didn't see details on what they were using. Thanks!
Edit: sorry if this would have been better posted in themes and apps. Please move if necessary.

If I'm understanding you then what you're looking for is a dock that can display icons that are specific to the current page? Something close would be Nova launcher which provides a scrollable dock. If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend it!

Thanks, I'm currently using Apex and I really like it. I don't want just 1 dock (no matter how many pages on it you can scroll through). I want a different set of apps in a horizontally scrolling launcher bar widget. Then I could put an instance of this widget on each of my homescreens with different apps in each one. Then when I swipe from my "Office" homescreen to my "Photo" or "Video" homescreens this "launcher" widget has the appropriate apps for that hub. Hopefully that makes sense.
Like I said, simi folder widget is pretty good for this kind of setup, but I thought there might be a better solution out there.
I use the DuckDuckGo widget for my searches as opposed to Google and would really love to be able to make it persistent like the Google search bar can be. I'm using Nova at the moment and it allows me to set Google as persistent if I want but it doesn't allow just any widget to be persistent, only the Google search.
If there are other launchers out there that show persistent widgets of your choosing please do tell me, if not if there is a way to make it happen is love to know!

i m also looking for such feature...
Why not just add the widget to the top of every page? It's not as nice, but I don't think there are launchers that support that since it's not nearly as popular

Well the reason I don't do that is because it doesn't look right, for some reason making the widget persistent doesn't look the same as adding a widget to every page. I don't know how to really explain it. Try using a fullscreen widget like Business Calendars 5x5 widget, and stretch it to whatever you have your grid set to, and then enable the persistent search bar. Take a screenshot and then get rid of the persistent search bar and just add one by hand and take a screenshot. They look different, almost like the persistent search bar doesnt take up the phone width of the grid like a regular widget does.
Also persistent widgets dont move the other things on your homescreens doen as far as having to take up another grid does.
Ive seen Overlay but that doesnt really do what i am trying to do, it just allows a floating widget over your screen and floats it on top of what is already there. I am looking for either a launcher or a mod that allows me to change which widget I use as the persistent widget.
