i own atrix 4g and i just install panaroid 2.+ i cant open play stor always crash and no fingerprint active any help???
Did you use the right version of gapps? Try going into app settings and clearing data. If that doesn't work, download the gapps again and flash again.
Paranoid android (and other ROMs like MiUi and CM9/10) is based on android source, which doesn't have code for fingerprint scanner (property of authentec, Motorola, apple?), so it will not work. If you want fingerprint scanner, you have to stay on GB for stability. Try MROM or CSROM, they both work nicely and have working fingerprint scanner.

OK, this has to be a bad joke:
I never had an issue with the Fingerprint Scanner on the HTC One Max. It always worked for me. I didn't mind the nuance of having to place my finger on the scanner exactly, because for some reason I always did. It always worked, and it did its job just fine to log me into my phone.
But here's where things don't make sense: when I enable the Phone Storage Encryption, it completely breaks the fingerprint scanner. After I was done encrypting, it disappeared. So its not just broken: its gone. No setting options, doesn't exist anymore under Settings.
This has to be a bad joke. How did HTC not foresee users wanting to encrypt their file system? Why not set up the fingerprint scanner as a means of 2-factor authentication? Obviously Android requires the typed password to log in, but have the fingerprint scanner not even exist anymore? Can't even use it to load special apps? Nothing?
Can someone explain this to me?
I have a lot of other issues with Sense 5.5 (Unable to change lock screen anymore, no proper default video player, no music equalizer installed by default, by a company that prided itself with its Beats Audio EQ capabilities in the HTC One...), but I'm going to leave this here for now. Can anyone explain what the hell happened when HTC designed the fingerprint scanner to "work" on this phone?

if you had searched or read the forum here, yes that is a known behaviour. we don't know the reasons behind all those.
can anyone tell me a way to disable the proximity sensor in cm10.1? this seems to be the cause of mic and speaker on skype and many other calling apps. Groove IP works because the proximity sensor isn't been used when calls are made from it so i'm guessing if i can completely disable it i would be able to use other apps like skype which is very important to me since i use it for both personally and work

Have you tried looking in the device options? I recall seeing something like that on cm7, perhaps it's still there.
A personal note: If you use the atrix for work, then you shouldn't be running an alpha rom, it might get you a lot of trouble. Your best option is motorola's official gb

I don't know if it's just my phone, but in every 8.1 ROM that I used the fingerprint scanner works very slow compared to MIUI ROMs. I know that there's some Magisk module, but it doesn't make any difference.
What shall I do? Which ROM makes the scanner to work the fastest?
I recently bought a Umidigi X from AliExpress and I ran into a small problem. The in screen fingerprint sensor only works for unlocking the phone. Can't use it for app authentication. Am I just missing something or is it a feature that hasn't been implemented yet for the in screen style?

Same problem with the fingerprint scanner. Received update 10/25/19 and problem still exists... I filed a dispute with ali express and received a partial refund.
Yeah same here with it not working. It definitely works better on the lock screen, before I was getting about a 95% failure rate but now it works almost every time. So they fixed some things but didn't fix the app authentication problem. Hopefully in the next update. I really like the phone besides just a few bugs that could be solved with updates or hopefully some good custom roms.

I have the same problem, got the updates but still doesn't work.
It is working now! Tested on two Umidigi X with PayPal app and Cortal Consors app.
Umidigi X 11/13 partially fixed inscreen fingerprint issue with third party apps
Tested new update 11/13 on my UMIDIGI X. It's working partially. Looks like Android Phone Security module doesn't wake the in screen fingerprint sensor and any apps using this still don't work... Few of many apps that still do not work with inscreen fingerprint are Expense Manager, Dunkin Donuts, FiOS, Bank of America, Bluebird by AMEX, etc.

So i have UMIDIGI_X_V1.0_20190912_20191113-1521. If i am reading this correctly it's the 11/13 update. If so has anyone had success in getting the sensor to work for apps? If so how, and which ones? I got the prompt to ask me if i want to use the fingerint sensor on my Banking apps. But nothing happens when i press it. Like was said up here it looks like Android Phone Security module doesn't wake the in screen fingerprint sensor.
Any solutions?

The phone unlocks with the scanner fine but when within any App, the in screen scanner does not seem to be activated. This is my 3rd Umidigi phone and this is really disappointing. I have so many apps and I cannot remember all of the password. IF this is not fixed, the phone will not be fit for use. Umidigi, please fix this quickly!!

Actually my banking app is working with the fingerprint scanner now. For about 2 weeks.
