Hi guys ok so ive just rooted and put a new rom on my s3 but it keeps rebooting and rebooting after a couple of minutes
On the reboot on the galaxy s3 screen gt19300 screen i now notice theres a little orange like and ! , ???? does anyone know what that is and has it got something to do with the constant crashing?
Thanks
It means that you've flashed a custom ROM/kernel/recovery (via Odin, for example). You can get rid of it with TriangleAway if it bothers you, but it has nothing to do with your problem.
ah right put my mind at ease many thanks for your help i appreciate it

This is not true I don't believe. I flashed CF ROOT via Odin and I never got a Triangle at all and the OP did not mention there was a "triangle" at all either, he said there was a little "orange light" and the triangle is not orange anyways... Its yellow.
OP... DO you have a triangle on your screen with an exclamation mark in the center of it OR are you getting just an exclamation mark on the screen and an orange light from your LED? If that is the case then the device may be telling you there is something wrong with it and that could be the reason it continues to crash.
Please be clear about what is happening and lets see if we can help you. I HOPE it IS just the Triangle though for your sake.
Also... What carrier are you with and are you sure your device IS the I9300 version? Is it possible that you have a "carrier branded" device and have tried to flash an I9300 ROM onto it?

Hi,
I've just flashed the speedmod kernel and everything is working properly, but there is one thing that is really bugging me. Whenever the phone is booting up an exclamation mark appears bellow the SGS2 logo. How can I remove this?
many thanks in advance
Rafa
buy a usb jig from ebay. It's because you flashed a custom kernel.

Sorry, I don't think I made my self clear. I know what you mean by buying the jig but I don't have any issues other than the exclamation mark. The phone does boot properly and I can use it perfectly. It's just a visual annoyance to see the exclamation mark every time the phone boots up.
USB jig will remove the yellow triangle, or you can do some fancy flashing trickery as depicted in the cf root thread.

it has no effect on your phone and can be removed by using a jig or if you do a bit of searching there are other methods.
it is simply a marker to point out you are running a custom rom.
Many thanks, guys. I had no idea you could remove the triangle with the JIG.
Need to root... i'm going right??
My Kies page says this about my Samsung galaxy s2:
PDA:KI8 / PHONE:KI2 / CSC:KI1 (HUI)
I've found in the forum this cf root "CF-Root-SGS2_XW_NEE_KI8-v4.3-CWM4.zip"
May i use this cf root on the device using Odin, or it's not good for my device? thanks in advance to anyone who may help me.

Yes mate, you can use that. Just make sure you follow the instructions in the CF Root thread carefully and you won't go wrong.
Also, MAKE SURE that you use task manager and kill any process thats name starts with kies.
Can you kindly the link to CF Root thread ?
I know i will close Kies on PC and starting my phone pressing simultaneously Volume down + power + central buttons then launch Odin
If you give me the link to CF Root thread i will be more sure than now.
Thanks a lot.

When i switch on the phone i have a Yello triangle with an exclamation mark , how to resolve it?
From my small amount of know how you can't. It's to show that the device has been modified.
Let me know what ROM you go for! I rooted my device only recently and wondering which ROM to choose , ie Cynagen etc.
Sure i know.
I don't know how to solve, as in the first post, Kies says me i have this:
PDA:KI8 / PHONE:KI2 / CSC:KI1 (HUI)
and i've hacked my phone with this: CF-Root-SGS2_XW_NEE_KI8-v4.3-CWM4
My phone is branded with 3 Italy.
If you have some solution or require further data, ask me, i'll respond you soon

Re-flash to stock kernel or buy a jig.Good to have if your going to flash, just incase you need to send your phone away.Look-up bin counter and see why.
Hell oeverybody. I have re-flashed with original branded firmware.
After good flashing with odin, my phone continue to show the operator logo and Samsung "S" logo each 20 seconds.
It's about 20 minutes and it don't boot completely.
It's normal and i have to wait or somethink is gone wrong? thanks in advance.
This is called bootloop. There is a very good thread in this forum on how to resolve this. Just search it. Sorry I cannot search for you as I am on mobile.

Hi all,
Have a really bad problem, just rooted a galaxy s 3 for a friend, i've rooted many, he was on 4.1.1 i used the toolkit as i've used it before.
The root process worked well and now the phone boots up, makes a sound and then doesn't show anything on the screen.
Now nothing comes on the screen at all although it does make a boot sound (the samsung logo noise) the only thing i get on the screen is the galaxy s III logo and a small red exclamation mark up the top left.
Really would like to get this back on.
My friend bought it from singapore, although it is a i9300.
I can get to recovery and i can also get to download mode.
Any ideas?
If it is a I9300 then factory reset from recovery or flash a stock rom .

Actually sorted this now, I used the older toolkit and it caused this issue. Wiping it wouldn't have helped.
Used the new toolkit and all is well again.

I'm suffering the exact same problem (likely for the same reason - used older version, although possibly just because I messed up on my own).
@dladz, or anyone else who might be able to help, could you please give me a pointer on where to go after downloading the newer toolkit. I have a vague idea but I imagine it would be better to ask at this stage before I really mess it up myself.
If anyone could help you'd be a life saver
---------------------
Edit: After prodding around and "fixing" it I thought I'd leave this information for other noobs so they don't ask the same question/harass dladz like myself.
Simply boot up holding the vol down and home button, connect via USB and open Odin.
From there make sure that only Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time are checked.
Click PDA and select C:\Samsung Galaxy S3 ToolKit\root\GT-I9300\boot-stock-ella-GTI9300.tar (From the toolkit - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1703488)
Hit start and wait for the square on the top left to turn green and say pass. The device should reboot and be work again. As I'm a retard you may decide not to follow these instructions for your own safety and the safety of your device, however it worked for me.
Apologies for being a pain in the arse, I'll go back to lurking quietly and I'll try not to break anything else.
So this morning and last night my phone was working perfectly until it decided to reboot, but since then it endlessly reboots show the the "Galaxy SIII GTI9300" screen. It comes up, goes black, then it shows it again. Ive looked around for other fixes but i can't enter my recovery or download mode. When entering into recover, it works for about 1 second then the phone reboots so I am unable to do anything, I can enter download for a few seconds but pressing the volume up or down to continue doesn't do anything.
I am using foxhound 2.4 and Siyah 1.9.1
I don't have an overclock, I've tested another battery so I know that isn't the issue.
I haven't done anything to it so I can't think of a reason it would be doing this. How can I fix it?
looks like sds
Any fix for it? I can't access recovery or download mode and my PC doesn't pick up my phone, should I take it in for repairs? Will they repair it with the custom ROM and kernel?
send it in, looks like it's the only option
From what I've read about SDS, I am by no means an expert, you wouldn't even be able to interact with your phone. The fact that you see the boot logo means that it isn't SDS. I am not sure what I'd do though, as you cannot enter download mode and flash a stock ROM from there.
If you send it in to service, I guess they will find out about the flash counter and modified status and all, and you would have to pay. On the other hand, if that is what it needs it might be worth it.
Sorry I'm not more helpful...

have you read the post? he can't access recovery or download
Well it just seems to get worse, I no longer get the boot screen anymore, now nothing happens, my phone doesn't even come on, when i plug my phone into the charger it gets the same endless reboot loop but insteast of the "Galaxy SIII GTI9300" screen it shows he battery logo with a circle in it for a few seconds. If it try access recovery or download it just reboots again. Without the charger nothing at all happens now.
you got the answer
is your phone the 16gb blue version?
if so ... then its really certain. u have sds! and even so its good that phone is trully dead! cause if it trully dead there is no way they'll find out that your rooted and running custom rom

Mije is actuall the 32Gb Pebble, I'm also hoping that it's completely dead though because I honestly can't think of how they would even go about getting the phone to boot since the screen will only come on while on the charger so I doubt they can use anything external, I'm sending my phone in tomorrow

Do the red exclamation point appear at any time?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using XDA Premium HD app
So I sent my phone in for repairs and somehow they managed to fix it and get it back to stock. Before I gave it in I never had a red exclamation. As soon as I rooted it when I got it back it now has the red exclamation. Today my phone entered a bootloop doing the exact same thing but eventually worked. Not sure if it was the ROM. I'm considering flashing back to stock just to be safe. Doesn't seem like I can get rid of that exclamation without doing so. They sorted it out for free. I'm just worried they will say my warranty has been void next time

Is it like this if yes may be ur phone is bricked
The color of the triangle is
either red or yellow. Yellow means something
crashed or the kernel panicked. Red normally
indicates corrupted firmware, corrupted ROM
or no operating system
