[Q] no service message operator after jelly bean - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
Last night I used the guide provided by CNET UK to root and then flash my s3 with jelly bean it is all fine and the phone makes calls browses the internet and seems stable apartment from chrome crashing every 10 minutes but I have a no service message displayed on the drag down screen. I am on tmobile UK and recently before the upgrade it was showing ee. A colleague of mine has had his phone upgraded with an ota update somehow (the reason I flashed my phone was because mine wasn't suggesting an update was available and I'm impatient) is there a way to get the operator to be displayed?
Thanks
Grant

[roaming] voice roaming does not work?

My problem:
I'm a happy user of the HERO, running rooted 2.73 and the latest Radio.
Yesterday, I went abroad (From Holland all the way to Belgium ), but an issue appeared. As soon as the phone changed to a belgian provider, the radio frooze. The whole phone worked, I got full signal according the signal bars, but was unable to call out, receive calls or send/receive text messages. After reboot, the phone kept telling me that my sim was blocked for this provider. I have used this sim in various other phones (BB_Bold, iPhone, Touch Pro etc.) and all worked fine.
What's wrong? Is it a setting?
anybody any ideas?

[Q] Can't make calls

I have looked at all of the threads and here goes...
I can't make phone calls. When I do I get a friendly message saying, "connection cannot be made." It seems to me that there is a disconnect with my provider. The provider is Sunrise Switzerland. Thus I am suspecting that I can make a call, but because I am not officially logged into the network for calling it is not letting me make calls. I am making the assumption that if it was a ROM issue I would not get the pre-recorded message from Sunrise.
Here are the details on the phone:
It is a Sony Xperia with the latest update 2.1 baseband .54. It is a "branded" phone from Orange Switzerland, but completely unlocked. I checked on the branded by looking at the services numbers.
I then modded the phone, and the phone call problems began. I did wipe everything as per the regular instructions. I upgraded using xrecovery. The phone can connect to Sunrise, and per the services menu it states connected to Sunrise. I can use the Internet connection, thus surf, get email, etc. What I cannot do is make a phone call.
Model: X10i
Android version: 2.2.1
Kernel Version: 2.6.29
Build Number: FreeX10-beta4_zdzihu
When I originally started the device I was asked for a network code and dismissed that dialog. Anything to do with it? And if so how do I get it back?
I want to stress that I wiped the machine clean with factory reset, etc, etc...
Because I posted in the wrong forum I got one answer, and followed it.
Namely I installed the Wolfbreak's ROM for my baseband. That just made things worse. I could not even get on my network.
Interestingly I decided to fallback to my original ROM, and on that I cannot make phone calls, nor receive (due to not being on the network), or data does not work. If I restore back to the ROM that I used, namely the Free then data still works, but not calls.
Found the answer and it is bizarre...
Essentially what happened is that my installation of Xperia went correctly. The problem is that I have two sims. The way to use one sim or another was to not have the other phone on. Or at least that is how I was using it.
I phone Sunrise and I told them my phone is activated. He said, "no your other phone is on." I pointed out and he then said to activate my phone. I did as per his instructions and all went ok.
The funny thing is that this was a "bug" in their system that they patched. And the patch JUST happened to be the same day as when I upgraded my phone to the new ROM.
The tech support was nice and cracked up laughing...

[Q] No SMS with photos on Rooted I777 on Tmobile

Have a rooted I777 that is unlocked and running on T-Mobile. I can send and received texts but unable to send or receive messages with photos. Phone has ICS 4.0.4 I777UCLL6 with Siyah I777-V7.9B. I have followed these instructions though they are for older Android version at the support dot t-mobile dot com/docs/DOC-1979 . If I send a message it takes a few mintues then I get a response "REJECTED" on my ATT phone. If I try and send from unlocked/rooted phone with Issue it just shows "Sending" on the photo for ever.
Thanks,

[Q] upgrade from 4.0.4 to higher

I have a samsung galaxy pocket s5301 running android 4.0.4. I would like to know if it is possible to upgrade it to a higher version.... how??? thanks
My other problem is I get messages from my mobile operator every time I disconnect the phone showing the available balance. Earlier these used to come as flash messages but now they come straight to my inbox which is very annoying. How do I change them to flash messages? I contacted my operator but they said this is a handset problem..

[Q] some SMS not received on Samsung SIII i9300

I have this problem with my Samsung S3 i9300, running on it's stock ROM, the phone functionality is fine. (not using on data network or wifi)
Means phone calls are able to be made and received without any problems.
SMS can be sent and received as well, but sometimes, messages are not received!
I've switched the SIM to another phone, and then all the messages are coming in...
I've changed the SIM to a new one but still the problem remains.
Later on, I've flashed the phone to another ROM (S4 Revolution). It was working for awhile then it's happening again.
Now, running on CyanogenMod 10.1.3, it's been fine for awhile until yesterday, with over 5.3k of SMS, certain messages aren't coming in again.
Have any one of you had this issue before? I mean SMS is like the most basic function in a phone and it's not perfect on my S3!
For the record, the application there aren't any application installed prior to that problem, and there are more than 1gb of memory available.
I guess formatting the phone or resetting it would help, or clearing all of the SMS, but would I need to do it everytime? hmmm...
