1. I believe sbf files are specific to Motorola phones

hi, i have a samsung galaxy s2 version 4.0.3 and with kernel version UHLPK, im new at this and i want to now how can i root my phone, can some one give me a tutorial or tell me how to do it.

I don't know... Try google. But seriously, it's a step by step list of what to do. If you're unsure, maybe you shouldn't be rooting.
Why do you want to root anyways? If you can't answer that question with a valid reason, maybe you shouldn't be trying to root in the first place.

i think i made it, thx
help me please i buy my sgs2 from china and in this phone i cant use android market so i want to change my ics from chinese to europien one but the thing is after i do it it will able to get reguler updats from kies???? and for this i have to root my phone? and without root i can do it ?and other main and importent thing is please tell me the whole processes how to it odin and europien rom from where i get the best one and how i do it step by step please reply soon .............................................................thanks in advance

- use *#1234# to confirm if your device is the original galaxy SII.
- Rooting instructions on that thread is old, you will sure find better threads. Just search.

Your first problem is, you can't read or follow simple instructions.
Goto the thread link in my previous post, go to the first page and follow the instructions carefully
You don't need root to do what you are looking for.

Hes basically wanting spoon fed.He abandoned his first thread,and a guy kindly offered to help him via pm in his second thread(god knows if he took up the offer).

Basically in Australia with Telstra and I have one of there branded phones. I'm wanting to upgrade to Jelly Bean the stock one from Samsung but have 3 questions.
1) If I have a i-9300T can I flash with the firmware from Direct from Samsung for the I-9300?
2) Will I then receive my updates from samsung instead of Telstra?
3) Can someone please point me in the right direction as to where I obtain the right firmware and also Odin?

yes, i am a noob. Now thats out of the way. I would simply like to know the proper steps to unlock my galaxy note 2 sgh-i317 for at&t i already have downloaded both kies and odin307 however i cant find a single place to download the firmware! And after that i am stuck....i would really appreciate the steps as im tired of at&t n would like to switch to another carrier without getting another phone...thank you in advance

I recently soft broke my GS5 active and was wondering if anyone knows if samsung will either 1. If by request allow me access to a stock firmware or 2. Be able to send my phone in and for a fee have the firmware reset? I'm just brainstorming at this point and am a bit desperate any feedback or advice would be helpful.

I have not been able to. Could be i'm just stupid and dont know how to find it but if im correct my model phone is sm-g870a and I can not find that anywhere please if you know anyone who can help id greatly appreciate it.

Thank you but ive already checked there unless informed otherwise I believe my model # is sm-g870a if that is correct then they do not have my firmware available. Whats more important at this point for me is if anyone could answer whether or not samsung may release or fix my phone at special request or is that unheard of?

you can try giving it to samsung care
but if your warrenty is void then they will not accept your phone
