[Xperia U][ROM] ICS UK Sony Official 6.1.1B.1.10 - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

ST25i_6.1.1.B.1.10_UK 1262-0728
As in title, this is the official Sony firmware from SEUS/PC Companion downloaded today. SI 1262-0728 (UK Sim Free handset) - I know some people have been looking for ICS with this ID. Due to size of file I can only share as a torrent as it would take me over my sites bandwidth limit within a day easily. If anyone can provide a proper link please feel free to upload, but PM me so I can add the link to this post. File is a .ftf so you need to use the excellent flashtool to flash to your phone.
Torrent Link
Torrent (Please continue to seed)
This firmware is untouched from the download and as far as I can tell only has the standard Sony bloat such as music unlimited, etc so no French or Indian apps to un-install.
EDIT: New link (miscalculated my bandwidth allowance doh!)
Download from Tarbyonline server

hey man! just got a qns. hopefully u may be of help.
I recently flash miui rom on my locked bootloader on xperia u. i did not backup my stock ics firmware (nandroid backup) before i flash miui. Now i cannot connect to the mass storage on my phone. Pc companion and SUS is not able to recognise my phone, so i cant use it to flash back to stock ics.
so is there another way in which i can get the stock ics firmware 6.1.1.b.1.10, specific to my country (SINGAPORE) with the SI 1261-4527? So i can flash it via flashtool.

Where did you get the phone from? Mine's a generic UK Xperia U bought from CPW, and that's not my code, we got ICS on like the 20th Oct.

Hi,
Sorry been ill. Phone also from CPW, and my Dads from CPW also has this code so there must be at 2 different codes at CPW. Strange that 2 handsets from the same retailer have different firmware release dates I suppose but this also happened on our Nexus 7's (different code's) which where bought in the same store a matter of days apart.

I tried this Saturday. Works great. What I did!
1. Downloaded and flashed via flash tool
2. Repair using PC Companion
3. Reset phone, deleting storage
works great apart from camera laggy.
Anyone have a generic uk firmware that upgrades to: 6.1.1.B.1.54
TIA

this firmware is bit less lag than other b.10 firmwares. camera bit dark. but little fast-shot. thanks for upload. this firmware isn't have update to b.54

Hey. My phone is unlocked UK sim free ST25i. I want to go back to the exact firmware I got it on. Is this it? Unmodified, completely stock UK firmware?
Sent from my To-Be Bricked U
Have you got a old Xperia sitting around? Bring them to us!

Thanks
Thanks for the official rom.

XPERIA U (ST25i) USB Not Connecting to PC
Hello, i have a similar problem. I have a XPERIA U,unlocked bootloader, flashed with ICS MIUI Custom ROM.
It charges just fine, either via PC Data Cable or Normal Wall Charger.
The problem is that whenever i connect the phone to my PC, it just charges. Nothing more. Cannot flash it, Cannot put files on the storage, nothing.
The USB setting in the phone is set to: Ask on connection. I've also tried the "Mount SD" option with USB Debugging ON or OFF. Nothing seems to work. When i try to flash it via flashtool, it doesn't recognise it as a Download Mode phone (The LED goes Green and then Turns off). How screwed am I ?

Hi think you have an option in SEUS to re-install even if you have the latest version.
When you have this message, you can select "re-install" or something like that.
A popup will warn you that you will lose all of your data.
Hope that help

[Q] Android malfunction...

Now, first and foremost, Hello to the XDA community and this would be my first post. I am having issues with my Xperia Neo V and I can't find a solution for it.
I admit that this is a stupid mistake on my end so let me start my story and I am hoping to get some assistance from a reputable community such as this.
I was installing some games via Google Play and I realized that my phone's internal memory gets full kinda fast as it is where files are saved by default. So, the genius me, tried to remove some stock apps that may contribute to useless disk space using Titanium Backup. All went well and I deleted a couple of stuff and it worked fine then I decided to restart it to factory settings (without doing backup which I regret up until now). I had several malfunctions after it rebooted again:
Whenever I am trying to go to phone book, I am unable to just press the number to make a call. I need to select edit contact first before calling
The middle button (the one with a house Icon, probably called Home Button, does not respond at all so I having a hard time quitting apps
the worst part, I am unable to connect the phone properly using USB. What happens is that when I plug the USB, the charging symbol on the battery bar shows it's charging (like plugged to a wall jack) but the computer does not show anything, regardless if it's Media transfer mode or Mass Storage mode (mass storage shows an empty drive in My Computer). I tried using other usb cables and other memory cards and apparently, it does not work. Other USB cables that works on other xperia neos yeild the same result.
What I was planning to do initially is to update the firmware (currently on 2.3.4), but updating via WiFi shows it's updated, and using the PC Companion does not work.
I know I deleted something that I should not and I'm at a loss. Later, I will attempt to connect my phone in the PC Companion to try and update it to ICS connecting it to my private wifi. Hopefully it would do the trick.
Another work around that Im thinking is to look for someone that does have a backup of the apk files so that I can restore them again in my phone.
Can anyone please assist me on this? T_T
I recommend connecting the device to your PC companion and using the repair option. If that doesn't work, try flashing a stock ROM from either Wotan or get one somewhere from these forums (I'm sure there were a few in the development section)
Good luck

Why don't you just flash an orginal rom (.ftf)?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1678690
And then (after you get what you deleted) you just need to get them into your phone. If you were able to uninstall it, you!re having root. So send it to the phone via bluetooth or download from somewhere via wifi (if the USB doesn't work as you told) and using some file explorer move it to their directory and reboot. I think it should work

~sir...I cant find where that repair option is..
~by the way, the wifi option to connect looks pretty useless, it seems that you need to connect via usb on the "pairing" stage...
Ok here's my idea. Get any stock based rom from the dev page (there's a list in the sticky posts) and male sure it's the proper version. Then download the zip file and open it up. Find system/app or system/data/app or something similar inside the zip. Then simply copy and paste the apps from there to your phone, and don't forget the proper permissions.

If you can put the files into SD card, then use whot venoma333 says and do it through SD card - you can move a lots of files together (for example using ES file explorer).
Or you can try to connect your phone to S(E)US or Flashtool. If it would work, that will be the best for you And I think, that in PCC is some option to "re-flash" your phone (like somebody told here). On the top it says if your phone has the newest firmware version or not. Click on on it and you'll get a window with reapair option
Ok, I'm going to attempt to flash and I reached the xperia website (unlockbootloader.sonyericsson.com/instructions), and based on the instructions, I checked if "Bootloader unlock allowed" is set to yes, unfortunately, my phone says no.. Can I still continue the process??If not, is it still possible to do manual firmware update without unlocking the bootloader?
There is no need to unlock bl for flash process. So forget that page, for now.
You mentioned pc companion, what happens when you start pc comp. and connect your phone(turned on)?
If it doesn't connect to pcc, go to device manager on your pc and tell me how is your phone named there and does it have yellow ! mark next to it?
This is the last thing that I think could possibly work, does anyone know an android 2.3.4 iso nandroid? I think that's the best way to do it for now..I am unable to do the hold back button while restarting, does not work for me

Nothing happens in PCC, it will show that no devices are found. In DM, it shows:
-Sony Ericsson sa0102
|_Sona sa0102 ABD Interface driver
I was trying to update it using PCC, it recognizes the device after I mount the memory card.
What I have done, I restored the system using CWM using this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-1630348.html
It worked, however, since the carrier and model brand is not the same, I was unable make my sim card/carrier to work.
My hope now is to get an ISO file for android version 2.3.4 which is from a generic phone. I live in the Philippines and my carrier is SMART telecommunications.
Apparently, the update from the link is for a Verizon phone
If you want alot of space, use a small ROM. Alot of devs have come up with stock Xperia GB ROMs that are easy on memory. To fix, You'll need to flash the entire phone with a stock ROM. Then flash a custom ROM. Besides that, you do know you can transfer apps to SD.

Sola MT27i 6.0.B.3.184 , 6.1.1.B.1.54 official firmware Central Europe Si1261-7807

Finally, Sony Mobile willing to let go the Sola ICS for Central Europe 1261-7807 , which 6.1.1.B.1.54. IMO this should be tiny bugs fix from the previous 6.1.1.B.1.10.
** This is world generic version, which mean it included most languages
Like previous GB Central Europe, this 1261-7807 built with minimal 3rd party apps (standard like live wallpaper Earth & Echanted forest/OfficeSuite/PlayNow/Top contacts/TrackID/Wisepilot for XPERIA/Xperia SmartTags/McAfee Security -- all removeable), and the Send Usage Info option inside settings/xperia, this option not available on many region.
** Try turn off the both animation, UI will faster - not necessary if you perform a factory reset which all data settings will be gone
- Its recommended perform a factory reset, to make sure the newer version OS not slow down by any app & app data from previous OS. After factory reset, 6.1.1.B.1.54 is certainly much smoother & better than previous 6.1.1.B.1.10. :good:
- you can disable recommender/all facebook/anonymous usage stats/ + whatever you not using inside Settings/Apps/ALL, this suppose to save up certain resources
- battery life part, no comment yet as it take few charged for monitoring.
( update I, .54 ICS battery life reading seem more accurate instead of "any better way to serve in .184 GB. Also, if you just using messaging apps, its recommended switch to GSM ONLY, this will help on less consume battery life. )
( update II, Extended Standby Mode. This ESM just eat up more battery juices instead of saving as every couple mins it need to execute command disable the data network after your Sola screen off & idle sometimes (say 5 mins?!), the theory just like those auto task killer apps, the more it ran, the faster your Sola battery drain up, yet the scenario is its looping. )
- a bit weird, after .54 ICS updated battery charging time seem goes longer than .184 GB. Probably the battery reading 'more accurate' ?!

Hello everyone,
I have rooted my MT27i using Doomlords kernel. Bootloader is unlocked too. Will I lose root access once I flash this new .184 ROM using Flashtool?
Thanks!
@irontech; I had the same problem. Make sure phone is off, insert USB cable holding down vol up/vol down (forgot which one). Phone will boot into flash mode. Now you have exactly 5 secs to install drivers from android SDK. This is quite hard, but it can be done. I did it in two steps. Leave device manager open, boot phone into flash mode. Once you see the device, quickly double click it and choose driver location. DO NOT hit install yet. Instead disconnect phone, turn it off and restart it in flash mode again, after that you can hit install. Phone should now be recognized and stay on. Good luck!

[Q] xperia ray stuck after sony update

Hi, I have a orange network locked xperia ray st18i locked bootloader. I downloaded pc companion and did a software update and all went well. The phone booted up fine after the update until I shut it down and since then I have been unable to get passed the SE screen. It just hangs there. I am able to enter flash mode by pressing the down button and plugging the usb in. Tried phone repair option and still no jog.
Today I tried to unlock the bootloader using the pin touching menthod but that didnt work either. Said something like fatal error....
I need to unlock the bootloader to try a alternative rom to see if that works or revert back to the stock orange rom it came with but im cannot find this anywhere. I am a learner so any advice would be helpful. CAn anyone suggest a rom for the ray that can be installed using flash method WITHOUT unlocked bootloader? I am a **** for doing the uprgrade via sony website but I didnt think this would happen. should have left it as it was.
Thanks for reading.
Take your battery out and try reflashing again using SEUS.
Thread moved to Xperia Ray Q&A.
Yes I have tried that many times already and it finishes the update correctly but still hangs on the SE logo when turned on. I tried again just to see if anything has changed. When I connected the phone whilst pressing the down vol button it recognised it and said your phone already has the latest software but I re installed anyway. No change in result though.
Sony have asked to send the phone to repair and they will reply with a quote for fixing it. Has anyone used this service before and how much can i expect to pay for a software install? Repair office is in Ashford, kent.
thanks

It's not as hard as you may think
Use this to create the ftf, it's step by step. If you can't/don't want to do it I can't help you because I have no orange firmware

thanks for the reply. When I did my upgrade it went through fine so I am assuming I alraedy have the new firmware on my phone. The problem is making it work. Why does my phone just stop and hang on the SE logo? are you telling me my original orange firmware is still in my mobile?

HAD YOU READ THE FIRST PART OF MY GUIDE YOU WOULD ALREADY KNOW. Had you even read the stickys in the General section you would have found one.
Right so I created the .ftf file from the three update files. Ive downloaded x10 flash tool. I connect the phone and flashtools registers that a phone is connected then start the flash but soon after the phone just gets disconnected.
any idea's?

Download the latest flashtool (I guess it's 0.9.x) and install it. Go to the drivers folder and install all the drivers for all the phones and modes. Now you launch flashtool, but don't connect the phone! Click on the flash -> flashmode -> select the ftf and don't exclude anything (you have the ability on the right site).
Now click OK and the screen to connect the phone in flashmode appears. Shut down the phone, wait 20 seconds, hold volume down and while holding volume down connect the phone to PC.
Wait until the flashing process has finished and hope it'll start!

Thanks for guiding me and yes it finally flashed BUT the phone still hangs on the SE logo when booted up. I read somewhere on here another member had the same issue and it turned out to be the bandwidth???
What should I try now?

Sony Xperia S Bricked

I was using XZXperience 2 on my Sony Xperia S, and then sony companion detected that i had firmware 6.1.A.1.45 and 6.1.A.55 was available, so just to give it a try, I installed that update, but that is a failed update, it says unfortunately music player stopped working, or unfortunately xperia keyboard stopped working etc. The main problem is that my system does not recognize my XS anymore, it says USB Device Not Recognized, so I cant connect it to Flashtool or PC Companion for repair. The Sad part is that I cant even connect it in Flash Mode, I tried a hard reset by using power button and volume up buttons, but no use. I should mention that once it recognized my phone when i turned off my laptop and removed its battery too, after restarting both phone and laptop, flashtool detected that phone was connected with USB Debugging OFF, though it was on, but as a try, I unchecked USB Debugging and then checked it again, and it worked. Now my Xperia S was connected in USB debugging mode, I tried to install busybox, rooted it, and tried to install CWM recovery, flashtool said that busy box was installed and phone was rooted, but it could not install recovery and I used another tool to install recovery, which had a bat file and it installs recovery automatically. But it didnt. After restarting my phone, the same issue appeared again, My PC does not recognize my Xperia S, tried previous procedure several times, but no use. Cant even repair it as my set cant go in flash mode. What can I do? have I bricked my Xperia S? I`m in Pakistan and there is no official Sony Mobile franchise as they dont launch their flagships in Pakistan. Please help me, considering I`m used to with rooting, flashing etc. How can I connect my phone in flash mode? Thank you.
Thanx

It looks like another strike from the productors. They usually send you malicious updates which cause your device to stop working. This only happens to rooted phones which run custom roms. And since the rooted users only flash their roms in zip format, sending an OTA update patch(designed for stock rom) to a custom rom can only lead to a malfunction. I am not sure whether or not sony did that on purpose, but the truth is that after installing a custom rom NEVER do OTA updates(unless they are from the rom's developer).
If you want an update check your rom's thread and there may be new flashable versions.
As for making your device work, the only thing you can do is to call technical support or go to a phone service(in my country they are called gsm services, and they fix mostly everything, both hardware and software. Some even claim to be able to fix water damage) but given that your warranty is voided, you will have to pay for the reparations. I guess they will only do a re-soft(delete everything, and install the stock version, you may lose your root, i am not sure here.)
I hope this helps, this is how we fix things like this in our country, so it will work in your case too, hopefully.

Thanx for your advice. I was almost hopeless, but after spending continous 16 hours, I`m now able to get a solution. I got another data cable, removed battery of my laptop, and made a hard reset to my phone, and after 10-15 min I tried again, and Thanx GOD, it detected my phone, so I hurriedly start repair my phone option and connected my phone in flash mode which was successful and that was not less than a miracle, because i`ve been repeating same procedure and it was not working, this time luckily it worked, now i`m using stock rom with firmware 6.1.A.2.55. Now I would either wait for official Sony JB Update or I would flash a custom ROM XZXperience 2, which I found awsome, as it had no bugs, and it improved battery and sound quality was significantly imrpove + Bravia Engine 2 with improved graphics. I would ask users to not to give up hope, there is always a solution to every problem.

Get a new data cable, fortunately almost all phone now a days have same data cable, u can try data cable of some HTC, Samsung, Blackberry or even Iphone`s data cable. Secondly, u must turn off your PC, and remove its power source, if it is laptop then also remove its battery. Then after 5-10 minutes, turn on your PC and connect the phone. Also try installing drivers, which u can by using PC Companion. You can also install drivers by using FlashTool. Download it and extract it, then go to the installation folder and look for folder "Drivers" open it and u will see an exe file. Just run it and select Xperia S and follow the instructions.
maybe not new usb cable sometimes usb port is broken
Hey, I had the same problem a few time ago, you can try to restore with flashtool, if you can still get in to flash mode

There's nothing strange: you are using a custom kernel and you have locked bootloader
It's impossible it could work
You need to flash official stock rom to boot up

Since you CAN'T use custom kernels with locked bootloader (and so, no cm10)
You only need to flash stock rom and then relocking your bootloader

I am also having the same problem
I have sony Xperia S. I updated to the latest stock firmware version(6.2.B.1.96). after this update I rooted my phone using old kernel .200 and update the firmware's kernel again to stock after that I locked the boot loader again. Now I can't use memory stick that I used to use before with OTG cable. And now, if I am trying to enter flash mode by pressing volume down key, the led turn green for a while only about 10 sec while this was happening, my pc say that USB device not recognized. So, now I can't use flashtool or sony update service tool(SUS) as well.
Now I am using stock .96 rom with no error but I want to install CWM and also want to unlock boot loader again to test some custom roms.
Pls help me what I have to do and what should. I am now in Delhi.

To unlock the bootloader you need to enter fastboot (blue led) with vol+ during the boot, not vol-
Or you can also reboot the phone from adb with
adb reboot bootloader
If phone still doesn't stick to fastboot, it has to be a driver problem
There are lots of guide on the procedure (which is really hard on windows 8)

Yes i use windows 8.1

Yes I use windows 8.1
now. I can't use memory stick with OTG cable but I can only use mouse or keyboard with OTG cable. I don't know why?
I can access fastboot mode but I can't access flash mode. pc said that device not recognized. so, I think it is device error.

Bricked my phone - please help!
Hi,
I think I bricked my Xperia S. I already had cyanogen 10 on my phone, so I thought I could just flash the new Cyanogen 11 4.4.2 ROM and GAPPS over top. I followed the instructions but I skipped the Fastboot step. I cleared the cache and system and then went ahead with the ROM and GAPPS. Once the ROM and GAPPS were installed, I selected "Reboot" and the phone turned off and now it won't boot at all. If I hold the power button, I get a faint vibration and if I hold the up volume and power I get the 3 vibration sequence but no boot. Please help!
This is what I was using:
