Recently bought an android phone hoping it was on ICS 4.0.3 as it states in the About Phone. Just read through a forum @ forum.china-iphone.ru/viewtopic.php?t=24021 that it wasn't. Is there any hope this device can be rooted at least? I'm having a lot of apps which can install from Google Play but aren't working properly sometimes downright shutting down (ie. Temple Run). I even get the error 498 while trying to download some apps. Hoping you could help me root it.
Here's some more details about this phone.

Micromax A52 Root - unable through unlock Root
I tried with Unlock root but error message
" FAIL TO GET SHELL ROOT "
Please Help
Last way is super one click and after that there is no one that will help because their is rarley any developer buying this phone and no one is ther to help you and bring up the trick or make a tool. Just go for super one click then because it is your last chance. Micromax Hindustani company hair Jo vagaries keep developers hack magic large sake. You are lucky only if super one click works
No luck.... It seems that this fone was patched up, since I brought this small beast and tried numerous ways to root it.... But alas in vain....
Following were the methods tried:- GingerBreak, Super one click, Unlock root, z4root, zergrush, psenuter... Knowing that some of these do not support 2.3.6 version.
I am going to try the SP flash method, but as I'm having Linux can't work on it as of now... will sit on weekend to do this.
Also can someone help me out to make a full backup of fone without root privileges.... i.e. how to extract boot.img/system.img etc...
Edit: Don't know how to put this fone into Download mode, somehow the company has provided Recovery mode with limited options.... hope some seniors can put light on this...
There is a way to root micromax a50 and you can try that
it may brick your device so only people who love risks should try this
here is the link

i bought a samsung galaxy y as it has a big community which micromax doesn't have
Yes, this is the method I will be trying on weekend... hope this works out well... don't mind getting the fone bricked
Nice thing buddy you are daring to do this
Yup, bought this fone with intention to do the r&d and learning...
Mistakes give great results... J
help Rooting A52
Hi I need to Root My A52 can u please help Me out I've tried everything so far nothing has worked >>
Error trying root micromax a52 using micromax a50 rooting method
No success
This is an unlucky move. It means that a50 move won't work. We need a different boot.IMG for this phone. Different kernel required.
Yeah, I too tried n got the same message... tried changing the scatter file too. But of no use...
Still no luck, anyhow found a chinese website which roots our MT6575 based cellphones having android gingerbread 2.3.6/ Ics 4... {They are having limited models}

Any other way to root the device
Hi all,
This is my first post on the forum so iI would appreciate if the moderators reallocates this in case I am in the wrong forum.
I bought a Verykool S735 running Android 2.3.6 yesterday. This is my first Android phone and I decided to try using Android with an unexpensive phone before deciding to leave iOS definitely and buying a more complete/expensive Android device.
Well, I am trying to root the phone but every method I have tried so far is useless (tried using Simple One Click, installing stuff like Z4root and so).
Can anyone help me to get this phone rooted? Please let me know if you need more details to answer.
Thanks a lot for your help,
any help with that?
I need to root my s735 too, as it has whasapp preinstalled as system app, and dont let me upgrade or delete it.
if you got luck with a answer please tell me...
cheers,
necao

You could try one of these tools to root this device:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=45002975#post45002975
If any of them doesn't work you could use SuperOneClickv1.7-ShortFuse or SuperOneClickv2.3.3-ShortFuse.

1 yes you can
2 so many do a search
3 no you cant update your phone if it is rooted
3.1 but you can update it by unrooting it temporarily using an app superuser
4 1 rooting will void your warranty
2 do it as clear as per the instructions for rooting else you will soft brick your phone you can unbrick that but take precautions
that's all take a risk friend
hey I'm sure it gets old us newbies asking what you seniors consider stupid questions, but I own the Galaxy Note i717 that was rooted but running stock rom and kernel, I just done the update to 4. 1. 2 and lost root and I live in a new town and state and do not have access to a computer at this time and ofcoarse the library will not let me download the software to be able to root and I have tried every one click method out there including poot debug apk files and still nothing. if anyone knows of any way of rooting without p.c that I could use please share. Or if someone knows if chainfire has a 1 click method to root my phone. So please don't tell me to read because I have done nothing but read for the last 4 days as I am retired. And I am now desperate thank you so much for your time in advance and any helpful answers that you could give I have been reading these forms for a very long time now and this is the first question I have asked , there is so much great advice from everyone on this site and again thanks so much in advance.

Your best bet is to borrow a friend or family member's PC and get it over with, it'll probably take you 2 minutes to root it.
Hello!
I'm using tablet Asus Zenpad C7.0. Model Number P01Y, Android version 5.0.2.
I want to root this device. I have tried two different ways: Kingo Root software and Dingdong but all failed.
Please everyone help me!
Thank you so much.
Regards.
Danny.
Please help me .
Thanks.
Actually really interested in the topic as well, using p01z, really want to root it to get rid of the bloat and possibly if there is a way get an ozon or cay. to run on it, spent several days on the net and have tried several methods including the above mentioned everything failed. Surprisingly there is no info on P01Z anywhere... like zenpad does not exist lol
Waiting for this also
Should we assume this just isn't going to happen? I don't know enough to figure it out myself.
same here just tried without luck
I have no experience at rooting at all, but I tried using the adb debugger and figured out a way to monitor the tablets' data.
Although it didn't help me, I'm still looking for a way to root my new ZenPad C7.0.
So this really isn't going to happen?
I'd really like to root this device but I'm having no luck in doing so..
I tried the method described here but with almost all combination, it still does not work. I get a fastboot remote unknown command.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/intel-android-devices-root-temp-cwm-t2975096
So my conclusion is that there is no known method exist now. Some of the hits one got from searching the internet are bluff and fake.
Any Luck? Asus ZenPad C 7.0 P01Z
Anyone in this thread alive? Or is it dead??
I recently purchased the Asus ZenPad C 7.0 P01Z and am looking to root. I tried "Kingo ROOT" and got no luck. Did a little bit of investigating and it looks like it may be the Bootloader that is preventing it from properly working. Trying to "Unlock the bootloader" and running again. Not sure if it will work, but figured id ask anyone here.....
Please let me know if anyone here has any luck.... I really need to get this thing to perform better. Overclocking is my goal... any other advice on how to improve performance is welcome as well! Feel free to message me here or email me (best way to reach me) at either:
[email protected]
and/or
[email protected]
Thanks everyone!!!

That guide is for both kingo root and ding dong which the OP lists as non fuctional. I have also tried king root (both PC & APK versions without success).
I believe this unit cannot be rooted anytime soon. Better to find another device that is rootable.

Well, i don't really understand Russian but by the video what we can assume is that he's factory resetting it. In the second part of the video at least, we can see that he is using Kingroot to root the tablet.
Hey good news I've officially working on the root,
I will be using the sdk manual method.
I will also upload the files on XDA.
I will also need time to do this because I don't want to brick my tablet.

Agreed, thanks so much Kibs. Really appreciated; I picked up this tab the other day in the sales and the battery life is pretty poor thanks to all of the crapware and such. I cannot wait to load up Titanium and remove it all! Thanks again buddy.

hi guys still trying to do everything I can
it is harder than I expected
I tried to use the method for ASUS Zen pad 8.0 because its root has been released.
But when I tried it wouldn't work
so wish me luck again
*IF YOU WANT TO JOIN IN THE FUN IM GOING TO UPLOAD THE ROOT METHOD WHICH IS USED FOR ZENPAD 8.0*
F.Y.I
THIS METHOD WON'T BRICK YOUR DEVICE
YOU CAN FIND THE INSTRUCTIONS ON GOOGLE FOR ROOTING ZENPAD 8.0
IF YOU DO THE METHOD YOUR DEVICE WILL GO TO BOOTLOADER MODE SO TO SWITCH TO NORMAL MODE
PRESS THE VOLUME DOWN BUTTON AND POWER BUTTON TOGETHER. THE DEVICE WILL BOOT TO NORMAL MODE.
Kibs, did you manage to get into recovery? The triggers I am using does not seem to be working. "unknown oem command".
Also, I'm stuck on what is presumably Fastboot (green background with the Android). Pressing power down + power doesn't allow me to boot into normal mode.
