Sooner or later we will receive the 2.1 update fox x8 and may need to debrand to get it a little bit sooner. For this we will need some database of build.prop files for different regions/operators. I could not find such information so here is part of the information from my build.prop:

Post build.prop from this firmware who have downloaded
Root works fine .. :good:
looking at build.prop it is exact KTQ which is carrier free.. this may just add some language / bloat and csc
So they uploaded a new firmware only to add some launguage etc. ?

Hi,
I have flashed this ROM successfuly on S5830 Ace using Odin PC, and appart from a few usual lags, it works great ! (Merci Free !)
However, I tried flashing it using the experimental Mobile ODIN port which brings support for Galaxy Ace (S5830), but after following the exact instructions posted, my Ace reboots a few times as expected ... but reboots back into the old ROM as if nothing had happened oO At least it isn't bricked ...
The Mobile ODIN port for S5830 is posted here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2029180, and since I'm a newcomer to the forum I can't post my problem there yet
Does anybody else experience this wierd behavior ?
Do note I haven't tried flashing other ROMs with it yet since I'm mainly concerned about this particular one for the moment.
Edit : I had root enabled before flashing. And just in case it rings any bells, I'm flashing this ROM over itself to restart from scratch, ie:this ROM is already installed on my Ace via Odin PC.

if you did the Odin flash correctly and the problem still persist. maybe there's a problem with the ROM. try flashing the Spanish ROM same as this.
I suggest you flash a custom ROM. faster than stock ROM. and theres a lot of customization options for it.
welcome, BTW.

Cheers ijustzeke, I'm glad to be here
I tried flashing another ROM from sammobile, it failed the same (they're in proper .tar.md5 format since they work via Odin PC) ... until ...
... I flashed the Cyanogenmod 7 ZIP via CWM. Then, I was able to reinstall MobileODIN and flash the stock rom over CM7, this is wierd ...
Thanks for the tips anyway, I'll post my problems in the dev thread when my profile matches the requirements, cheers !

If I have updated the device to the latest stock ROM available via OTA, the baseband should have been already updated, right?
Thank you.
Please have a look under Settings --> about device --> baseband version. Depending on your carrierer and country the newest baseband is not always provided.
New modem added and all modems made flashable via TWRP.
would you please provide that for the t580 as well or is it the same?
As far as I know the 580 has no SIM card and therefore no modem to update. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Confirm! Flashed TWRP-Flashable-Modem_T585XXU3BRF1_21.06.2018 without any Problem.
Thanks...
New Modem T585XXU4BRI1 added.
New modem T585XXU4CRJA & stock rom mirror for OREO added.
Thanks for the link to 8.1 I think that we'll need Odin3_v3.13.1 to install this firmware though. Haven't tried with lower version yet but with the LZ4 files inside the firmware won't work without the Odin3_v3.13.1 . About to install the firmware. btw where is the link for the proper twrp? I have the 3.2.3 one from Valera1978 that I hope will work.
Edit: confirming that the latest odin will install 8.1 fine....
Dezember Stock Update added.
TWRP on Galaxy Tab 10.1 (T585) with Oreo 8.1
Then I've tried
twrp_3.2.3-1_sm-t585_29918 which gives only stripes when booting into recovery
Do I have to flash the stock boot/recovery before flashing this one,
or this is broken, as well.
Many thanks for a hint,
Helmut

Is there a reason that you link to an old firmware with a build date from November 2018 when there is a build from February 2019 with a more up to date Securty Patch Level? It really doesn't matter for which country / carrier the rom was build you can always install and use it.
Just for comparrison:
Country Iran
Version Android 8.1.0
Changelist 14669859
Build date Mon, 19 Nov 2018 05:42:27 +0000

Product code THR
Country Bulgaria
Version Android 8.1.0
Changelist 15497690
Build date Tue, 26 Feb 2019 09:43:50 +0000

Corrupted stock rom archive?
I tried to unpack the stock rom with WinRar or WinZip but could not extract the archive.
WinRar: "The archive is corrupt" (CRC failed in AP and HOME_CSC).
WinZip: "Data error" in AP and HOME_CSC files.
I even downloaded twice, just to make sure that it didn't went wrong in the process.
Am I doing something wrong or the archive is damaged?

Hi, have you tried this method? The update package contains only update.zip file . I tried to flash your update via HuRupdater, but after successfully flashing my phone stay on previous build number - 8.0.0.321, imo due to missing hw and data files.
But maybe I'm wrong
I've already tried and using it.
It's ok. Firmware version is store in oeminfo partition and it's not be updated.
