I m fully disappointed from Samsung galaxy s3 because it's not smooth as I want,
I was happy on stock ics.. it's animations was very smooth like transition, opening..
I always install firmware via Odin with by wiping data and settings..
I feels like sticking smoothness in animation..gallery is also not smooth...
I like smoothness than quick response...

Install nova launcher, you can switch to ics animation via nova settings / look & feel / app animation / icecream sandwich.

You can use nova with touchwhiz theme, that runs very smooth and you have the stock look too.

I'm sorry, but these suggestion threads just go downhill. You will have to try them out and see.

Now that the sources are released, is it possible to make the Launcher2.apk to work on all devices? If yes, then would someone do it?

+1, i alredy created a thread for this but without any resoults, they all just send me links to themes or clones.

Yeah... i dont want any thenes nor clones... I want the real thing.. i suppose they need to change the framework.. maybe make it compatible w/ CM7..

So we need a dev to do it.

I don't think it's possible.. I mean look at Gingerbread, nobody except for the Nexus S really had it..
Yeah there were lots of lookalikes on the market but nothing really had that smooth 3D app drawer.

Actually, didn't we have an Official Gingerbread Launcher on the market?

Yeah but if you enter the app drawer you'll see it's lacking the smooth 3D effect that the real one has
NAAAAAAh thats wrong. On my Xperia Play the Gingerbread launcher is perfect, icons are not blurry at all and completly smooth, it is just perfect. Also GB Launcher and and ICS launcher are very differen. there is no 3d app drawer in ICS.
It can probably be ported to Gingerbread, but they are using some of the new Ice Cream Sandwich APIs so it is going to take some work. Some things like widget resize, widget preview and animation stuff are not available in Gingerbread so it might not be possible to port all functionality.
Hmmm thats not nice to hear. Anyway, even without widget priviw it would be awesome.

I'm actually using the latest 2.3.7 Launcher2.apk from sources on my SGS with 2.3.5.
buttery smooth.
Please suggest any Good ICS Lockscreen other than Golocker and widget locker!!!
They both, doesn't give proper animation....

I wanted a "original" ported ICS lockscreen for stock rom ace

Strongly suggest searching for 360 launcher, installing it and using its built in lockscreen function with the Android 4.0 theme.
It is shockingly smooth and fast. Also you dont have to use 360 launcher as default, after enabling the lockscreen, you can use ADW or anything else

What do you mean? I find it the best upto now.. no lags and no freezing. Widgetlocker is fine but sucks up battery. Milocker is fine too but it lags. Golocker needs Go launcher to be used as default. So i stick with 360

Holo is the best hands down...
I'm looking to switch from ICS-Crumble (it is AOKP based) I LOVE ROM Control. What ROM can offer similar customization? I want to use the Bluetooth patch, as well as working soft button backlights. (I have USA SGP 5.0) Should I use paranoid? What are its downsides? Opinionated replies are welcomed. Thank you.

I use paranoid..did not reset one single time..and its cool that you can combine phone or tablet us and change dpi for every single app and everything you see diferently with out even reseting...and there are themes and stuff rom is a winner in every way if you ask me..if only camera and hw working would be perfect.

+1 for the ParanoidAndroid... I came from CM9 (Jack's) which I had for a quite a long time... I tried a few other ICS roms but ended up back at CM9. But, once I loaded Parandroid, I was hooked... Very polished and quite stable. I am using Holo Launcher even though the stock launcher worked fine for me.
Good luck.
I am also using Paranoid. Very nice.
