Disable screenshot sound - HTC One X+

Hi all.
I know there are 2 different ways of screenshots on our mobiles, pressing power button (sense's default) and pressing power button + volume down (ICS default)
I think ICS is much more useful since the ss appears on notification bar and you can directly share it to someone but it has an annoying capture sound wich plays although mobile on silent mode.
is there any way to disable that sound?
or get default's sense screenshot going directly to notification's bar?
thanks in advance

I am not sure, but I think that deleting one of the audio files in /system/media/audio/ui would disable that sound. I once deleted all the files in there on one of my old phones and it removed all of the UI sounds, such as camera sounds.

But must be root doesnt it?
Well i dont have root

Hi all,
I have the same question. I would like to disable the screenshot sound.
Just got my HOX+. It sounds stupid that I can disable camera shutter sound but not the screenshot one. It is not even technically taking any picture!!
It would be great if anyone could shed some light? I would like to achieve this without rooting as well....
Thanks.

[Q] Phone UI with hangup button?

Hi all,
I'm currently using openfire rom and I'm missing the big red hangup button when I'm talking to someone. I know of the ability to reassign the power button to hangup, and already did, but I found the red button the best solution. Actually, I don't really understand why they put all the useful buttons under a menu when you are actually on a call...
Can some external app fix this?
Thanks
Fabio
maybe you should try cyanogen ? it has a red button, and a few more
I hoped I could avoid using another rom, as I find myself really pleased with openfire.
Still, it can't hurt to try...
Anyone else has any suggestions?
I had the same problem.... It was so annoying that I changed my rom for cyanogen and now I can enjoy My new call screen

I see. How do you like CM? Especially comparing it to openfire?

Disable volume screen unlock

Hi,
I don't like using any security on my phone as it annoys me having to enter a code or pattern everytime I want to look at something. However, I also use my handset as an mp3 player.
When I have the phone in my pocket, I adjust the volume which unlocks the screen and the phone is then unlocked in my pocket. Can you set it so that volume buttons will not unlock the screen but still function?
Thanks

CM10.1 volume

Hi, im abou to flash cm10.1 on my phone but what it always makes me go back to touchwiz is the fact that the volume of ringtones, notifications, phone loudspeaker volume and things like that are always to quiet (even with everything maxed in the settings) and the dsp manager only works for music...
So is there any app or mod that can rise the volume of those things?

Just change the value speaker volume from 57 to 63 in your sound config which is located at system/etc/sound/(file is called m0) and reboot your phone. This will fix your problem, keep in mind that every time you update your phone to latest nightly that you have to change the value again. This is how i do it and it works great
Edit: Btw dont go any higher than 63, because there wont be any sound at all

Feature Request: Do not disturb

I would love to see a do not disturb option in sounds. An option to mute the phone at night (ringtone notification ...) and why not shut down Wifi so battery life can be extended

Maybe not just a not disturb mode, but a profiles menu, as present in other roms

notification duration

Hi I have Moto-E 2nd Gen from Cricket bought earlier this year.
I'd like to increase duration of notification for appointments. Right now if I pick one of the available notifications, it beeps just once with whatever sound I picked (and if I have headphones plugged in but am not actually listening, then I don't hear at all).
Sound is also quite low.
I'd like for notifications to be like alarms, i.e. keep ringing till I do something or at least ring 5-6 times.
Can someone help? Appreciate it
Maybe with tasker? You can make an action to play a beep until you presa a button...
The learning curve of tasker its hard, but totaly worth it

Took a quick look- seems rather intimidating to say the least! But thanks anyway!
