[Q] New Omega - GS3 Phone won't turn on - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello all!!
I've been using Omega 33.1 for a few days. And last two days the phone started to bug a lot. When it was locked screen it didn't wanted to unlock (just black screen) I've had to pull out a battery and power it on, and after few hours again the same happend. Apps also were laggy.
And finaly an hour ago, same happend and since then it want even boot up. It looks comletely dead, it do not even charge. I've tried everything, power key + volume + home, i've tried to charge it (even if it doesn't show light on top)... and nothing...
Is it dead or is the some hardware reset or something?

Try another battery .

SGS 2 suddenly won't boot up

Hi everyone
My SGS 2 won't start anymore
I charged my phone, then went somewhere, used the phone, put it back in my pocket and the next time i looked at it it was shut down and i couldn't turn it on anymore, nothing happens at all.
theres no problem with the battery (it works on another SGS 2)
I rooted my phone and put lightning rom 1.2 on it. i had no problem rooting the phone and its the first rom since stockrom.
What should I do?
So you mean your phone won't boot anymore? There is no Samsung logo or anything?

no logo, no vibration, just black
tried normal startup as well as "vol down, home, power"
Recovery vol up + home + pwr release at splash screen .
You can either try the usb recovery jig though this poster says it does not work but in my view worth a try.

Or take your chance and return the phone under warranty .

Did you try removing battery, replacing and then turning on. I had the same issue yesterday and this worked for me.

I screen capture baseband version is DXKF1, Build number is Gingerbread.DXKF4
Thanks alot man. Truly appreciate if any alternative solution or suggestion?

[Q] Phone is dead, can't turn it on, bricked?

Hi guys,
My Galaxy S2 will not respond, will not power on at all.
I put it on AC charger before I went to bed (like I been doing for a year) and in the morning I was not able to power the beast on.
The phone is rooted, it's on 2.3.4 stock, 8 moths ago I flashed an insecure kernel so I can use BLN, I had the yellow triangle for about 3 weeks and then it suddenly disappeared. Since then I been using the phone with no problem, I haven't made any other software "adjustments".
I tried another charger, I tried other battery, I tried Download mode, Recovery mode, computer USB, nothing works...
What could have happen? I haven't installed any apps lately either.
I forgot, once every like 4 weeks the phone randomly shuts off and will start vibrating, and it's unresponsive until I remove the battery and power it back on.
THANKS
Hi,
Hi rasdaq,
Read this thread below carefully

Be aware that you will lose 2GB of internal space.
Thanks
So I had a bug in my phone? How? I never had ICS ROM.
If I buy a screen broken SGS2 and take the motherboard from it will work? I mean it's compatible with camera , mic, sensors , etc?

Galaxy S3 dead

Hello friends,
Sorry for making a new thread but i am little bit desperate.
I have a problem with my galaxy s3.Last night i left it with 5% battery and in the morning when i wake up the phone was shuted down, nothing special i just thought that the baterry was discharced.I puted the phone to charge and i tried to start it after an hour and the phone was still dead.I left the phone two more hours and the symthoms were the same.
When i say dead i mean that it does nothing,no light...nothing at all.
I have to mention that i tried to start the phone with another baterry and it was still dead.
I tried also to start it in boot mode by pressing power button ,volum up and home button in the same time and the phone was still dead.
What can i do in this case?..
My main problem is that i can recover my phone number that was saved in the phone.I have to tell you that i had my gmail configured on the phone, google play configured but i didn t syncronized the contacts and i am curios if the syncronizatios it is made automaticly ?
What options do I have to recover my data?
Thank you

1.Take out the battery and check that the gold contacts are O.K. then try and boot.
2. Leave the battery charging overnight so it charges fully and try to boot.
3. See if your PC recognizes the phone when you plug it in via USB.
OK try this:
1- take out the battery ( make sure that it still have some juice in it )
2- Keep holding the 3 button combo for download mode ( Volume down + Home + power buttons )
3- insert the battery while holding the 3 button combo.
If this doesn't work then u might have some hardware failure , not sure though.
Good luck > this happened to me before when I was flashing a ROM while the phone was charging but apparently it wasn't and the battery died before It was done flashing.
Same thing happened to my dad's s2 he left it charging overnight and it was dead by morning.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S3 won't turn on after so many ways (Literally dead)

Okay so I have my Samsung Galaxy S3 for about 2 years now and it's having a lot of problems for the past few months. At first it had the sudden death syndrome (when it suddenly shuts down and having that boot cycle on the Samsung logo) and now it's fine. But 4 days ago I was sleeping and forgot to charge my phone. When I woke up and plugged in the charger it was charging just fine. When the battery indicator shows 100% I tried to turn it on and nothing happen. Just nothing. I plugged in the charger back and still nothing. The screen was completely black. No vibrations. I tried to go into the recovery mode and I can't. I've googled some ways including taking the battery out, pressing the power button for a minute and put the battery back in. Still nothing. I've tried like ALL WAYS to turn it back on. I took my battery and put it in my sister's phone and it worked just fine. So I know it's the hardware problem and I know it's not the power button too because I tried to turn it on by using the charger (plug in the charger and pressing the volume down and home button) and still nothing. I don't know what to do because I have so many things in my phone and I don't want to do any factory reset (if possible) by sending it for repair. But if I still have some options please tell me otherwise I have to get a new phone although I really need my old phone back. Thanks.

Does download mode work? If yes have you tried to flash a stock firmware?
Usb jig or repair centre, given the other problems you're best off getting a new phone.
