I recently got the original Razr Maxx a few days later I found out I could get the Razr HD for the same price. I know that the Razr HD Maxx is the best out of all the droid razrs however the budget does not allow for the extra $100. I would like some opinions on whether it would be worth it to exchange the Razr Maxx for the Razr HD. Im not really worried about the cpu power but does the razr hd have a noticeably better screen than the Maxx? Also does the original maxx get much better battery life than the Razr HD? Thanks
I'd go for it! Screen on HD is much better than one on original RAZR, and 2500 mAh battery should give you enough juice for normal usage. Yes, 3300mAh is much better... Don't know for you, but I don't need that much power.
Here's what gsmarena has to say so it's on you to decide, nice HD screen or insane battery...

I'm personally looking forward to the seidio active being out. I had a surface/combo for my Inc and I liked it a lot, but three layers made it bulky. We'll see how two does.
Today I received my anker slim talk 3200. I found myself frequently running to my car to charge during the middle of an outing. I found it unacceptable considering Motorola decided to seal the battery. if you have been on the fence about buying one of these, jump on it. It's 2199 on amazon, about the size of the original Motorola flip RAZR, and puts out .6 amps and has a flashlight! Seems to be well built too.

Hmm... Looks interesting, how many charges do you get out of it? (Even though I have a MAXX, I find myself killing it quicker then normal Heavy user lol

Okay. I just got swiftey. I like it, but the fact that the keys are so much smaller then the stock keyboard make me mad.

Yes I also noticed that, to be honest I never really like Swiftkey. I think that the stock keyboard works very good and is very responsive compared to Swiftkey
Go to SwiftKey Settings > Advanced and you can change the key height there.

Doesn't change it.

It should change the size! On portrait or landscape
It changes only the height, not the width. But, for me I use Swiftkey. I also have Smartkeyboard as well, and I just keep going back to Swiftkey.
It takes some use to getting to, but I've been using it since I had my X2 and I haven't found a better replacement for it yet.
The keys change on ics, weird.

Hi guys!
I have a Motorola Razr Maxx, and a stange situation.
Last nigh when I was sleep, my battery drop down to 50% from 70% - from 10pm to 5am.
Is it possible? (I've installed the MotoCharge program, so I think it's accourate, the steps are displayed in 1%.)
What do you think? This is normal? Because my last phone (Motorola Defy) drops only 3-5% per night.
Btw.: the phone's software is 4.0.4 Official OTA (Asia.Retail).

Thanks for the tip!
I've installed so I wait for the next longer "phone sleep".
Btw I have 14% Kernel usage in AppSucker. Is it normal? Because this is the highest percentage on the list.
Kernel is at 13.7% for me right now, so yes.

Running stock Gingerbread ROM (PH85IMG_Ruby_TMOUS_1.36.531.6_Radio_1.07.550L.04DC_30.64.550L.07_release_219373_signed.zip)
Phone is completely back to stock (S-ON, ***LOCKED*** bootloader, etc.)
Up since charged two days ago. Stock OEM battery, too. What do you guys think?
Where's the screen on time and what were you're usage habits? You gotta be a lot more specific than that.

Your screen was practically never on.
Sent from my HTC_Amaze_4G
It doesen't matter what rom you use, aside from a slight battery savings that can be tweaked, your screen is the biggest battery hog by far. The best thing you can do is dim your screen, with it very dim I've had almost 5 hrs of on time for the screen, average around 2.5-3.
I can also reach 24hrs+ if I keep my screen on for 1 second! /s
The Moderating team is not really a fan of best rom threads because what may be a great rom for one person may not be the same for another because needs and usage will very. So I'm going to close this.
