I've been searching and searching but can't seem to find a straight answer or exactly what I'm looking for. I like Touchwiz (gasp yes) but are there any Touchwiz based ROMs out there anymore being made? It seems everything is AOSP based. I'd love a newer ICS (JB is ok too) based ROM that has the newer Touchwiz (like is on the S3). Can someone please point me to some Touchwiz ROMs that are still being developed? Thanks VERY much!

due to the fact, that i'm personally more involved in developement than porting, i wonder if any experienced porter is interested in porting this ROM to our Galaxy ACE...

Just because it's discontinued, doesn't mean you can't use the r2 version, it's still pretty solid..

By the way Flappjaxxx has an overclocked kernel too but I think he is only bundleing it with his roms. I thought there was a thread for his kernel cause I used it but I cannot find the thread anymore so I am guessing he had it deleted.

The r3 kernel caused endless reboots while on flapjaxx rom. Had to do a restore after trying to reflash r2 ended in a boot loop. Will try again later after work

Well... I'm not sure what it takes exactly to port the CyanogenMod code over to our device, BUT, I do have a linux machine here that I could use to pull repositories and attempt a compile, if someone could point me in the right directions... I assume it's not as simple as "git codebase, ./configure, make clean all" and get a rom zip out the other side... LOL
It is that easy when the device and vendor repos are there, unfortunately, they aren't yet.
All it takes is
repo init -u https://github.com/cyanogenmod/android.git -b jellybean
then, repo sync
Then, add the links to the sources as a manifest xml in .repo/local_manifest.xml (which you'll have to make yourself in gedit). Just follow the manifest.xml for the format. Then, repo sync again and then . build/envsetup.sh && brunch <insertdevicecodenamehere> and it will generate.

my old SGH-i337M was with BELL and she is with ROGER in Canada.
