Thanks!

I noticed that the front camera inverts images when taking still photos (like looking in a mirror, text is screwed up). Is there an option to change this in the camera settings that I overlooked?

Select the picture you want from the Gallery, press "Set", and press "Crop Landscape", and resize your wallpaper.

Scrolling wallpapers DONT WORK with the stock Touchwiz launcher, not even with these apps. Switch to Nova launcher and be free.
quickpic
I saw a recommendation for quickpic in another similar thread. That app worked for me.
In the gallery, when I tilt the phone, the thumbnails tilt with it making it very difficult to select the desired picture.
I managed to disable this in the app drawer when moving an app around but I can't find a way to disable it in the gallery.

Go to application->Manage->All->Camera->Clear Default
If there is no default in the Camera try to find the Third Party Camera Apps then Clear Default
Update:
I missed you, I thought you want to revert back from default

This is how
This requires a rooted phone.
1. Download any root enabled file manager. (e.g. root explorer)
2. Go to system-apps and then delete the default camera app.
3. Take the ucam.apk and place it in system-app.
4. Hold down the ucam.apk which should now be in system-app.
5. Choose permissions and tick:
owner- read write
group- read
others- read
(make sure that the others are not ticked)
6. Press OK
7. Install ucam.apk present in system-app by tapping on it and clicking install.
8. Reboot you phone and enjoy
Plz thank me if this helped.
My question is very short is it possible to prevent camera app to start automatically rotating into landscape with just the icons adjusting to portrait/landscape view? I find this real annoying because not just the pop ups are always in landscape but also it does not start or close smoothly and by the way it looks ugly;
so is it be possible to make the camera start as other apps in that mode I actually hold my phone?

Try this.
Good idea, but does not change anything because what i asked for is a change in the camera app itself will make a video later to show what i mean but nevertheless thanks for the link
