[Q] Bricked X10 mini pro - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

Bricked after attempt to install CM9
I tried to install CM9 to SE Xperia X10 mini pro, I was doing by this article ( ht_p://blog.mx17.net/2012/08/14/how-to-install-android-ice-cream-sandwich-ics-on-xperia-x10-mini-pro )
After running msm7227_semc.sh ( which I changed a bit instead dos2unix I put tr -d "\r" ) here is code ( ht_p://pastebin.com/Dfp7bDb6 )
It stopped on log record 'Done, reboot, please wait'
After it the device has not any reaction, it's turned off.
Next It I tried PC Companion ( from VirtualBox ) and It didn't detect the device.
Flashtool didn't detect device either (in Linux)
I read other topics about bricked device but in most cases phone shows something at display atleast.
So is there any solutions to fix it somehow?
Firmware: 2.1.1.A.0.6
P/N: 1237-6807

Try Sony Update Service to reflash Stock Rom. And this is section for X10i. For your x10 mini pro you have specific section under XDA forum.

Try this. Run Sony mobile update serviceand turn off your phone. Hold back button and plug in usb cable. When update service detect your phone, release back button and follow instructions to the end

It's most popular answer.
I did it as you wrote. But the phone is not detected. May be similar case is there http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=34820784&postcount=6

Have you read this? It's X8 thread, but it should apply to X10 mini/mini pro too. If your manufacturing date is later that 11W29 then most probably your device is hardbricked and only way to repair it is to send it to Sony Service Centre.

Were you able to fix it?
My gf's x10 mini pro has teh same problem.
I see many posts, but no solutions.
My guess is that it's hardware related.
Best regards,

Sony Update
If you did the Sony Update thing and it didn't work, if the phone doesn't charge by any way, then it's hardware problem for sure and the only way is to send it to sony ericksson for repairing.

[Q] Original room x10 mini pro

I'll make a change and needed to get the original rom on this phone, does anyone know how is it possible?
I have a custum rom now in phone.
It is not necessary to get a original ROM, just connect it to your pc, and open PC companion, the software by sony ericsson, and support zone, then repair...
And you'll have the 2.1 back..!!
Is easy...!
Luck..!

[Q] Downgrade

Hello all.First of all I would like to thank all the xda developers whos always hard at work improving our cell phones with bunch of cool programs
Im a complete noob at all this but with your instructions I managed to install GINGERDX on my Sony xperia mini 10a (american version)
Now my problem is my wifi could not find a network now after upgrading my rom. I was able to use my own network when Im here at home when I was running 2.1 on factory xperia
Is there a way to revert back to factory 2.1 like if it came stock on the mini 10 or before I upgraded to Gingerdx?
I might be selling the phone and just wanna make sure that I can downgrade it back to 2.1
Another thing that concerns me is that using my pc companion now when I plug in the phone it doesnt give me the option like charge phone and theres few more options on the screen and cant remember now..lol
Also when I look at the Phones info it says X8 on the model number ,could this be that I downloaded GINGERDX for X8 or both X8 and X10 share the same platform?
Any help is greatly appreciated guys
Thanks in Advance

[Q] x10 mini big problem

Hello, i really need your help to fix my x10 mini.So lets start...Yesterday i wanted to upgrade my x10 to android 2.2. Everything was going well , i rooted the phone, then i bootloaded the phone. But after bootloading there were no service. So i tried to run again flashtool and going to to flash mode (you know, when you need to turn off the phone and hold "back" key while plugging usb cable) and yeah in the middle of the flashtool process i pluged out usb cable and (while green led was still on) i pulled out memory card(don't understand why really -_-). So after pulling out sd card green led just turned off and thats it, phone died! i couldnt turn it on, when i charge nothing happends, when i plug in to pc nothing happends, and few times i tried to detect it with s1tool and restore but even when plug in usb cable while holding "back" key but nothing happends even if i wait holding "back" key for 10min.I dont know what to do my x10 mini just died with absolutely no signs of life. Please, I would be very grateful for your help.By the way i have old school x10 mini (not pro) so i cant take out battery
P.S. sorry for my bad english
If you can't get into flashmode you are going to have it JTagged at a repair shop.
And FYI: You should have relocked the bootloader with S1Tool as soon as you found out you didn't have a signal.
Secondly: Do NOT ever interrupt the flashingprocess...
I guess you'll have to pay for it to get back up and working.

how much do you think it will cost? anyway if i repair it should i try to upgrade again to android 2.2 or 2.3? because being stuck with android 2.1 is bull****, but after this i dont think i want to take that risk again. And im 100% sure after bootloading phone will have no service again and the only way to fix signal is relock with s1tool right? so would it be possible that after bootload i would upgrade to 2.2 and then use s1tool to relock bootloader and i would have service again? would it be possible? And again sorry for my bad english

You can actually upgrade to 2.2 custom rom without unlocking your bootloader. Only if the ROM you choose needs a custom kernel do you need to unlock the bootloader.
And once you've flashed a custom kernel you can't relock the bootloader, that will brick your phone again. Relocking the bootloader can only be done if you're running an original SE kernel.

I have no idea what it costs to repair your phone, never had to do that myself, and even if i had, it will be different from where I am to where you are (probably). As for upgrading: You set out to update your phone to android 2.2 so did you not already choose a ROM to put on your phone? All 2.2 ROMS run on the stock kernel. Look for CM6 ROMs in the x10mini development section (although most download links will be dead by now).
Or look for MiniCM7, you can still get the 2.0.7 version, which runs on stock kernel, from 2.1.0 it needs the nAa custom kernel (just click on the downloads link in the MiniCM7 posts and it will take you to the repository where you can download older versions of that ROM).
There is not much else available for stock kernel on the x10mini unfortunately, although pongnamu is working on a MIUI gingerbread version for stock It's just not available yet.
If anyone cares i tell you what heppend in last couple days.Well first of all i decided to buy new phone instead of fixing old one.I bought lg optimus l7.So anyway today i dont know why but i took my x10 mini to repair shop and i i found out that fixing x10 mini brick is cheap only 30LTL(about 11.5$ ).But i think its so cheap only in my country , if you live in USA ,UK or in any other country it may cost few times more(I dont know that for sure ) and if you send your phone to SE the price may be insane compare to mine.My advice to others who want to upgrade their phones OS, DONT DO THAT BY YOURSELF IF YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING! And actualy x10 mini is kinda outdated so if you want to upgrade OS for only playing newest games and newest apps ,x10 mini wont run them propertly so if you want only to play games and use best apps you should buy a new phone.
P.S. and again sorry for my terrible english

Thank you for the update. It is always interesting to hear about solutions.
And I agree with you, that users should be careful doing things they do not understand.
I always recomend users to read a guide 3 times before they start doing anything, make sure they know what every step is about and why it must be done.
And most important is to make sure what phone model they got, and make sure that ROM/Kernel is made for that model. :good:
Hope users can learn from your expierence. We should have done more to warn about "what not to do" and stuff like that

Just got my U20i back from jtagging (didn't have no repair shop at hand,so I had to send it in to a shop), I payed 30€ in Germany (would be somewhat about $40), plus shipping.
Next time I send it to your repair shop, seems to be cheaper even with double shipping costs
I thought so ,in Lithuania stuff like that is really cheap if you compare to Germany,UK,USA etc.

My Xperia X10 Queries

Hello everyone, albeit I have a substantial experience with Samsung Galaxy devices, I am new to the world of Sony (Ericsson) Xperia devices in the Android universe.
:silly:
A friend of mine has entrusted with me his Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, to eventually root the device and consequently flash various compatible firmwares, albeit there is seemingly a glitch with his device which I will mention below.
I intend on discussing my queries related to the aforementioned device within this single thread, rather than create separate threads for multiple queries.
Coming to the glitch with my friend's device, after it is powered on, the Sony Ericsson logo keeps reappearing, and this I presume is a bootloop, right? Thus, I thought I will try and attempt to get it working by flashing a stock firmware using Flashtool. But before I begin, I have a few basic queries pertaining to stock firmwares.
How do I identify which country's/region's firmware is existent on the device?
Can I use a stock firmware of any country/region I desire? If so, am I correct to believe it would have to be a generic kit and not a branded one?
The device details of my friend's Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 are as follows -
Model Number: X10i
Android Version: 2.3.3
Baseband Version: 2.1.71
Build Number: 3.0.1.G.0.75
Kernel Version: 2.6.29-00054-g5f01537

I await your knowledgeable responses, and I thank you for your patience with my naivety!
Hello Friends, as I described in my initial post, my friend's device is stuck on the Sony Ericsson logo. His device was never previously rooted or flashed.
I am up to try my best with your expertise of course, to revive his device and make it usable again. Hence, I have downloaded the X10i_3.0.1.G.0.75_GLOBAL-GGL_GENERIC_1232-9897 stock firmware from the [Completed]X10 Stock Firmware Collection thread by THeLogiC, and have also successfully installed Flashtool 0.9.10.1.
I am following the [25NOV][FLASHTOOL GUIDE] HOW TO for n00bies - G-FACE GUIDE thread by Crowds in order to flash the stock firmware, but I seem to have hit a roadblock. When I launch Flashtool, there is no indication of Connected device: as is depicted in the aforementioned guide. I have attached a screenshot of my current working with Flashtool.
I humbly plead for your help.
It says usb debugging us turned off this needs to be turned on but the phone wont boot up past SE logo right? Try repairing the phone with PC conpanion from sony there might be a link for it on here somewhere if not try looking for SEUS software to try a repair the phone

I tried the repair function via PC Companion, but for some reason the update failed and now the device does not even power on.
:crying:
Has the device become a proverbial paper weight?

I apologise for my very "noobish" behaviour! It turned out, the battery charge of the device had exhausted whilst performing the repair via PC Companion.
I charged the device to full capacity and executed the Sony Update Service, which successfully revived the device and made it progress beyond the boot animation. After that, I successfully flashed the Global Generic stock firmware and rooted the device via Flashtool.
I do have perhaps, another naive query! How do I ascertain that the bootloader of the device is locked/unlocked?
:silly:
I humbly await your expertise.
I think you need to use s1tool to check it not 100% sure though if its a capital R its locked and if its a small r then its unlocked I think search on the forum for it plus threes guides for unlocking bootloader aswell if needed
