I'm just curious that when Jellybean update arrives on HTC One S, would there be a port to Evo 3D possible? All the Sense 4 ROMs atm are ported from One S only. So.. I hope it's a doable thing.
It is possible. Back when the vm ics ruu leeked, devs were able to sprintify the ruu into ics roms for us. It will more than likely will not have 4g and 3d at all. No source code yet. There's a thread in general that talks about what htc devices are getting jellybean. That would be a good place to look through. So I posted this in the development forum and got hit up by the xda police for posting a dev question in the wrong forum, so I will try it here?
Does anyone have access to the Honeycomb Kernel source for the HTC View? I am working with Cypherteam and trying to make some kernel mods. When using the flyer kernel, I got bootloops even thought the kernel compiled properly. I am looking for the VIEW kernel source. Can anyone help?

I'm pretty sure everyone is still waiting for HTC to release it. If it was out, i'm sure you would've seen some custom kernels already.
I'm not a dev and have no experience with kernels, but if the View is EOL, why won't they release it? Can we send some emails to HTC to try to get them to release it?

They WILL release it, they are just taking their sweet time like they usually do lol. You could email them, or spam their facebook/twitter about it but i'm not sure how much that actually does.

I think it's just mostly people who feel that they deserve ICS over everyone else who are going to complain about this.
Me? I'm going to be happy that HTC is doing this at all, because it could lead to good things for us.

how do you know there will be an NDA? there are a TON of previews that go on like this that dont officially have an NDA with them.
Regardless it doesn't really matter as the Sensation has already had many leaks so unless they changed it from putting Sense 3.6 on it to Sense 4.0 then there is not much to be gained if someone leaked a dump from the build....for us at least, b/c as far as stuff being able to be ported it'd be no diff than the RUU's that have been leaked in the past.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Without a collaboration of several very tallented devs, the only way we (3d users) are going to have a 90%+ working ICS rom is if by chance there is an official shooter leak (extremely unlikely). That's just the way it is.....

Haven't used this phone in a while, and just decided to flash AOKP release 36a, which runs great, but the Camera and 3D screen are broken. Couldn't find any information with a quick search, so I was hoping someone here had the answer. Thanks!

Any sense 3.6 rom should be what you're looking for. If you want pure ics then I don't think there is one with those working.

Exactly. Look in the CDMA development thread to find them. I recommend ZR3DX, MeanROM ICS, Nocturnal, or MikVirgin.

What is the current status of the Rezound? I'm scheduled to buy one on craigslist tomorrow [unless it falls though]... my previous phone, a Fascinate, has jellybean builds [CM10]. So how about the Rezound? I did some googling, and concluded you can unlock the bootloader via htc.
Also.. I found a link that shows you can download the kernel source from HTC [ http://htcdev.com/devcenter/downloads ]
I put in Rezound, and it shows kernel 3.0.16, for android 4.0.. so does that mean jellybean will be supported? if not now, then soon?

Since you are new, I won't flame you.
But, take a look around the dev section and you will see. We have lots of extremely functional CM9 ROMs. And our best developer Chad is making great strides on CM10.
And if your really into sense theirs a few good ones to choose from, newts xxx 5.1.1 is sense 4.1, viperRez 1.0.3 both are working great.. there's about four to five kernels to choose from all great in their own way. Some don't support undervolting, and only a couple will work on newts Rom as is.. and I say as is cuz the others will work you just need to do something with the zram (not sure to be honest I'm just an avid user). But I do wanna say welcome and have fun theirs lota informative treads and members in this forum.. greythewolf and I included. I did visit the dev forum, and I did see CM9 roms, but I didn't know how stable they were.
Anyway I bought the rezound!
Official support for Jelly Bean from HTC is unlikely, but Chad has made good progress on CM10.
Less than a month ago was relased for the ONES S the jelly bean upgrade. Is there the possibility to see that on EVO one day? Is anybody working on it?
When the one s c2 has its Update, devs will port it for sure ^^

It was released at the end of December, but I think HTC has used some encryption on their recent RUU's to make them harder to port.

Probably this is the worst news ever for me htc hates us lol I hope there would be a method to decrypt RUU, because evo can go on a bit more with developing..
Probably not. The only thing we can do now is maximize the current technology available to us and hope for the best.

I think the developers will come up with at least one 4.1.1/Sense 4+ ROM for the Evo 3D if for no other reason than to prove that they can. The more obstacles HTC puts in the way the more of a challenge it becomes.
It just might take a little longer than ports done in the past. Tools like the one you linked will help.
