trying now...never heard of wallbase. Looks decent though
Anyone know the exact dimensions the wallpaper has to be for it to retain 1080p and also use the entire wallpaper instead of making you crop the wallpaper.

This would be good, but we don't have scrolling home screens to see the whole wallpaper yet. Do we?

Try the Wallbase app. By far the best and biggest selection of HD wallpapers.

THIS. No one is answering this question. I keep seeing people talk about their 1080p walls, but no one mentions that it seems to force an annoying crop. I want full 1080x1920! If no one else answers, I'm going to see if I can figure it out when I get home tonight.

Yea I mean the stock wallpapers that come with the phone are 2160x1920 and they still require cropping if you manually set them as a wallpaper via gallery.
So yeah, 2160x1080 works. What I did was I just found a good 1920x1080 image, rotated it, doubled the width and made sure the image was centered. I put together a pack of 8 abstract wallpapers if anyone is interested.

There is an app called wallpaper wizardii it does something so you don't have to crop the image to fit the screen I used it on my galaxy tab 10.1 might be worth giving a shot on here

Adw has scrolling wallpapers, you have to activate the wallpaper scroll hack under advanced settings.
I'm gonna get this ball rolling...i want to see more pictures instead of links...
Some of my favorites

Ok, really really hope that I am missing something obvious here. When ever I choose a wallpaper to set, it makes me zoom in WAY too much . Wallpapers that I used a lot on my Evo4G are now just 1/3 showing on my 3D. Is there something that I'm missing here, or what is the problem, and is there a solution? This is really the ONLY thing that is frustrating me about this awesome phone.
The new carousel feature makes it so wallpapers are static. And I dont know why most become so zoomed in.

You need to size the wallpapers to the phones resolution.

I felt the same way about wallpapers on the 3D until I saw someone suggest HD Wallpapers from the market and this has been a good solution for me as far as wallpapers go. Lots of great HD pics and no cropping, you just select the pic and that's it.

Mikey B's 3D
Also noticed after a while for whatever reason, the wallpaper will zoom way in, and when you go to re crop it the size of the cropping tool is squared and no longer rectangle. A reboot fixes it and the wallpaper is zoomed back out. I suppose it could be the rom im using which Chogardjr3d.
Try wallpaper wizardrii in from the market! Great for setting pictures as wallpaper and automatically sizes it for your screen!

wallpaper set and save is a must have for any sense device. lets you set pics as wallpapers at native res with NO cropping.
Figured out today what may be causing the wallpaper to blow way up. Probably the same problem when the home screen gets stuck on 3d when you hit the back button from the camera too fast. Its the only time my wallpaper gets huge and when I go to change it the cropping feature is double the size as well. Only way to get it back to normal is open camera and back out slowly or reboot.

What size wallpaper it's correct?
I know the resolution doesn't always jive with the wallpaper size.

1920x1080 according to this wallpaper Asus provided.
1920x1280. problem is finding a background that looks good the way HC/ICS crops the image. If you pick something were the focus is close up and fills the screen it looks like crap when you crop it. The key is to choose a background were the focus is smaller and takes up less real estate, that way when you crop it you get what looks like a full image on your display.
1920x1408
You can find allot of info about wallpapers and Android cropping if you do a search. Take a look in the Galaxy tab/xoom/transformer section and you will find different ways on how to set wallpaper.
I personally like the app "wallpaper slideshow" no cropping.
place the image you like in a separate folder. Can place many pictures here and you can change your wallpaper with a dubbel tapp on the homescreen.
choose to set a live wallpaper and select wallpaper slideshow.
choose the folder you made.

Use Multipic live wallpaper. No matter what size pic you use, it'll line it up perfectly.
Hi everyone,
I'm posting a collection a wallpapers that I resized to 960x540 and rotated some of them. There's a total of 31 wallpapers.
I attached 4 of them so you can have an idea what they are like, and the zip file contains all of the 31 wallpapers.
Note: None of these wallpapers is my work, and most of them still have the name of the creator.
I hope you like them.
wow! 235 views with 33 downloads and not even a single comment!
Sorry, I've downloaded but haven't looked at them yet. One minute...
These are great! Just my style too, I will be using several of these for sure. I just wish there were more

Nothing. Reason is because its got the right amount of pixels height wise but if you have a scrolling home screen it wont be wide enough. I think in order for it to be large enough its 960x960 to compensate for scrolling.

you can use wallpaper wizardii from the market
I have started an imgur album of wallpapers that are the Touchpad's Native Resolution, if you would like me to resize a wallpaper for you if your too lazy or just dont want to do it yourself just post a link to it on here and ill upload it to the album when im done resizing it for you, I will be adding more and more over time, in order to set these without crop you need these two apps https://market.android.com/details?...sMSwxLDEsImNvbS5raGFubmluZy50cHdwYXBwbGllciJd and https://market.android.com/details?id=org.openintents.filemanager&hl=en installed
Here is the link to the album - http://imgur.com/a/BV3T2
Let me know how you like them or if you have any issues, Most of these work great in both vertical and horizontal orientation, although some work better in vertical mode.
Torrent link to the current pack! http://www.mediafire.com/?q6vydss6q2621y4

(what's the best resolution anyway for the tp?)
Thanks!, Also for webos wallpapers are 1024*1024 but for android they are 1536*1024 because of the scrolling wallpaper.
Really nice collection there!
nice collection there

Great stuff! Thanks
This, is excellent. Some really cool wallpapers in here! The Minecraft additions are especially close to me, I have lost too many weeks in that game!
I'm downloading the torrent and will seed for a very long time. It'll mostly be overnight here in the UK - when the US awakes ha ha
Thanks!

Well, that is one of those duh moments for me.
As a side note, I get the highest resolution I can and use QuickPic for my gallery, and for when I set my wallpapers. It works really well and doesn't give you some weird crop that you can get from the stock gallery sometimes

Great collection, thanks!
I'm so sick of these restrictive wallpaper choosers on most devices now, that don't let you have what it is you really want to see on screen! I'm currently using an SGS3 with halo launcher but that doesn't change how Gallery wants to use the image. Same thing with my Galaxy Tab 10.1 Have a look at the screenshots...
So what do other people use?
Does anyone know of an app that can do this better?
QuickPic allows selecting the entire image, or you can pinch & zoom the selection you want.
App called 'crop wallpaper' works best for me. Light and does not auto start at boot. Crops at very high quality as well as selecting certain sections, as well as setting full image uncropped.
