I have a Sprint Samsung galaxy S2 (Epic 4G). I need to get the user name and password from my sirius app. I understand these are stored in .db files but i can't find com.sirius anywhere on my phone. I know i could call XM and get the password but i have special circumstances and this is not an option as I used the free trial and it never stopped working. Been like 8 months now even stayed working after sirius app update. Is there anyway I can recover the user name and password that the phone is using to log in as I just got a galaxy S3 an dont wan to loose my free XM. Any help would be much appreciated.

Do I need to root my phone? I've looked everywhere and can't find anything on where it is stored I am able to copy the app with Astro but this does not copy app data (user/pass) Any advice on where to begin would be greatly appreciated. I am new to the world of android hacking, to the setup of Android file systems. I am far from a noob when it comes to pc, xbox, ps3 hacking and how those file systems work and are set up, i am actually quite knowledgeable in those areas but never got into android hacking/file systems. Someone please point me in the right direction. I do not want to root the phone if I do not have to as I am giving it to my mother and would have to put it back to stock but if rooting it is the only way I will do it.

Hi, I new to the android platform, but I am a longtime xda user. But I did spend most of my time at ppcgeeks. I'm coming from the pro2 and the titan before that, and both were on winmo.
So here is what I am looking for, I want a spb backup type of app to save all my programs, user info and the like. I would also like a gprofile type of app also. I'm kind of nervous about rooting until I can backup the things I have downloaded and the username/passwords I have saved.
I have searched through the market and google for both of these and couldn't find anything on either of these. I have found everything else I needed, it is just these two that I can't find. Maybe I was searching for the wrong terms or something, so any help would be appreciated.
One last thing, does anybody have any recommendations for websites that stream tv that work with our phones. I can't get atdhe or Justin.tv either one to work. And of course my Hava product doesn't have a working android app. Being the avid college football fan that I am, I need to find a good solution for this too.
Thanks for any and all help
Brandon.
Titanium backup will save your apps and app data system settings Bluetooth and wifi conections and stuff but you need to be rooted to use it.
Sms backup an a restore will back up and restore your text and you don't need root access.
Google backs up you r system setting s and wallpaper if you allow it. It will also redownload you r apps but not the data you had with them.
This all gets restored when you sign in your google account.

Thanks man for the answer. I was beginning to think no one had any answers to help me with.
Hi,
I lost my LG P500. Someone stole it.
I know i should've done many things to track it. But unfortunately i didn't! i don't even know it's IMEI number or any details.
But I am here seeking help on a seemingly feeble ray of hope in tracking my phone!
When i open "android market" and click on the 'install' button of any app, i see that my phone is listed with a different carrier name now.
i.e earlier it used to be "Vodafone IN LG-P500".
Now it is shown as "TATA DOCOMO LGE LG-P500".
Which definitely means that the thief used a TATA DOCOMO sim and got connected to android market from my stolen phone!
Now this is my question: Is there any way to retrieve phone details of that TATA DOCOMO connection (like phone number or IMEI details etc.) from "Android Market"?
Or in case some one has a better advice, please post and i would be grateful.
Thanks in advance for your time and concern.
Regards
Manu
Idk about retrieveing data but if you still have the box of the phone there should be also your phones IMEI (it can also be on your warranty papers) also if 6you got it via a carrier you might want to go and tell them and the police what happened.Maybe they can track it down via it's internet connection location. One more thing if you get it back then instal avast and enable it's anti theft option.

There is a tracking app from android market which you can install (from the market) which is for phones lost or stolen. It's called second chance or plan B I dont remember. But its for if you didnt have any anti-theft apps installed at the time it was lost.
Hi all. I've been following XDA for a long time. But since i am more into the hardware i need some help with the software.
I ordered a Bedove I5 from Uredeal.com . And i am not sure if the chinese have put some code in it which make all the things that goes over the internet is send trought there servers.
Whenever i open a chat (whatsapp, fb messenger etc.) and send something. It has a time stamp of 6 hours later. And messages i receive have a normal time stamp. This also happens with multiplayer games like wordfeud. an active game says for 6 hours long that its 0 seconds ago i made a move. and after 6 hours its going to count. I even got an email from google that someone in china tried to login to my account but they blocked it. I want to use my mobile also for mobile banking but with this in my mind its just not save and i dont want to take the risk.
If i manage to make a back-up from my rom, can someone take a look at it and if possible fix it for me (clean up my rom)?
I thank the person(s) that are willing to help me in advanced.
If someone knows a link to a clean rom for my device. Feel free to post.
Edit: I couldnt find one by myself.

IMO, its more likely a poorly written ROM than spying going on. Either way I'd steer away from Chinese imports. It's not worth it. Spend a bit more for a real phone.

How can you comfirm that? It can be both ways. But since i use this phone people out of china try to get on my gmail acc. So by this i think your argument false.
And the quality of chinese phones are getting higher and higher. I have totally no negative points about the phone. Its a good product. It doesnt even freeze which i see at most smartphone models. Everything workes good as it should be. No wifi or connectivity problems.
Ill try to root it and make a backup so people can look at it. And confirm if its a bad rom or spying. My feeling says spying.
There are some apps on it with the title in chinese. Cant delete them without root and dont know if they contain system information or the information they send everyting to...

Have you tried to do a factory reset?

I managed to make a back-up with mtkdroidtools. The funny thing is. When i finished the back-up. I saw a function in mtkdroidtools named "remove china". I tried that button with the temp root. and it removed all the chinese apps that where in the root of the phone and that the time and everything else is ok now.
I cant place the link to the back-up since i got less then 10 posts. I can private message it to someone who can post the link to here.

I have boost Mobile and my wife has att somehow she is able to see my call log and texts from her phone somehow I've googled it but haven't found anything helpful.. So I thought ide bring this question to the android community to see if anyone here has any thoughts or input to how or what she uses to do this!! Thanks in advance!!
Most likely because she has access to your Boost Mobile account so that she could log into it from any web browser and see your info. Either that or she has installed a spyware type app on your phone. Can't think of any other way this could occur.
Hello Everyone,
This is a 100% genuine question, I am not a crook, blagger or thief.
A friend of a friend passed away recently, she was young (30's) and left three young children behind and a heartbroken husband.
Anyway, she had a sony xperia X with photos of her kids, her life and all her personal accounts linked to it - and it is behind a password so her family have been unable to gain access to her phone. They have asked me to help as ive done a few things for my friend in the past with a high level of success (data recovery, etc)
I have a ton of info about her, kids DOB's, husbands DOB, all their names, her email account (but no password for that either) and a ton of hints and suggestions of what the PW could be from her dad but so far ive been unable to get in.
I have tried DrFone android toolkit but the phone isn't supported.
I have searched and searched and the things I have found either involve a hard reset/wipe which we dont want or involve using some dodgy solution that I really dont trust (i only just persuaded myself to get DrFone as that didnt exactly look fully legit)
So i'm reaching out to this community as I know if anyone will have any suggestions it would more than likely you guys.
Im a LONG time lurker of these forums (although i'm ashamed to admit ive only just singed up now to post this) im reasonably clued up on these things and have messed about with phones since I was a kid, but this has left me scratching my head.
Few points to note;
The phone is locked with a password, I dont beleive USB debugging will be enabled (cant check) and I *think* i know the gmail account linked to it but cant get access to it. The phone is no longer on a network so cant access the web or have security pins sent to it via SMS although I dont think I would be able to see them as its been rebooted and needs password to view contents of any messages that come in.
Thanks in advance guys and girls
if its locked bootloader then there is no way you can retrieve data
not from the internal storage
its encrypted! any attempt to login and rooting will require long process and sony will wipe everything
try remembering her gmail and password. usually backup goes to gmailaccount , perhaps thats you clue
Thanks for your reply mate, I am trying to get access to her email, I shall keep you posted
Why not unlock her bootloader, flash TWRP and gain access to the pictures that way?
Edit: OEM unlock needs to be enabled in developer options - unlikely
