What did you do in the first place to mess it up?

I didnt do anything ! Even i havent root my phone either !! M using 2.3.4 Ind version gb.
Can i update it with official ics and have new baseband ?

Everyone thinks that unknown baseband means corrupted efs but not always. First try taking out your battery for 3 min and pit it back. Your baseband may come back. Works for me.

i wouldn´t reccomend to do anything like efs or whatever without having some basic experience
Just update your phone and see what happens. 2.3.4 isn´t the best firmware imo
i think an update is a solution for your problem.

Dear Noob..you cannot change the IMEI number yourself..you need to have a backup of your EFS folder for that..if you backed it up use the Ktools app to restore the nav_data.bin file...
Otherwise Service Center..
I hope it helped..
P.S. Post questions in the Q&A section..it is there for a reason..
I also flashed omega v14 and ended up the same as you

Looks like you are in deep trouble.
Considering you are asking this question in general section, I'll take the liberty of assuming that you did not backup your efs folder.
May be someone else can pitch in here to help you. Meanwhile you can confirm if you have the backup of efs folder or not?

Statements like that make me really apprehensive about referring people to XDA for help. Next time you have a bright idea and want to share it, just don't.

Here is a guide to repair your IMEI from the SGS2 Forum! It should be the same! I solved my IMEI problem with this Guide on my SGS1.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1264021
[GUIDE] Recover your IMEI in 9 steps.
It is very important that you back up your efs before flashing any ROM, and before you folow this guide BACKUP the faulty efs folder because it contains the old backup of the file nv_data.bin. It beginns with a dot like .nv_data or similar (because I haven't a SGS3, but the structure of the efs folder should be similar).
Please be carefully and think twice what you are doing!!!

There is a thread floating around somewhere that explains how you can restore it if you didn't make a backup. But for the life of me I can't find it.
But it's definitely out there somewhere

nope, no backup was done.
I think its time for a paid repair
Use odin and restore to a 4.0.4 Firmware then reset flash counter and then update with kies to 4.1.1 and your imei should be back if it's not then return it to samsung/the place you bought it from and get a warrenty repair ( and what ever they just say u havent flashed it ever )
any idea to what 4.0.4 firmware i should flash it to.

No EFS backup = service centre (or local mobile repair shop).
You should have made your efs backup. Don't try to use foreign efs.

Dont make extra threads mate . Look at philz kernel thread
May be just flash a kernel philz, jeebo, hirox or speedmod? The easiest way to root your phone

is it safe to flash the boot.img using odin? (packaging it as tar.md5)
Pay for a repair, default CWM backup doesn't include efs partition.

Which firmware you are running with?
Check MG4 modem in net, that should solve your problem if you are using Android 4.3

[Q] Restoring a .bak file

Hello Guys ,
I have an old backup with Samsung Galaxy S3 ToolKit with a 4.1.2 android version
however my phone is now 4.3.0 and I want some picture from this old backup files without rstoring the whole file to my device as Iam afraid it might damage it because it was an old android version
is there a way to extract or open the .bak file without putting it back on my phone ?
Any help ??

hello ????
Help please ???????
I've never used that tool. But, why don't you downgrade to 4.1.2 (mg4 baseband or higher), restore the backup, and then do a regular backup of the stuff you need?
If you don't want to loose stuff you have right now on 4.3, just nandroid backup before the downgrade.
This method requieres you to use odin twice, but it beats spamming the same post over and over waiting for divine enlightenment.

As long as you downgrade to 4.1.2 with mg4 baseband or higher, none at all (because efs is the sane format as 4.3 firmwares).
Yes I did with mg4 baseband amd no problem at all
