Twitter App notifications. - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

For some reason my Twitter app isn't pushing notifications to my device. I have it set to sync data every 5 minutes and it still isn't pushing any notifications even after 5 minutes. I'm not really sure if the sync setting has anything to do with notifications though. Any ideas?

Reinstall... I had these problem many times...
Uninstall, clear cache, install, sign in, enable tweets from everyone... Problem should be solved.

I'm loving my new 9900 but for some reasons my Twitter notifications are not coming through. I have all the settings enabled for Twitter.

Htc sense authorization for facebook

I cant get the notification to go away, or get it to actually authorize. Anyone found a fix? Stock htc amaze, just got it today. Facebook works and all but notification is annoying.

Which authorization? I'm trying to follow what you're asking.
Have you tried restarting the phone?
When i first started my phone out of the box today, i logged in to facebook to sync contacts. I got a notification saying
"Authorize htc sense to access facebook". I tried many times and it says sense failed. I cant remove the notification now.

Try this, restarting the phone first.
If it's still there go into
settings>applications>manage applications>facebook for HTC sense>clear data
Restart again just to be on the safe side.
Then log back in.
Let me know how it goes bro.
Tried that, and didnt log back into facebook but notification is still there

If you just got your phone and don't mind wiping data how about a factory reset?
yeah I'm going to try that, but I'm afraid as soon as it boots up it will ask for it again. It asks for it when I add and remove synced accounts too. I have no idea. I'm surprised nobody else has had this issue so far.
well i reset the phone, as soon as I tried to add facebook account to my sync list (not the facebook app), it did it again, asking for authorization and now it's sitting in notifications again.

I honestly don't know what the deal could be. Sorry to hear you're having such bad luck with it.
Reboot, clearing data and a reset still didn't help.
I'm all out of ideas bro.
So tmo tech support has no clue and they're supposed to call me tomorrow with a resolution...this should be good.

Well let me know what they say. =/
Nothing from tmo yet, but task manager ending the Facebook for sense removes the notification, but after reboot it comes back, so if nobody else is apparently having this issue, I'll return the phone for a new one.

I had the issue. you have to hit the notification and wait. Do it before bed or something with the phone plugged in, eventually it will time out. I did this a couple of times and it went away. Also, Check your apps on facebook from your desktop, if HTC sense is already authorized, try removing it, then allowing the mobile app to re add it. If you go that route, I'd clear all data from facebook and uninstall the app (it's seperate from facebook for sense) and then deactivate the sense app from your facebook on the desktop before you readd your facebook account to the facebook for sense, then download the full facebook app. I'm getting sick of everything trying to incorperate facebook into my life.
^ Thanks man, you gave ne the idea of looking at the apps setting in facebook, and sure enough, i had platform apps turned off. I turned it on, and tried the authorization again, and voila! it's gone!

Authorize HTC Sense
Did you ever get this resolved? I have the same problem. The Facebook app seems to work fine but I get the Authorize HTC Sense error in the notification bar. When I click on it, I get "error occured with HTC Sense, please try again later".
Read two posts above you. Ugh

Facebook app bugg for ICS

So is any one using the ICS ROMs having issues with facebook? I am having this weird issue every time I try and post a status I get a FC. It happens to me on every ICS ROM (I also do 5x wipe every time I install the ROMS)
clear the app's cache and data. can also do the same with a reinstall. last resort would be to ditch the official app for something else
Works fine for me on CleanRom 4.1.

Working on CleanROM 3.7, too.
Log into Facebook on your computer. Click in the update your status area. The button next to Post where you select who your are sending your list too. Select anything besides custom. I had a custom list with 2 groups in it and Facbook would force close everytime. Try changing it to friends. Enjoy!

That was actually my problem lol, too bad I can't use my custom list

Agreed kryptik06:
I was trying to use Facebook more like Google+ with Customs lists. Looks like Facebook doesn't like that. Glad it fixed your issue. Took me awhile to find that answer too.
What was weird in my case is the issue kept following me to different phones. Then I logged in as my wife and had no issues. That told me it was a facebook setting. So I changed that and bam!
Good times!

Try this one, it helped me a while ago:
http://www.androidnz.net/2011/11/how-to-enable-push-notifications-in.html
Regarding step 7 there is this update in the comments:
account settings>then to notifications (NOT APPS)>then scroll down at the bottom of the list there should be a link that says 'Other Applications' click that and a list of more apps should open... theres a tick box next to them
I've done this and still not working :-(

smack it against the wall several times then put it in the freezer for 24hrs, after you do the first two tasks, remove it from the freezer then put the phone down onto a chopping board and allow to thaw for two hours. last but not least, stomp on it ten times. Now you should not see anymore missed calls on the screen or anything for that matter. best of luck

Tapatalk Subscribed Topics widget not working

I've been having this issue since version 4.6.2. When I try to use the "Subscribed Topics" widget for XDA or a couple of other forums, it just says "loading" and never shows anything. It works fine for some other forums, though. Anyone else having this issue?
Sent from my 831C using Tapatalk
I'm not having that issue, I have been having issues of it not pushing notifications to gmail, galaxy s4 rooted 4.4.2. I have uninstalled both gmail and tapatalk, wipe dalvik cache, and reinstalled both, nothing has worked. I'm pretty sure I had/have everything set up right in tapatalk to get notifications of new posts on xda. It was working good until yesterday, don't know what happened. Sorry cant help
It's alright, thanks for the input! I really don't want to do a restore from an old Titanium backup (if I have one).

My Note 3
Hello guys.
From 4-5 days ago I'm not receiving Tapatalk notification on my phone. I'm receiving emails only
I'm using 5-6 forums, inclusive this forum. When someone reply to a subscribed thread, I'm receiving email, but Tapatalk not showing me nothing. I want to see the notification on my phone.
All settings from the Tapatalk are fine.
How can I get the notifications again ?
PS: This issue come from the SAMSUNG PUSH SERVICES or SAMSUNG DATA RELAY or SAMSUNG CLOUD QUOTA? All are frozen by me
