Seems like developing for this phone left a mark on splashscreen just advicing everyone it is the same as when entering recovery but now shows everytime i boot, not a problem since it boots and does everything normally, not gonna try to ruu it is just an advice
litetaker has the same issue, it happened after flashing a experimental boot.img to try to boot cm10 (not sucessful by now)

So after flashing aosp Rom I can't seem to flash anything other than sense 3.6 roms. Why I try I get a constant booting. I'm s-on and also I've noticed the roms with kernel zip built in. The PH98IMG doesn't install on ad card. But zips flashed in recovery do. Also bootfast isn't working either, even tho phone is recognized by computer. Any help would be appreciated on this thanks in advance.

if you can't get to fastboot then you have the zip from another file on there. delete that then in order to get that certain rom to work you have to extract the roms boot.img and fastboot flash on pc.

Personally I don't know if that would help, well....actually I don't see why it wouldn't cuz the s-off process will wipe everything.. I'd say do it and flash somethin fresh, don't nandroid after.. try a sense 4 Rom fresh.. if it still doesn't go id try flashjg another aosp Rom that is known not to cause this problem your havig, then try flashing s4 again.. I'm really curious as to why this is happening.. I'm not sure if any of this would help but these are the steps I personally would take to try and trouble shoot..

Crazy is, the problem seems to be something to do with kernels. I can only flash one all others even funky kernel with install thru fastboot, but the out come is the same. Continuous booting. At this point I don't see S-_OFF will fix the problem either. I ruued twice factory reset and used Scott's ten wipe and clean installs only to in up with the same out come.

Are you flashing the boot img in fastboot before installing in recovery? Most sense roms are over 500mb and have the same kernel so it boots up fine without flashing the boot img before hand. Aosp roms will require you to flash the boot img before hand if you're s-on

^This. You will need to put the boot.img in your ADB tools folder on your computer, put the phone in fastboot USB mode and use the command 'fastboot flash boot boot.img' to flash the kernel to your phone. A better solution is to get S-off so you don't have to mess with flashing the kernel separately .

Agreed. Best thing to do is get S-OFF! :good: :good: :good:
S-OFF is cake now. No reason NOT to do it. It will make all of this EASIER for you. Just up and do it.
You have two possible methods to do this: DirtyRacun or Facepalm. The latter can be done in five minutes.
You'll thank yourself later.

From the thread I linked previously -
"You can also come by irc for support or just to say thanks: #FacePalm http://chat.andirc.net:8080/?channels=facepalm"
I know it can be scary, but you have to read the forum(s) and/or watch the video(s). Since you took the trouble to register on this site, don't rush and take the time to learn and understand by reading, reading, and more reading. It's not an overnight thing, but it does come eventually. It took me 6 months before I began to have a decent understanding of what I was doing with my first PC...
No offense, but we can't hold your hand as you cross the street. You have to take those first steps yourself. Read carefully, make notes that YOU will understand a day later... but you must take the responsibility for what happens to your phone.

I had corrupted ROMs right after trying evervolv rom. Anyone have the original gingerbread and ICS ruu? The ones I found online seem to be corrupted as I get the "sd card has been disconnected" message every time I try to put it on the SD card ( have tried 3 different SD cards and all of the ruus found here). Also some have been taken down as I guess the NFC amaze development is a ghost town now .

Must have been another JB rom, I lost track testing all the roms haha.
I'm okay now running Viper ICS rom. I didn't have to S-OFF and return to stock. However, WiFi stopped working and I tried to re-flash the faux kernel using smartflash in 4ext but to no avail.
I was updated my my meanrom to 6.5 from 64 through the updater I went into recovery wiped every like normal and flashed the Rom it said FAILED I tried to reboot and it said that my phone no longer had an OS so I cancled out and tried to use my latest back up that took me back to the bootloader so as a final attempt I went into recovery and tried to reflash meanrom 6.4 and that Failed also Im under 60% battery and I've exhausted everything I know to look for can someone please help me.....
I'm rooted
S-off dirty Racun
HBOOT 1.19.2222
I've rooted phones before but this Evo LTe has been a headache from day one, can some please help me out!!!
Should be an easy fix. Download a ROM to your computer, then connect your phone and computer. Mount USB storage via recovery and copy the ROM from your computer to your phone. Once you've done this you can flash the ROM like normal.
Also, if you have a backup (which you should), you can restore it to get you up and running.
Sounds like you may have gotten a bad download, which is why the flash failed. What version of recovery are you using?

Doesn't 2.4.1.0 and above only work for the latest touch panel drivers/firmware?

If you're on the upgraded touch panel driver you have to use 2.4.1.0.; if you aren't on the updated driver, it's optional.
