[Q] Stock kernel Modified for CM9 - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

hey... so i was wondering if any of the developers ever modified the stock ICS kernel to run with CM9 because apparently battery drains a lot with CM9 kernel... i've tried the Alliance kernel but its almost the same performer as the stock CM9 kernel...

no custom kernels will work with the ics leaks that are in android development. reason being the kernel source has not been released by samsung for ics. hence why they are only custom kernels for gingerbread. the best kernel for you to use on ics is the lp6 kernel..that is what i have used on cm9 and gave me good battery life...not sure about the usb on the go but i am pretty sure that usb storage is not working at the moment on cm9 so could be the same for your rom to....but anyway finishing this post no custom kernel yet till kernel sources are released. so you have to make do with the kernels that come with the leaks
It's a touch pedantic, but for clarity, there is no 'official' ICS ROM at this time. 1st March has been mooted, but frankly I'll believe that as and when I see it!
do not know if it is the same thing but have a look on the market for airdroid.

It shouldn't be so difficult to google for these two things?

Most stable DD?

I recently rooted my brother's evo and installed a custom ics rom on it, but hes been having a lot of problems with it and really bad battery drain. Can someone please recommend a stable daily driver (gingerbread or ics) with good battery life and no bugs please. Thanks in advance
i recommend MeanRom 4.3 However, you have to make sure to flash a custom kernel on there as well or you'll have some reboot issues. Either the newest anthrax kernel or dodava's

I've heard MeanRom 4.2 (not 4.3) with Dodava's 5.4 kernel is the most stable, battery efficient Gingerbread ROM.

How to install CM9 and X Kernel on LWW?

Hi, I just want to know how to install CyanogenMod 9 on my Live, and X Kernel. I can't consider myself as a noob, since I have already flashed SE phones before, and now that I have my first smartphone (WT19i) I'm very happy with it and I've already root it and installed CWM. But the problem is I have never installed a Rom before, and I don't know how does they work, but I saw a video of a Live with CM9 installed and I really liked it, so I want to know how to do it and install X Kernel too. Has someone already try CM9? I would like to hear how is it going for you.... Thanks.
No u cant. Currently the xkernel only supports gb roms. Cm9 needs its own kernel.
And u probably need to update baseband too.
Ok thanks for your quick reply. So if I have ICS Stock Rom installed, what Kernel would you recommend me to save more battery life?
And is there a better ICS Rom than the Stock one? Because I would like to try something new..
Only stock or stock based rom will give best battery life.
Last time I try cm9 it got horrible battery life. But that was weeks ago. Hearing good thing about latest fxp cm9 126.
My personal favorite and daily driver is muiv4, with my own kernel. Miuiv4 is beautiful and got many cool feature that I need. But still a little bit battery drainer tho.
In the end it depends on your needs.
Want battery saver, use stock or custom rom based on stock.
Want blazing fast rom use cm9.
Want beautiful elegant rom use miuiv4.
is cyanogenmod9 has its built in stock kernel? or i will install kernel cyanogenmo9?

You need to install cyanogenmod kernel by fxp or the one provided in the zip file
It's a boot.img and the easiest way to flash it is using flashtool...
How to install custom roms/kernels is in my signature...

[Q] Kernels for CM9

What are the different custom kernel for CM9 in Atrix?
I'm in stock ICS kernel.
I think you can try faux's CM9 kernels and see the result, but don't think a miracle will happen!

[Q] (Xgo) Cm9 or Stock

I was just wondering whether i should use munjeni's stock rom with oc kernel, or is the cm9 rom by fxp is worth it. Has anyone tried both and if so which gives better performance.
About CM9 and the .54

In my Opinion the Stock ROM ICS: a burden, seems like a just out of the 'beta' rom.
The CM, something is bothering me and I didn't found the thread about the Stock ROM b.54 ... Why do we have to have this ROM instead of the c.10 ??
Seems illogical for me regarding the baseband modem.
So if you find the answer to the b.54, please share it.
About you doubt bet on CM.
Regards.
There is no need for overclocking the cpu. I use CM9.1 on my Go and it runs very nice.
@lvcargnini the .54 ROM updates your modem firmware
