Am I the only one who, no matter what rom I install or where I go, always see a yellow bar under the "Mobile network signal" in "System settings > Battery > 'Click on the graph'"?
It is my understanding that if this bar is yellow / red the phone is constantly trying to find a better signal, and in turn hurting my battery?
Is this what the signal fixes in the CM10 thread are about?
the signal fixes in cm10 refer to the signal bars not showing properly, and also the yellow bar in your battery stats means you have had your mobile network active... if any color bar is there its active, if its not its off.. and if its red then it was on but disconnected.. and of course green is charging stats i think (if i remember correctly), if you have a red signal bar then you should turn off your mobile network until your in a better area with better signal because you dont really need mobile network when on wifi unless MMS'in

Quick question:
Noticed that in the battery graph, for the Phone Signal portion, sometimes it's yellow, sometimes it's green
What is the difference???
Edit: Found this nice explanation here:

I have a problem with signal bar which locates in battery usage screen. This bar always Yellow. But it supposes to be green when it has full signal. I have been using the phone for couple of months and I have never seen the Green bar.
Any ideas??
Is there any app out there or modification that can make the Galaxy S2 display the 'real signal' bars, because even if I have just 1 ASU of signal in the 3rd party signal widget, the S2 displays no actual bars but a call can still be established, i.e. I want it so the S2 will still show just 1 bar of signal even on 1-3 ASU, there is the 'real signal app' but I wondered if you can hack/mod the default bars?
Thanks!!
If you're rooted you can try installing Jkays mod

You can set the signal bar to display 6 bars and the asu level etc.
However I am connected. It doesn't show any signal strength and the little yellow arrows any more.
But I am connected to high speed wifi and browsing.
Is there any way to do something so at least I get he proper reading from my wifi icon in bottom right corner?

Click to collapse
I got that too once in a while. You can turn off wifi and turn it back on, the indicator in the status bar will show connected.
Hi!
If I have a automated rule to have WiFi to turn off when I turn off the screen, the WiFi icon does not show the correct signal strength. The icon is in one colour grey with a blue or white dot at the bottom of the icon. So I cannot see what signal strength I have to my router. I have tried to use several apps like Tasker, Automatit, different battery saving apps (Juice Defender), and even the built in "Smart Actions app", with the same results. I have to reboot my phone to have the icon to show the correct value.
I know that the icon turns blue when I'm connected to Google servers (just to avoid misunderstanding about my question)
Have searched and searched about this problem but not found any solution.
My phone is a Motorola Razr XT910 with Jelly Bean (this problem started from ICS)
Would be grateful for any answers!
