[Q] KLU by Curtis LT7052 Recovery mode / Reset - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a KLU by Curtis model # LT7052. My Nieces got a hold of it and now cant get into device. Does anyone know how to possibly get into recovery mode to reset the device and just start fresh. any help with this is greatly appreciated.

idk if bumping my own thread is a no no, but i really need help with this. ive been searching for about 5 hours now on how to fix this issue and im coming up with nothing. possibly going through adb but i need to know how to connect the device to the computer to get adb. thanks for any help in advance.

Usually booting into recovery involves first turning off the device, then powering on the device while holding a combination of keys to boot into recovery mode. While this key combination is different for each device the most common combination is holding the volume up+power button simultaneously. Once in recovery use the volume up and volume down button to navigate menu selection and power button to select. Navigate to the "factory reset" option and select it, once it finishes select the "reboot system" option, and you should have your tablet reset.

ADB(google it)
Also try 3 button combo, when you see splash screen let go power and volume down but continue holding volume up(maybe will unstick volume down)

I can't boot the phone since i'm stuck at the "galaxy s2 screen" since my volume down is acting up i can't enter recovery "holding the button down"
either i'm doing something wrong, but adb doesn't recognize my device and i have the drivers. it sucks not have the - volume button not working.
is there another way that recognizes the phone to get into recovery?
could always get a jig to get into download mode, flash back to stock or another rom.
EDIT: next time, i suggest that app or setting up a recovery mode link in the power menu

Try going to mounts and storage, and set the usb mount to on. I haven't tried this but I know that the computer does recognize the phone.

the problem is that I can't use my "volume down button isn't registering" and adb doesn't see my device. in device manager all i see is galaxy s2 with an exclamation point. and the phone is stuck on the splash screen with the yellow triangle. if i could get into recovery i will be fine. the volume button is killing me right now. i need to get adb to see the phone i reinstalled all drivers and programs no luck. googled for 2hrs. struggling here
Sounds like a driver issue if the computer sees the device with a yellow bang on it.
I would check for another set of drivers and then select the device and do update drivers and point it to the newly downloaded ones.
I don't know for sure, but would a jig get it into a mode that would allow for a flash?
Did your volume buttons ever work? Are you trying with a case on?

Can you get to RCK, or fastboot? if you can only get to APX, then you are hard bricked and must replace the MB to move forward. Do some searching there is plenty of info her on it all.

I understand what you see but where can you go?
Vol down + Power should get you to RCK, recovery, fastboot, etc...
Vol down - Power should get you to APX
If you can not Vol down + Power to get into recovery, you are hard bricked and your only choice as of right now is to replace the Mother Board.

I may be getting overly technical here, but I am not aware of a recovery mode.....
If you are trying to get into recovery, press your vol +/- keys and power at same time. Feel vibrate and let go of power.
My question is, if you dont know how to get into recovery, what are you going to do when you get there.
Just an observation. Maybe you need to read before you mess something up.
Let us know what your trying to do

It sounds like you're either in Android Recovery 3e mode or in CWM recovery and want to get out? Just press the vol up and vol down keys to navigate and press the power button to select the options. Click reboot phone now and your done. :good:
Hahahah. Smh sorry .......

Hard Bricked

Hi.
Long story short I hard bricked my LG V30 (I never thought it would happen to me, lol). I have no access to TWERP, download mode or fastboot. I only get the "no command" message.
Reset button dance doesn't do anything except go to no command.
Is there any last resort or should I sell it for parts (as it's in perfect condition otherwise?)
It's the H931
Kind regards,
ZabbenW
You said that you have no access to recovery or download mode, but, just in case and before you do anything risky, verify that you've tried the following exactly:
To enter recovery:
1. Turn off the phone by holding down the power button for several seconds.
2. Hold down the Volume Down and power buttons simultaneously.
3. When the LG logo appears, release just the power button and then press and hold it again.
4. Continue holding both buttons until the "Factory data reset" menu appears.
5. Choose Yes twice. With TWRP installed, it will enter that rather than perform a factory reset.
To enter download mode:
1. Turn off the phone by holding down the power button for several seconds.
2. Hold down the Volume Up button.
3. While still holding it down, connect the phone to a Windows PC with a USB cable.
You can now run patched LGUP on your PC and flash a KDZ.

That's what you need to do. It's somewhat involved, but at least you're not risking anything: The phone is already bricked
Sorry, this is completely unrelated from the current topic but I reallly need help..I tried to flash a rom on my HTC but thr preloader got corrupted xo my phone go hard bricked. Pluging the phone into a computer just shows a red led and the computer shows nothing in device manager.
I tried uninstalling the MTK Preload VCOM driver and reinstalling it but that still didn't work.
Even pressing volume keys while connecting still gave nothing.
I also tried disconnecting the battery and reconnecting the phone to the computer but still nothing.
If there is anyone, please help me.....
I need to unbrick my phone................... I am begging, please help me.

This is a forum for the LG V30. You should look for help in whichever forum is for your HTC (or for the most similar model):

Possible hard brick

Hey,
I installed TWRP as I have done many times before using the links from here and Odin, now all that happens is TeamWin flashes up every few seconds if I get into recovery, if I do adb reboot download, it just goes to the samsung splash screen and sits there forever. All I have access to is adb recovery, so I can open a adb shell, but from there I can do nothing.
I feel it is bricked, unless anyone knows what I can do from adb, any help would be greatly appreciated. It's not so much the issue twrp I need help with, I assume I did something wrong and that's caused the brick, but more the possible things I can do to fix.
Thanks in advance if anyone can help

So did you backup the original boot partition? If not, maybe just use odin and flash your rom back. The term 'bricked' means the device is completely unresponsive, that's not your case. It's not 'bricked'.

Tried all the key combos for download and none of them work, I figured if abd reboot download didn't work the keys wouldn't either but still tried
i can help go to adb recovery remove usb cable hold power+volume up+down all three together once the device vibrates only remove power button keep holding volume up+down and plug in the usb cable(connected to computer) immediately otherwise it may go to Samsung screen then in odin mode just download firmware from samfw website and flash ap file done
if it shows Samsung logo its not a hard brick its a soft brick i had my tab hard bricked actually no response to charger screen doesn't turn on nothing i gave it to repair guy he just removed battery put it back and it started lol

I 'think' I've sorted it, turning the device of in this state just don't seem to do anything or is too quick not sure.
If I get it into 'recovery' I can then do adb reboot and as soon as I hit enter hold both volume buttons and it makes it into download.
Currently reflashing the stock rom so thank you
