Just drain the battery to 1 % then charge it to 100 %. Repeat. You can try to use reset fuel gauge in extweaks also.

So far after four hours of deleting a system at the screen has not come on. The system app is called the Samsung service mode. Not sure if this is going to cause any other issues but I will continue monitoring and report back with my findings it's not guaranteed to work though.
Reserved just in case ha ha

It looks like your antenna is broken. Send your phone to service.

Not all issues can be fixed through software -.-

I had that problem in 1 or 2 roms I tried way back...It would come as 'error for searching for networks try some other time'(something like this)
I would put phone in offline and try sometimes I would get signal sometimes I wouldn't.
I flashed another rom to solve the issue

Could anyone create an Android app that will use a lot of battery (maybe using the phones functions like wifi etc) to drain the battery and then when the battery reaches 1 or 0% it logs how long the battery lasted.
This could then be used to compare battery life on a range of Android devices.

how do I get a more accurate battery in 1 % increment . cause the default is 5% which isn't very accurate.
The battery meter inside the galaxy player sucks in general.
Sent from my SHV-E160S using xda app-developers app
I don't think you can change it.
Sent from my ZX Spectrum
why 5% isn't accurat enough?
Send from sg wifi5.0 with mine kernel
Mines increments by 1%. I thought it was standard?

Only on the 4.0 (and maybe 3.6 or whatever).
so is there a custom rom which does the 1% hack for the SGP 5.0?

No. The hardware does not support it.

I suppose it would be possible to make such a mod, using timer-based battery increment changes. Of course, it would be a whole ton of work that I'm not gonna do
Anyway it is pointless and uses more battery

Thanks for the reply. I am using Better Battery Stats which works great.

HTC butchered the native battery stats on this phone. Idiots. It is objectively worse than the stock AOSP battery stats.
